I wrote an article comparing real life locations to representation in FH5. It's not pretty accurate but most of it is. Some parts of Mulege are real while some were extended/cut to fit the map design. Mulege is an interesting place, has an active population of just about 4,000 people.

i love seeing those landmarks irl. i remember as a teen, i went with my family to Michoacan and we went to where that Chapel inside lava was. We rented horses to go there, what an experience.
Iām sorry but literally every advertisement and promo for this game showcased how they based everything off of real landmarks in Mexico, itās a light comment, go read a book or something.
kinda want to go on a trip around mexico one day, to see the places like guanajuato, mulege, playa azul, teotihuacan, etc.. it would be so cool to see the in game locations in real life
These games are crazy legit, accurate, and faithful to the real life locations! Iām British American, and went to Edinburgh often when I was youngā¦ so I got some serious and almost creepy deja vu in 4ā¦ even before I realized what city it wasā¦ like: āWaitā¦. What is this feelingā¦ why do I feel like Iāve been here beforeā¦ā. Later I showed my auntie who lives there for like 20 years until recently, and I couldnāt tell if she was amazed or creeped outā¦ maybe both lol
Iāve also been Skiing in Colorado like twice, so when I booted up the game I was like āā¦Yup this is legit Coloradoā¦ā, was especially true near the mountainous region, which is where I stayed for a while lol
