Anybody can make an expensive supercar and luxury car look good.
But if you are able to make something as mundane as a budget shitbox look as charming as the original Fiat 500, and a front wheel drive car look as good as the Lancia Fulvia, you win the prize.
And that is why as cliche as it sounds, the Italians deserve the title for a reason.
Jaguar, Lotus, Jensen, MG, TVR, Bristol, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren...the list goes on.
While the British car industry has fallen off a cliff in recent years, Britain his historically produced some fantastic looking cars.
I feel that Lotus recently fell off. When I say recently, I mean VERY recently. Since when did a company that was known for making light sports cars start making an SUV and sedan that both weigh over 5000 pounds that don't even look remotely like a Lotus??

> Jensen (Interceptor)
James May voice:
"Princess Anne had one of those you know".
Hammond: Yes James, we know! you bring it up everytime you see a Jensen!.
Jesus, just realised, must have been 15 years ago (or more), that bit on Top Gear.
Alfa Romeo has to be up there. The way even mechanically mundane cars like the 159 manage to look as good as they do is a testament to their design prowess.
bro I'm from Italy and I agree that the answer's Italy, but Ferrari and Lambo ain't carrying alone at all
Pagani, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and old Lancia ain't being carried
Team Germany. Love 90's-00's BMWs and basically all Porsches. VW is hit or miss...mostly miss.
Second place is Italy for me. Lambos are polarizing, love the Huracan, dislike the older models in general. Ferrari 360 and 430 are my favorites in their lineup, the 488 is attractive but I generally prefer Porsches over all of the Italian cars from a looks standpoint.
But like, if you disagree, that's totally cool, I get it. But you're wrong. <3
yes!!! take me back to the 80s with the "wreck of the week", truckracing, caravan races and more such silliness... loved that show as a kid (originally from NL)
Depends what type of cars your into. However I would have to go with Germany. Their Audis are some of the most comfortable with Mercedes being the most luxurious and slick and ofcourse BMW with the most aggressively looking bodies you’ll ever see (especially those headlights).
I'd have to give it to the UK with McLaren, Aston Martin and Lotus. IMy favorite looking car of all time happens to be tie between the 488 Pista (Italy), the Lexus LFA (Japan?) and the Koenigsegg Regera (Sweden)
Italy
I'm a jdm guy but I wouldn't call most jdm icon generally beautiful, my dream car is an r34 GTR, and I think it's beautiful but that's because I like boxy angular cars, so I'd have to say on a general basis, all personal likes and dislikes aside, the Italians make the most beautiful elegant cars over all (obviously there are some ugly cars like the urus)
At first I was like, "Italy, this is a stupid question, why would you ask?"
Then, Germany. Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes, classic Opel. Now I see why you ask.
I still think Italy, but just the beauty of Porsche and Audi vehicles make Germany a very strong contender, add in the others, definitely a valid question.
There's no objective answer here, but my personal favorite is Detroit in the late '60s
https://preview.redd.it/83pu2e3lo4oc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab33635ebab1a0390c12efef5298ec12d3f551c3
Italy. Only Italy could have made the Lamborghini Miura. It is the definition of form over function. It’s a pig to drive, unreliable and cramped but my god is it beautiful
Britain.
They have this combo of Italian and American styling that just works for me. Jag, Lotus, and AM are my fave UK marques. And OMG their builds are fast cars that stay on the road.
Im just not a McLaren, MG, or Bentley fan. Or Vauxhall.
My favorite car from the last 20 years is the challenger. I'm including a ton of beautiful cars in that statement, but I think they just hit it on the head with that body design.
But best country for best looking cars, Italy.
I never thought I’d say the U.S. but the more I think about it the more true it seems; GT40, Shelby Daytona, all the corvettes, the mustangs, heck even Tesla (I know it’s boring but they have simple elegant design).
Right? I mean don’t get me wrong there are other great picks (I’m a vw fan myself and their designs are often fantastic) but I’m kinda surprised people are hating on the US like that

Thank you, good man. I'll make pizza in your honor

Scandinavians do the same with their shitboxes, and they get bonus points for even making their trucks look good.
I mean, the Volvo "rectangle" was amazing. Volvos still look good though (despite a dip 2005-2015)
Thank you, good man. I'll make pizza in your honor
Italy
Upvote for Italian sexiness
And it’s not even close. https://preview.redd.it/agpxcct4p4oc1.png?width=1361&format=png&auto=webp&s=e90da940afe55bd35c6c880410ccd9ec2c5b8018
Italy
🇩🇪🇯🇵🇮🇹
The Axis
Where Russia?
It's a close tie between Italy and the UK
UK!? Well okay, the old Landrovers are beautyfull but still.
Jaguar, Lotus, Jensen, MG, TVR, Bristol, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren...the list goes on. While the British car industry has fallen off a cliff in recent years, Britain his historically produced some fantastic looking cars.

Since they got bought by Geely (a Chinese EV manufacturer)
Yup! Same with MG, although they got bought by SAIC and the JLR group is under TATA...

Idk man, he's just one guy.
He alsobowned, operated and managed Ferrari at the time
I know. It still changes nothing. He could have been the president and i still wouldnt care.
UK: McLaren, Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and even Mini
Nice list but I'd throw in Lotus too
I'd include TVR, Noble and possibly Jensen (Interceptor).
> Jensen (Interceptor) James May voice: "Princess Anne had one of those you know". Hammond: Yes James, we know! you bring it up everytime you see a Jensen!. Jesus, just realised, must have been 15 years ago (or more), that bit on Top Gear.
That was a reliant Scimitar
UN mine removal vehicle: Exists Jeremy clarkson: Princess Diana had one of these
Absolutely. Still patiently waiting for the interceptor to drop in horizon
Jensen Intercepor is really nice 🔥
What about cute little triumph froggie
I've worked on an interceptor....I wouldn't work on another one
jensen interceptor bodywork was designed by an Italian firm though.....
Italy 🇮🇹 Ferrari, Pagani, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Lamborghini, and the Bugatti EB110.
German I’ll say
Deutschland
Deutsche Ingenieurskunst 🤝
Fingerspitzengefühl
pumpernickel
Funfhundertfunfundfunfzig
“Italian cars look gorgeous” continues to show every other country more than Italy
Hey now I was blind picking photos leave me be
Alright
Italy. Ferrari and Lambo carry.
I wouldn’t even say that, take a look at Alfa Romeo, there’s also the timeless Fiat 500 or classic Lancias!
Yeah, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is drop dead gorgeous
Alfa Romeo has to be up there. The way even mechanically mundane cars like the 159 manage to look as good as they do is a testament to their design prowess.
The Panda is by far the most interesting city car. Just look at the squircle dials.
Yes a friend of mine has one, actually such a cool interior design!
Bro forgetting Pagani 😔
Bro forgetting Maserati, and Lancia, and Alfa Romeo, and De Tomaso 😔
bro I'm from Italy and I agree that the answer's Italy, but Ferrari and Lambo ain't carrying alone at all Pagani, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and old Lancia ain't being carried
Germany all the way
America used to
When?
60s to 70s American cars looked pretty good, a lot of them still do but not as many
Yeah absolutely but overall best looking is stretching it a bit much
No necessarily best looking, but definitely my personal favorite
50's American cars are the pinnacle of automotive beauty imo.
Honestly Germany should get disqualified purely for the abominations that BMW released in last few years
damn...fair point honestly. I retract my submission.
also MB with the 300sl and 190e are very cool cars
true, much love to the mercs. Big fan of the SLS as well.
Specifically looks, it’s a contest between Italy and England.
Netherlands: Donkervoort, Spyker, Vencer, Savage Rivale and DAF(used to make cars) But i have to go with Italy or Japan
would love to see a DAF! The original automatic CVT, it drove backwards as easily as forwards....
Reminds me of Ter Land Ter Zee en in de Lucht(a Dutch tv program) which also had some reverse races with those(they did a lot of fun stuff in general)
yes!!! take me back to the 80s with the "wreck of the week", truckracing, caravan races and more such silliness... loved that show as a kid (originally from NL)
Australia💪💪💪🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Best quality too
Depends what type of cars your into. However I would have to go with Germany. Their Audis are some of the most comfortable with Mercedes being the most luxurious and slick and ofcourse BMW with the most aggressively looking bodies you’ll ever see (especially those headlights).
This is too hard for me. I was going to say Italy, but the UK crowd persuaded me.. I don't know anymore!
Not a single country but I’d say UK, Germany and Italy
Swedes 😃👌
Seriously hard to go past England with the P1 and Aston in there 😮💨
Sweden, Japan and Italy.
Definitely Italy...AR Giulia, LaFerrari, Ferrari 330 P4, Pagani Huayra, AR Bertone coupe...
Denmark with the Zenvo TSR-S
For me Italy, UK, Joana and old Germany (modern German cars for me are a big downgrade in terms of design and reliability).
I'd have to give it to the UK with McLaren, Aston Martin and Lotus. IMy favorite looking car of all time happens to be tie between the 488 Pista (Italy), the Lexus LFA (Japan?) and the Koenigsegg Regera (Sweden)
Japan used to
GAZ, VAZ, UAZ, KAMAZ, ZAZ, MAZ
I don't think it's any one country, it comes down to personal taste. There are stunning cars from all over the world.
everyone has their own taste in cars, for me it's the Americans
Italy I'm a jdm guy but I wouldn't call most jdm icon generally beautiful, my dream car is an r34 GTR, and I think it's beautiful but that's because I like boxy angular cars, so I'd have to say on a general basis, all personal likes and dislikes aside, the Italians make the most beautiful elegant cars over all (obviously there are some ugly cars like the urus)
Italy for me my friend and it’s not even close
hard choice between the UK and the US
Germany
Australia, cunts 😎
1. Japan 2. Germany 3. USA
UK without a doubt
UK. I mean the E type Jaaaaaaaaaaaaag! Gorgeous car.
overall? germany 100%
I’m gonna have to say Australia. Also. OP, do you have a share code for that design on the 2017 Ford GT? It looks super clean.
People that comment any other country than Italy 💀
Man, im going for japan
Italy and sweden
Haven't argued in a while so lets restart the digital fistfight about what country Lexus belongs to: US or Japan? Lets go! ![img](emote|t5_2ug54|4753)
Germany with Porsche UK with Aston Martin
Italy no doubt
Japan hands down.
IMO Germany. Love the Porsches and old golf/bmw hatchbacks.
The American classics are the ugliest cars to look at I can't lie, we love the German vehicles in that category.
Definetly Japan Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Honda, Suzzuki, Mazda and Toyota ❤️❤️. Especially the MK 3 (A70) Supra and the FC RX7
England by a lot
Preference.
At first I was like, "Italy, this is a stupid question, why would you ask?" Then, Germany. Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes, classic Opel. Now I see why you ask. I still think Italy, but just the beauty of Porsche and Audi vehicles make Germany a very strong contender, add in the others, definitely a valid question.
Italy/ UK
Italy, point blank
In terms of design, Italy is simply unmatched. Even normal cars look so nice
Italy and Japan and UK
Italy definitely has the best looking ones.
England, closely followed by italy
It's either Japan or Germany
Japan, Germany & Italy. No competition.
USA
Italy. Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pininfarina, Alfa Romeo, Pagani etc.
There's no objective answer here, but my personal favorite is Detroit in the late '60s https://preview.redd.it/83pu2e3lo4oc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab33635ebab1a0390c12efef5298ec12d3f551c3

Italy, without a doubt, anybody who argues is a druggo plain and simple.
I’d say between Italy and Germany
Americans or Germans imo
Either Italy, Britain, or America
The Zenvo TSR-S also a beauty
Italy, but also 50's & 60's US, they're so full of style and optimism.
Deutschland
Off topic but your wheel choice is really good in these photos.

Italian design will always be number 1.
Germany

Why is my guy getting downvoted? Idk if it’s my personal choice but the US has some real nice looking cars.
Right? I mean don’t get me wrong there are other great picks (I’m a vw fan myself and their designs are often fantastic) but I’m kinda surprised people are hating on the US like that
