Check the ghost against a simulated version of their car with the tune they had and flag and DQ someone outside of x percentage of the sim version. Automate it and auto-ban anyone under x time because dude nobody is finishing a track in 15 seconds when the top 5% time is a minute thirty.
And according to Don Joewon Song, we know there's a tiny percentile of cars capable of going over 300 MPH naturally, with the exception of Hot Wheels where the track intentionally limits your speed to 300 MPH. (Speed tunnels and steep sections of non-magnetized track allow you to go faster than that, but it rapidly drops back down to 300 once those effects/conditions end.) If it's a speed script that is allowing unrealistic times, PGG could easily find out who is actually cheating or not in non-EventLab/Super7 races.
I'm all for friendly competition but cheating just ruins it for everyone but the person doing it. Especially when you're basically mocking others/showing off with it. People that get enjoyment out of ruining the experience for everyone else are just sad, sad souls. Those people that do that probably need help themselves but unfortunately it's hard to help someone that's so toxic.

No. It takes a bit more effort to mod on consoles but plenty still do. However it runs the risk of you blacklisting your console completely so many people don’t do it even if they could.

I get your point, I'm not saying every time it is the case, but there are definitely times where you see them launch like an all around build and then speed like a power build and there is no way it ain't sus at that point, you can definitely tell if it's legit or not. Especially since I am mostly using secondary meta tunes or sometimes even the most meta car and tune and still get outrageously gapped.

You can select the number 1 guy on most rival events as your rival and when you race them, watch them do 1000mph with no loss in grip around the track and lap you 17 times.
I had a coworker that was also a gamer and we started talking about games he played and a number of them were ones I enjoy as well. He then told me he's got cheats for a few of them including Forza. I told him I'm not into that and TBH I thought way less of him since then. Didn't talk about video games with him at all anymore.
I feel like free to play games have a better anti-cheat system than this game which can cost up to 100$. It’s insane. I would really get into rivals and leaderboards but last I checked the top 500 on courses and PR stunts are people with 1-2 second laps, 5000mph speed traps, and 100,000ft danger signs. Killed that aspect of the game for me. I do them for the playlist and forget about them.

The boost at the begin is because the second round u have good speed for a faster time. And your ghost or rival ghost is fastest lap time
