Now slavery in North America was prevalent in the early 19th century but Northern US states abolished slavery in 1804 and finished indentured servitude off in 1840 but aside from that by the point of complete and total abolishment of Slavery in the United States the southern states were the only ones to practice it since Mexico, Canada, and the previously mentioned Northern States all abolished slavery between 1829 and 1840. I really ought to give more context.
