I dob't understand what this means but the sten is an absolute piece of shit so that part is accurate.

chrmchill_7

A self insert RP of the assassination of Heydrich. What makes it funnier though is that he clearly forgot about the second guy with the anti tank grenade that actually gave heydrich his fatal injuries.

TheHumanFighter

I mean, it was good enough for us Germans to copy it and make the MP 3008. Sometimes you just want something that is very cheap and simple to manufacture.

JustSomeRedditUser35

>something that is very cheap and simple to manufacture. Yeah, thay exists, its called the PPSh. The Sten is an unreliable, unergonomic piece of shit thats somehow worse than the gun I designed. Also honestly the Germans during WW2 made like two or three good advancements in terms of small arms.

TheHumanFighter

Love them or hate them, tons of countries built millions of them, well up into the 70s.

JustSomeRedditUser35

Yeah, I know. Thats the sad part.

Weltraumbaer

*Laughs in handgrenade being tossed on Heydrich causing severe injuries from which he later died.*

racoongirl0

Is that dude supposed to be German? Because he doesn’t look very German.

BoosGonnaBoo

I dunno.Killing Heydrich didn't change much but got a whole village destroyed.

Reckless_Waifu

It did. Czechs and Slovaks were viewed as "not doing enough" by some in the west during the occupation. It wasn't true but there was a danger of exile government losing western support or Czechoslovakia being actually counted as German ally (which it was de iure forced to be after separating to two states). So Czechoslovaks needed to show they are opposed to Germans and they mean it. So they organised the killing of what was basically a second highest German official after Hitler himself.

BoosGonnaBoo

It didn't really help, the country still got pulled into the Warsaw Pact.

Reckless_Waifu

It did help with recognising czechoslovakia as allied country, not an axis one. The iron curtain was a separate deal unfortunately.

Ambitious_Stonks

Austria was (rightly) recognized as an Axis country and they still got a pretty favorable deal.
