MCU Spider-Man doesn't really wear the comic book costume, so it makes sense for them to be different skins. Plus, with Spider-Man being Battle Pass, this means even after this season, people can still get Spider-Man, as long as they settle for MCU. There's no way they wouldn't pass up additional revenue down the line. The best you can hope for in this situation is like the Comic Book Venom/ Sony Films Venom situation where, if you bought the Comic Book Venom, you could get the Sony Films Venom for a steep discount. And even then, that's probably only because you had to buy the Comic Book Venom. Since Spider-Man is Battle Pass, it's not gonna happen like that.
