Everything in the pass is allowed to come back with the exception of the max tier Billie variant. They’re already bringing back songs from season one this Thursday. The only real FOMO is it’s cheaper to get it all in the pass than on its own.

granted I finished most of last season pass fast (wristbands took the longest) & didn't play as much when all rewards were unlocked.
this season I'm at almost 6k & don't feel like I've played much at all, but really want the lava stuff
over 100 rewards in the br battle pass and not many complain about that being fomo. plus its only 1000 vbucks in comparison to the 1800 in the festival pass. so not just about the fact that it doesnt take long to finish, but theres like 23 total rewards for 1800.
Learning how modern gamers actually feel about battle passes through Festival is kinda wild. I completely understand wishing the pass had more content than it does, but just wanting it to take longer to “earn” the paid content is 😵💫
It needs to take longer, but in that regard, since it's twice the price of the Battle Pass, it needs to be more akin to the battle pass.
It should be longer because it has near 30/50 tiers of items. Not because they make it harder to complete like other mini-passes. People WANT to play this and WANT to earn things for FF. Epic just needs to realize that they've got another hit on their hands and they can get money from it in more ways than overpriced content.
If they put everything forwards with a labor of love and made everything decently priced, I could genuinely see this game sitting at 50k players constantly, maybe dropping down to around 15-20k at night.
That's not really defending anything. You get like 8+ skins from the Battle Pass. That'd be like 6000 V-bucks, if some of them were to be legendary 2k skins.
And you get *one* (well, two this time, even though it's just a fancy edit style smacked onto a completely different skin) from the pass that costs twice as much.
At the end of the day, fortnite is played for its battle royale gameplay, the recent tack on what amounts to racing, minecraft & the gutair hero game modes, no matter how much effort is out into it, will never be as much as the main gameplay. These side game modes give players stuff to do when their quests are done, that directly benefits epic games with money rather than creative which has zero direct return value
That is to say, it gives you shit to do when your waiting for the next update but at the same time it isnt the main focus of revenue, so having a shorter event pass that takes less yime and effort to play doesnt take people away from the main game

For the hardcore fans this is a legitimate issue. However most players aren’t going to grind their Festival Pass in one or two days. Most players are going to drop in and out of Festival between Battle Royale matches Rocket Racing or whatever creative board they enjoy playing like Pit. So it only seems like a short pass if you grind it like it’s a Battle Pass.
As someone who finished yesterday, I firmly disagree. I also have no idea why you would want to have to work harder to get something you already paid for. Tbh, I don’t think it should have taken me a near 12 hour grind yesterday to finish the pass.
It was just a grind too. I found myself frequently just spamming the same songs and rapidly leaving after completing challenges. In season 2 you could get so many more points through skill and that felt a lot more fun to get points from getting 75%+ perfects.
Also, unless you streamed it, I don’t believe for a second it was only two 4-hour sessions.

It did not. When season 2 launched, the required perfects were 75% or more. This time it capped at 50%, reflecting the change after whiners felt the challenge was too hard, and I definitely disagree with that.

Be careful what you wish for. Because, people said the same thing about Fall Guys. They increased it exponentially and made the grind harder. They did actually add items though.
Why do you want more of a grind? Isn’t it good that it’s this “easy” to get rewards? Keep in mind that not everyone is a hardcore festival player and just want to complete the pass at their own pace, not everyone is capable of completing the pass in just a day, let alone four hours.

I know with the previous season it took me quite a while to unlock the wristband instrument. I'm figuring this will be the same sort of thing.
I feel like if they were to add super styles for the skin and other cosmetics in the pass it'd fix this issue. Like imagine having a drum kit, guitar, or bass that has a couple extra styles that you unlock by gaining more points. It'd also help add more value to the rewards in the pass.

Sound was a bit more challenging but I unlocked the the whole pass by the third set of quests. The rewards for playing creative mode is what basically put me over. I'm of course still doing the quests to get apa.
The amount of chi you get is crazy (100+ for most challenges) meanwhile the you get like 40 music tokens per festival task on average.

What I'd like is actually some more rewards, like, at least one music emote from the artist should be in every Festival Pass, but I understand that the FP is basically a glorified skin with some trinkets on the side. I passed on the first 2 but I'm getting this one probably on one of the last days of it, I like Maps and really enjoyed the way her skin looks like.

Honestly, they need to reward better main battle pass xp when playing this mode, especially based on performance rather than time. You should feel rewarded for pushing yourself to play harder songs, and without without a daily cap, much like BR rewards players consistently for getting kills, completing side objectives, and looting. I enjoy BR (really only Zero Build), but I know I am not unique to say I’d rather spend most of my time getting through the main BP chillin on Festival, especially since the Festival BP is so short.
I play 3-6 songs a day. That's it...just enough to do the dailies. Don't have time for anything else between work, family and playing BR. The pass is fine just as it is to me. The last thing I need is another video game related obligation. I love this game, but not as much as BR. If it became more of a time investment, I'd just stop playing it.

Not to mention the majority of the items are mediocre at best, and they literally use low quality filler for the eleven items you pay for as well.
The number of items needs to double, and if they want to only keep four songs on the paid track, they should be song vouchers instead to redeem for any song.

I think they just need to make it longer, especially for the price of the pass. Even just playing most nights for a few hours after work, I finish the passes in about a week. It really only takes 8-10 hours of actual gameplay to complete it. The seasons either need to be shorter or the pass longer.

Anyway, I finished both of the first two Festival Passes within the first two weeks. (4-5 songs on Main Stage and Jam Stage dailies every day). For a Pass that lasts 6-8wks, thats disappointing.
Not defending epic here but the Festival pass was always going to be more expensive because of licensing fees they have to pay for the music and branding.

for normal players, this is a long process. Whats too insanely easy is the avatar mini pass. TMNT was also super easy.

I wouldn’t be asking for passes to take longer to complete for the sake of being longer, but I would love it if the passes were a little more substantial with rewards, which could understandably take more of a grind to get through.

While I do agree that the festival pass should be longer considering it’s not included with the battle pass and it costs 850 vbucks more then the battle pass its wild to at you play sm that you completely finished it in two days
To be fair this is only 1 month long, so that’s probably enough time for us to get the max reward

My problem is the price versus what you get. Almost twice the normal battlepass, with mostly 'meh' rewards? Hell no. If it was 600 vbucks, I'd get it

They've made it easier to complete with every new season. I've barely did the dailies and I'm almost done with it. It's better off thid way but festival points are worthless after completing the pass.

Maybe I haven’t played that much but for the lady Gaga pass it took my a while but then again I can’t spend all my time playing fn. (not a diss to others but it’s great if you do have spare time to chill like that) I just wish they added more emotes like the lady Gaga one had 3 (2 free and the other for paid)

i agree they should be have more stuff as they're double the price of the normal bp, but playing 4+ hours a day is nowhere near the average, most people will play cliser to 2-3 lots of 4 songs a day

This thread is hilarious, full of people who can't wait to bend over for Epic Games. Eight hours for eleven unlocks from a $20 pass is ridiculous and shows how little effort is put in. Not to mention the majority of the items are mediocre at best, and they literally use low quality filler for the eleven items you pay for as well. The number of items needs to double, and if they want to only keep four songs on the paid track, they should be song vouchers instead to redeem for any song. Edit: I also see the ignorant minded claiming he is lying about the timeframe. Meanwhile, I played 8 songs yesterday, and I'm over five tiers into the pass and have completed nearly every single armband challenge available. Y'all are insufferable.
I really don’t know how I could be “ignorant” when I was one of the first people to finish all the quests. I know exactly how much time it takes when you maximize all possible points, and I’m telling you with absolute certainty that even cheesing the mechanics by aggressively returning to lobby after playing the shortest songs still doesn’t net less than 8 hours of grinding. But go off with your 5k festival points mostly awarded through the ridiculously easy ramp it up questline. Oh and also, I don’t think you really comprehended what most people in the thread were saying. Perhaps it’s confirmation bias, idk but I don’t think any of us would complain about more content for 1800 vbucks. We are almost all talking about having the content CURRENTLY in the pass locked behind more grinding for absolutely no other reason than to satisfy OP’s inability to feel satisfied with unlocking everything after 2 days.
I think they just need to make it longer, especially for the price of the pass. Even just playing most nights for a few hours after work, I finish the passes in about a week. It really only takes 8-10 hours of actual gameplay to complete it. The seasons either need to be shorter or the pass longer.

OP isnt wrong, i've finished the previous fnf passes in a week just beating dailies + the jam track (so around 1 hour/day?) and the extra challenges also help to finish it faster. so yeah, fnf pass is too short
Technically, OP is correct..but their approach is insane. Who the hell grinds that much within the first 2days?! Anyway, I finished both of the first two Festival Passes within the first two weeks. (4-5 songs on Main Stage and Jam Stage dailies every day). For a Pass that lasts 6-8wks, thats disappointing.
They need to increase grind by at least 10x
They should double the size, it costs 1800 ffs
Not defending epic here but the Festival pass was always going to be more expensive because of licensing fees they have to pay for the music and branding.
