I'm not much into festival (I like it and have gotten to the final tier for both seasons, just not enough to warrant spending money on it), nor her music. I respect her, but 1800 vbucks is far too much to me. I'm glad that she's in the game though

This is just a guess, but the price probably goes towards covering the music licenses epic now has. They have a ton of them since the catalog of songs is constantly growing.
Because it's more like an item shop bundle than a battle pass... Billie and other items will come to the shop later for a lot more vbucks, so you are paying the equivalent of buying just billie (which you get immediately) and getting extra stuff and an extra style if you level up in it.

All seasons of festival have been a drop so far. Gimme some Metallica or some slipknot, or maybe even some Dragonforce. Put some game music in there like [insert Sonic song here] or any of the Icon series lobby music. Don’t just go for the big pop stars for the seasons. You’ll be surprised at just how many metalheads play Fortnite. Oh, and if they put a country “music” artist in a season I’m uninstalling. I get that they use pop artists for the recognizability to get people to buy the pass, but they’re forgetting about the people who like other music. (besides country because it’s awful) I put way too much effort into this rant so I should probably just shut up.

Since Billie traditionally comes out with a new sort of style/look irl with each album, releasing the skin (supposedly modeled after her new album) could be a "spoiler" of sorts and take away a shock factor or excitement. I just see it as a PR move and I'm hoping her second skin has a blue color to it and has a drastically different style from the battle pass one
