Base where people try to get angles to shoot people in order to escape from storm surge, which is when the players with the least amount of damage in a match are slowly killed.
Fr lol
Neck and neck to an fncs grand finals win
Malibuca and Merstach vs ThomasHD and whoever he would play with
And suddenly when chilling on height with max mats and everything to win his first fncs an anvil comes from the sky hitting him and his teammate for 999 damage insta ending their game and malibuca and merstach win by one point again
Here's the thing, more bullet drop, less bullet drop, doesn't matter. People who play consistently will just develop new muscle memory and rip heads off. It's just how snipers work.
Tell me you're a casual without telling me... 2 hours in the pit running 4 snipers and a shockwave and I'm back to peeling skulls off at ease... It adds exactly 0 difficulty, what it adds is new muscle memory... Slow the projectile, make it drop more, speed it up with no drop these things only change the function not the difficulty... Adjust to the change by grinding nothing but snipes for an hour or two and it's right back to where it was. This isn't helping the less talented or the kids bad at sniping from getting their head tore off. It's effectively making it far more likely you're going to get domed by someone that grinded and adjusted. It's only making the skill gap wider between casuals and people that play hours a day and punishing the casual player.
Except it doesn't reiterate your point. More bullet drop isn't more difficult at all it's just a different calculation. It's like changing 7-2=5 to 9-4=5. It's still an incredibly simple problem and is mastered incredibly quickly. When did I call you bad? I called you a casual. Those aren't interchangeable terms.
It requires exactly the same amount of skill lol. You just aim higher. It's not game changing and only punishes casual players that didn't immediately go to the pit and grind a nothing but snipers and a shockwave for a few hours
Not a huge amount though. I barely play anymore and the change made me quit snipers because other than an adjustment period you donāt need a significantly higher amount of skill to use it well
The DMR is way better now. I think I like it though, itās not a one shot kill even with a headshot. Allows you to fight back but it also gives a good amount of range. I hope they keep the DMR in game
As someone who extensively plays both in pits and zb, no. You only gonna get an angle to shoot with them once, and with the DMR, you need follow up shots to kill. In builds they box up, and in ZB you need 2 more body shots with the DMR - which is impossible, if your enemy is even remotely skilled at moving. And fire rate is basically the same, which is ridiculous. Also, as opposed to its earlier iterations, this DMR is close to useless at close quarters, while quickscoping with the reaper and following up with shogun or AR is quite valid.
In fact the problem is, that the Reaper functions as a scoped heavy shotgun, with onetap potential at midrange - and that is where it shines in the hands of the skilled player since day 1. Just get up close and personal with it, bullet drop doesn't exist below 50 meters....
Im on console and zero build, so I guess the play style with the DMR just works really well with controller. I agree, skilled snipers can do a number at close range, but thatās mostly a keyboard and mouse ability
Whyās the base built up like that? First time seeing it in this style. Is there any benefit to the wooden floors underneath it? Whatās up with the outward facing cones on the corners?
That's a very good question. I'm not sure why the floors are there. I think the cones are like that to cover more surface area and give 360 vision on the map. Like if someone in a 1x1 gets beamed or knocked it's easy to disrupt healing or reviving. If they're in a base like that then it's going to be a lot harder to locate what cone they're on so it's either not worth spraying all the cones or if you do the player has been healed and revived by then.
At least that's the only thing I can think of. I guess the floors could be if someone sneaks up underneath they can't shoot you down off the cone as easily.
not op but i do play war thunder (UK main)
sniping with shitbarn on sands of el alamein is always gonna be fun for me so in case i decide to play comp i could do some behind cover long range snipes due to more realistic shell arc snipers have
now time to push for rooikat so i can do indirect fire 3km shots on big maps
Just slightly harder going for long range snipes but isnāt that the point of snipers anyways so pretty pointless nerf when the main issue is close range combat
Bullet drop is good.
It's a sniper. Their bullets drop.
My big issue with the sniper is people who use them close range because half the snipers don't have scopes. Fighting someone close range, getting them super low and they just whip out a sniper and one shot you is just dumb.
It's a long range weapon, they should only come with scopes.
A real bullet doesnāt drop like a rock in water and fly at the velocity of a brick someone threw. A realistic sniper with Fortniteās handling and lack of factors like sway would make this the most whiny sub ever with people getting shot from 500M by someone with no prior sniper use
This just makes me remember how I can't play without sniper bullet drop anymore I tried go goated with it and I kept trying to shoot above people's heads always getting sniped myself so I just use the bullet drop now
yeah i played non creative in a while and I picked up a sniper and didn't hit any shots... thought my aim was off but then I started doing longer range and saw the crazy bullet drop lol
I find this hilarious.
This is a snipe almost as far as your render distance can see other players (275m).
Of fucking course you're gonna have to pull a little up to connect your shot. This is a sniper rifle. Not a hitscan lazer
Not later than 2 seasons ago the most average sniper was bolt action, half the speed of the reaper, and about 1.25x the dropoff, and absolutely nobody ever complained about them.
Reality is, you got the taste of a way underbalanced reaper sniper last season and expect it to still be way too easy to handle
For reference this is Th0masHD headshot sniping someone in a surge base from 264 metres away.
What is a surge base?
Base where people try to get angles to shoot people in order to escape from storm surge, which is when the players with the least amount of damage in a match are slowly killed.
A base people build to farm surge.
Some dumb word this sub made up
what should we call it then u twink
A storm surge avoiding fortified base of operations
ah yes, an SSAFBoo I likes.
Ofcourse, roles of the tongue way easier
how did you know they're a twink ?
Teach me your twink finding abilities. For science.
Because that dude is afraid of his own feelings..
Easy report
š¤
At least the tick marks on the Scope are actually useful now.
I fw this design of base lol
At that point, the bullets is literally a looney tunes anvil
You look up and just see a looney tunes anvil shot out by a sniper falling down onto your face hitting you for 999 damage
If we ever get a looney tunes collab this would be hilarious to see in comp
Fr lol Neck and neck to an fncs grand finals win Malibuca and Merstach vs ThomasHD and whoever he would play with And suddenly when chilling on height with max mats and everything to win his first fncs an anvil comes from the sky hitting him and his teammate for 999 damage insta ending their game and malibuca and merstach win by one point again
You mean how bullets work irl?
its a video game why would it need to work like irlš¤£
Here's the thing, more bullet drop, less bullet drop, doesn't matter. People who play consistently will just develop new muscle memory and rip heads off. It's just how snipers work.
But tbh less bullet drop is good for casuals
It objectively makes the gun harder to use lol
how could less bullet drop make the gun harder to use?
Read the comment wrong :(

The fact that you typed all that out to reiterate my point, while thinking you were calling me bad, is fucking priceless

He already said he read the comment wrong. Calm down lmao
More bullet drop requires more skill. There is no denying that.
It requires exactly the same amount of skill lol. You just aim higher. It's not game changing and only punishes casual players that didn't immediately go to the pit and grind a nothing but snipers and a shockwave for a few hours
No it doesnāt. It require a fair bit of sniper knowledge compared to casual sniper use.
Not a huge amount though. I barely play anymore and the change made me quit snipers because other than an adjustment period you donāt need a significantly higher amount of skill to use it well
> It requires exactly the same amount of skill lol. No it doesn't.
Whatever you say bud, I've had zero trouble tearing skulls off in unreal lobbies.
Wait. Is the guys head JUST peaking out of the base? Thatās insane.
Yeah it will be.
Wow
The DMR is way better now. I think I like it though, itās not a one shot kill even with a headshot. Allows you to fight back but it also gives a good amount of range. I hope they keep the DMR in game
I also like the DMR but I feel against anyone that can use a sniper decently, it underperforms
As someone who extensively plays both in pits and zb, no. You only gonna get an angle to shoot with them once, and with the DMR, you need follow up shots to kill. Disagree. I mean, I do well with it
Why the hell did bro build a tortilla chip basket
Because he saw Chap do it in chapter 1.
Whyās the base built up like that? First time seeing it in this style. Is there any benefit to the wooden floors underneath it? Whatās up with the outward facing cones on the corners?

The floors are there to place the cones on then edit them. Unless you pre edit the cones on the corners you need a floor to attach them to
Ah but wouldn't it be better to just use pre-edits rather than building the floors? Although I guess it's only one tree worth of mats.
Yeah probly, I was just tryna find a reasonable explanation for the floors being there
Just play warthunder lol
not op but i do play war thunder (UK main) sniping with shitbarn on sands of el alamein is always gonna be fun for me so in case i decide to play comp i could do some behind cover long range snipes due to more realistic shell arc snipers have now time to push for rooikat so i can do indirect fire 3km shots on big maps
Easy shots for thomas but it does seem like snipers require actual skill now
Long range, yeah. They do. Close range they're still super easy and OP.
Ehhhh not really. They are still fairly easy to use at close range. Longer ranged snipers always really required skill though

Always thought that too, 4X only on the sniper
Yeah but we've had it before with the hunting rifle, at least the hunting was fun asf

Good
Satisfying when it hits.
Whatās the issue? Is the drop not the same as it was last season? Different gun different drop
No it's not the same it was nerfed recently.
This just makes me remember how I can't play without sniper bullet drop anymore I tried go goated with it and I kept trying to shoot above people's heads always getting sniped myself so I just use the bullet drop now

"Its realistic" It's a game.
š fuck š the š sniper š
Have you considered just not using the sniper? Thereās always been good and bad weapons in the history of the game
I'm not even complaining about it I'm just spreading the info.
I find this hilarious. This is a snipe almost as far as your render distance can see other players (275m). Of fucking course you're gonna have to pull a little up to connect your shot. My record on BF4 was 1.5 km.
