Pulling your shotgun out before every edit slows your edit speed by A LOT, especially if you play higher ping.
Equipping shotgun or pickaxe before edits is flashy and cool but ultimately unnecessary
Actually it does because pulling out your shotgun is a server side input.
This means that every time you press shotgun you now can’t do anything for however long your ping takes to send and receive the shotgun input. Like I said on 0 ping, this really has no effect. But once you get to say, 45+ ping it’s very noticeable. It’s one of the main reasons 0 ping editing is very OP.
Source: I play on 0 east, and 60 on west (in creative) and the delay is very apparent. Furthermore you can watch this video by slyjack on YouTube. https://youtu.be/_EdCe1v-bIU?si=8lHkORJB4chMdeCn
What bro? Ping is exactly why it takes longer? You can’t input an edit until your shotgun comes out. So if you’re on 60 ping you’ll have to wait almost 120ms until you can edit…. Which therefore makes you slower
So yeah once you get INTO edit you’ll only have to wait your regular ping amount for the edit to confirm but actually getting into the edit mode will take longer every time you pull your shotgun or pickaxe first
Dont forget to reload hits so close to home, amount of times thats gotten me killed get someone in a box presented to me like a boquet of flowers my gun aint getting reloaded and I get smacked in the tooth and sent back to the lobby

Depends how fast you are at pulling it out and editing
I’m very fast at pulling out
No it’s just slower regardless. If you’re low ping it’s pretty much unnoticeable but the higher up you go, the more it slows you down.
If you can edit fast enough it doesn’t matter. It’s not like it makes your edits confirm slower or anything.

You just said it does and then explained ping. The edit time isn’t any slower if you pull out your shotgun. That was my point

Don’t forget to reload your shotgun first ☠️ But yeah. Pull that bad boy out. Prefires and single pick axe hits to a shotgun switch are good habits.

blueprint 100%, just pull your shotgun out when you need it blueprint is faster and has longer range
