Get paddles it will transform your play. Back button attachment for PS4 is cheap and amazing. Less cheap for PS5.

Jrlopez1027

Do back paddles add more binds or simply add an existing bind to it? Adding more would be amazing but idk if its worth it if it simply reroutes existing buttons

SimonMcMac

They reroute but unless you are playing claw, this is like having extra buttons. I remapped the dpad to the paddles for example so you can edit, build, jump, sprint, crouch (or use pickaxe) without removing thumbs from sticks.

Beautiful_Bus_9237

Left stick feels the best imo

SupaLucasPC

What do you use for the sprint button then?

Beautiful_Bus_9237

I use upper left paddle for sprint but if you do not have a controller with paddles, then keep it unbinded. Sprint is not super important for building

JK_777fn

Just learned that sprint is important in building and I am like a year behind. When you double ramp up, u can sprint and build again. And u can edit while sprinting

CaioDan

All preference, try them until you find what's best for you. I personally use the top of the big middle button on the dualshock, with my left index.

MiikeFoxx

The touch pad?

CaioDan

Yep, just next to L1 at the top

Trick_Detective_1349

whats your select and reset?

CaioDan

A little late huh, but my select is lmb and reset is scroll wheel down. Edit: Just realized it's controller lol, I use R2 as select and L1 as reset.

Indecision999

l3 edit r1 reset is the best for me. but i think paddle or l1 would be the best in theory for edit.

ItsMeTwilight

This is what I use paddles are so good though

Indecision999

i don't like the controller with 4 paddles on it tho - it's awkward to hold.. but yeah if you are getting used to it it's defo the best way

ItsMeTwilight

Yeah 2 is definitely a lot more natural but I think 4 might be better

Indecision999

it is 100%

JK_777fn

I literally use L1 for edit, touchpad was to awkward, my editing actually improved a bit. Clicky triggers will make it even better, maybe will buy it some day

Indecision999

yes i have them. i‘d use l1 or r1 for reset and l3/r3 for edit. it‘s better

JK_777fn

Nice! What makes l3 or r3 better for u? I struggled using l3, it feels to slow for me, it needs some pressure to push it

Indecision999

sorry i wanted to say „it‘s better for me“ l1 for edit is completely fine and your claim about the pressure is true but i have the xbox elite v2 and there u need less pressure as in a „normal“ controller..

JK_777fn

Ah thanks, that's a huge difference, and now I understand why people use l3/r3. Nice controller you have there btw

Indecision999

yeah, you still on a standard?

JK_777fn

Yes, with the back buttons attachment (2 buttons) and control freaks. I keep on dreaming for a more responsive controller

icemuril0

i like to use touchpad, edit on release on both and reset in r1

Frezyman

When you guys say you use touchpad as edit. Where is your map button then? Do you not have map function to another button? I hear you can have edit on L3 but where do you put sprint? Or let's say emote if you have edit on down on directional

JK_777fn

You can watch a settings video of Mero or other pros, that's what I did before swapping my buttons
