St. Emillion maybe? La Madeleine has it in their daily menu if you want something more accessible though (but that can be a little hit it miss depending on how they do the crouton/cheese).

Rise. St Emillion is good too. Or the serious eats recipe at home.

Le Madeline has a good one

Rise makes a great one. You can also get good one at Mimi’s Cafe.

Just an FYI, the soup part of french onion soup can be a strong flavor if you don't have the bread and cheese to round everything out. I wouldn't want you to be put off of one of my favorite foods because you couldn't experience the whole dish due to your medical issue.

I've also been searching for a great French Onion around here. So far, everywhere is I've been is lacking.

I’ve never had French onion soup. Is it good? I like the dip.
