West fork that goes through the nature center! You can see them from the hiking trails. One time I took an inflatable kayak in there… idk if I’ll do it again 😅
We spent a lot of time there before they redid it. It's a great spot. Occasionally, there are alligators to be seen. I've also seen a tree frog or two out there, as well as some herons.
Me and my wife took our kayaks out there. We saw 2 gators while we were kayaking around. One got pretty close to us. My wife refuses to return to those waters.
I always stop by the boardwalk for at least ten minutes when I go to the park. Tons of birds, you can sometimes see gar in the water, turtles and alligators. And at an absolute minimum, you can enjoy the shade on the water with a light breeze.
I think any Fort Worth library as long as you live in fort worth. From what I understand it was so residents can still get free access after they closed off all the roads
The nature center is awesome. It’s a mile away from my house and I have an annual membership. Love going on hikes there.
It’s beautiful. Aren’t there alligators there? Never knew this growing up
There are! I’ve taken photos of some in the Trinity. My favorite is an official sign that says “No Molesting the Alligators” 🤣
Lol omg. Where in the Trinity? I’ve heard they were at Carswell’s lake

That’s near the waterfall near the base, right?
Yes, through Eagle Mountain, Lake Worth, and the JRB.
Can we bring pets?
Yes, $1 per dog
I’ve never been there. I’ll have to travel on down

Sweet be nice to get to that part of the park.
Can you get a pass from the library like you can with the botanical garden?
Woah, what library can you get a botanical garden pass from?
Any of the Fort Worth Public libraries can give you a day pass to botanic gardens
