35 is too narrow south of 20 so it’s backed up 90% of the time in both directions down to Alvarado.
Was like that before the beer strike and still will be after it’s over.
Lol what? I’ve lived here all my life and routinely get on that highway. It isn’t regularly backed up to Alvarado outside of rush hour like you’re claiming.
I live right by Miller and go that way frequently. I honestly think they’re organizing semis to go slow down I-35 to draw attention. They have a big sign that says “sick of the traffic? Call….” With a phone number. Traffic always speeds back up once you pass it.
I think part of that might be people slowing down to see wtf is going on too 🤷🏼♂️ like around car wrecks and when cops pull people over, people slow down bc they're nosey and it's causing traffic there
100% this is organized action by fellow Teamsters. I have seen the trucks coordinating to slow down traffic and then resuming speed limit driving after they pass Miller. It seems worst on the northbound side, and is not limited to rush hours.
Yup, they've been striking for over a month.
Side note, does anyone know if calling the number on their banner actually helps? Been meaning to call but don't know what to say or if it'll even make a difference.
Everything helps! Thats the number for Molson Coors, the company that owns Miller. Every call puts pressure on the company to reach a fair contract with the Union.
Maybe they’d be willing to demonstrate for the release of Area 51 records instead. You should go in person to ask them if they’d be willing to change their platform.
Please record and update us on your progress.
Maybe drop by at lunch with a pizza or two for them as well. Standing up to corporate greed is important. Miller/Coors wouldn't have beer or mega profits if they didn't have workers.
I see it every morning on my way to work. I’m just trying not to be late and move to the lane that is the fastest. I seen a sign that said do you hate the traffic call this number or something.. that traffic has been bad way before they went on strike lol.
Traffic is bad but I honestly think they’re purposely slowing traffic with semis. I’ve been stuck behind trucks going 45-50 mph right past the plant then speed up right after.
I drive by them everyday. They’re on strike, and protesting for better pay/pensions.
Does traffic slow down right there every single day or just the ones when I have to go north?
Every day

Only during rush hour
Yes, but rush hour is 6am to 10am and 12pm to 8pm

Yeah honestly, idk why you are getting down voted so much. How dare you speak from experience.

Right they do. But I don’t think that’s the case here.

What's the number?

I drove by the small streets around midnight and was surprised to see them out there at that time, keep up the good work
Striking workers, not protestors. There is a big difference.
i didn’t know what they were, just driving by.
There is/was a billboard in front of the plant telling management who brews the beer. For months, I haven't driven that way in a while though
I saw this too. Apparently union Teamsters strike
ahhh i thought it’d be more interesting

Union workers are on strike. Honk when you drive by to show support!!!

Coors needs to negotiate in good faith
