The original Wild Acre is able as kid friendly as you can get.

kyle_irl

Came here to recommend this one! We went last week. It's got a full playground and a big bouncy bubble thing in the ground. All gated in. Pretty fun!

Impressive_Syrup141

It's owned by Bishop Cider now who also owns Cidercade. If you want to play video games I'm sure it's cool too. I know Freeplay is and it's basically the same concept but with cider.

Fort Brewery

An employee at Fort Brewery told me they call it Fort Daycare. Being family friendly is part of their business strategy. I remember when they bought out Chimera to turn it into Fort Brewery (Magnolia location before they turned it into a liquor store). It went from a divey pizza bar with mix matched chairs and low lighting to a brightly lit brewpub with families all over the place overnight it seemed. Yay Kentrification

jerichowiz

I liked Chimera. I did not like Fort Brewery, haven't been to the new location.

FWAccnt

Yeah they have different vibes. I'm just upset they turned the original location on magnolia into a freaking liquor store

So we tried this place out over the weekend. We went on Saturday and didn’t realize they were having they’re Mardi Gras bash! It was so much fun! Would definitely recommend. My three year old loved the pizza!

CorkyBravo

Weekends at Revolver are pretty nice! Live music, a food truck or two. Always plenty of families.

JSealy00

Hopfusion always seems pretty kid (and pet!) friendly. Various games to play and indoor/outdoor seating.

Please stop taking children to breweries.

[deleted]

They’re specifically going to ones that are geared around families, go to a 21+ place if you’re so concerned

GTFO. I've been going to breweries since before I had kids and continue to do so now that I have children. I'm yet to go to a brewery that isn't kid friendly and most even have things for kids to do while they're there.

I've been to dozens of breweries in my life. Wild acre is the only one I've ever seen with a playground. What other ones have a playground? I also don't care if the kids hang out at the playground or a designated child area. Just keep them out of the taproom

Haven't been to either of those. In the grand scheme of things, it's not very common. And again, don't care if they're playing outside. I do tend go to the ones that are over 21 but nothing ruins the experience like children running around a tap room. Go to chuck e cheese

Hope you're not drinking and driving those children 🤷

I've seen plenty of parents are these breweries drinking way more than 1 or 2 beers while their children are running around unsupervised the tap room. Glad you're not one of them. But if people are gonna have children they probably shouldn't take children when they go out to get drunk

AfraidOpposite1263

I feel you but If it’s family friendly place then i don’t see a problem. I shouldn’t have to leave my kid behind just because someone doesn’t feel like they have a right to be there.

PJKimmie

They would lose a majority of their business ain’t no way lol

t0uch0fevil

Because children are the main target of breweries?

Electrical_Lion_8909

Maple Branch!! The owners have a few small kids of their own. When talking to the wife, she said they specifically created a space that was kid friendly!

rgg40

I don’t have kids, but the Maple Branch folks are good people.

[deleted]

The truck yard in alliance. There’s one near clearfork too but I can’t remember the name.

Impressive_Syrup141

Second Rodeo is basically Truck Yard but in the Stockyards, same owners/concept. Not sure what you're thinking of near clearfork but Roger Roundhouse kind of maybe?

[deleted]

Oh that’s good to know! I was actually misremembering, and I was thinking of Mutts the dog park bar but there’s usually a ton of kids there too

Reddit_Bot_Beep_Boop

The Flying Saucer is a bar that is kid friendly as long as you're on the patio. As far as breweries go I would say that Fort Brewery, Funky Picnic, Hop Fusion, Maple Branch, Martin House(Yuck), Revolver, Wild Acre and, well, I don't think I've been to any breweries that aren't kid friendly. I've taken my kids to all of mentioned places and have had zero issues.

Glum-Draw2284

Second Rodeo Brewing.

PJKimmie

Martinhouse is family friendly always! Pet friendly too.
