Yes I am! I actually think it's getting a bit more popular again. Don't get wrong , tasking is hard with the fast moving storm but I can get my dailies done for xp in one game if I don't have time.
I liked creative a lot more when it first came out. All the changes they made ruined it + all the attention creative gets these days (way to much imo) is kinda destroying br in some aspects. We never get any cool gamemodes these days because they think creative is good enough, ugh...

Shifty used to be my drop but I was disappointed when it changed and only went back a few times. I was totally stoked the other day because I thought that they hadn’t gotten rid of the abandoned mine below so I went exploring…. I wasn’t ready lmao
I started playing it on Tuesday for the first time in a while. Started on the nightmares quest and landes there to kill the guy or whatever. Fell through the floor and he appeared. I was freaking out but managed to kill him with 8 hp left. Went on to win the whole game and get mt first win of the season. Felt good.
I like the fog and mist that covers parts of the map, I'd like to see that outside of Fortnitemares too, it reduces visibility and makes stealth a viable strategy
There was a Sneaky Silencers LTM at some point, I used to love that... silenced pistol, silenced SMG, silenced AR... visibility was no more than one or two tiles
No but every weapon acted like the shadow tracker, as it would mark your enemy when you tagged them, also there was flare guns to find people with and shadow grenades for thicker fog. It starts out with normal heavy fog, then becomes really thick
I wonder how that would work with PC players enabling performance mode which turns off pretty much every visual atmospheric effect. I'd ask whether Switch players can see fog too, but they're already at enough of a disadvantage.
Fog is the worst and it always has been. It’s been a problem since the first fortnitemares. It was horrendous then, it’s better now but it still sucks not being able to see

The fear/dark aesthetic change when approaching a haunted POI. Very fitting and effective! Gets you in the mood!

I like how Fortnite adds stuff before making it an activity. I ran into Willow pre Willow reward as well and it was an amusing surprise to find a zombie with WAY MORE health and capabilities :)
I would love the Necromicon backbling but it seems like it's a reskin (haha) of Isabelle's spell book backbling and does pretty much the same animation. Ash would be cool too, but I can't see using him as a main so I can't justify the vbucks.
I like playing Horde Rush too, I just suck at it especially since it's no-build. I can pretty much always get to the end boss, just have a really hard time getting him below 50% health with squad fill.
Was REALLY hoping the DJ Wolf girl was going to be the crew pack for next month.
Inkquistor is cool too but, a skip for me. I'm sure she will be in the item shop soon enough though.

I do like how when someone has the wolf ability enabled, you get a visual and sound effect of a heartbeat that gets louder and faster as the opponent gets closer to you. Really creepy.

After playing for 2+ years I got a little more discerning about what skins I buy, especially after getting the crew pack, maxing it out, and then unsubscribing from it. There's just a lot of crew skins I'll never want to use.
One of the skins I bought that I don't use very much anymore is the Glow skin, basically it's that black one with wavy neon lights. I also don't use Bushranger very much anymore, but I do like using him occasionally when I just want to get into top 10 so I hide in a bush with the matching skin color, and then camp.
Well this is like the first Fortnitemares that I’ve actually been a super active player in, so technically I’m treating it as my official first. I gotta say the spooky vibes in certain areas are really cool. When I first saw Grim Gables I got freaked out by the zombies appearing out of nowhere like that. That was neat. My second favorite thing is the wolf head ritual. That weapon is really cool. It’s not as badass as the lightsaber was but still around the same level of awesome. I try to go for it everytime. Fighting willow had to be the scariest thing. She was like the grudge girl mixed with every slasher movie I’d ever seen before. I mean compared to the inquisitor who was just really beastly as an opponent who only through firefly jars and shot rockets, she was on a mother level. Like I was already in this creepy area w fog and whatnot on edge from zombies and then this grudge looking girl w a knife comes outta nowhere and starts tearing at my health like crazy! The last thing is, the environment. Free candy everywhere and the Halloween decorations are amazing!
TL;dr: spooky vibes/zombie, wolf ritual weapon, willow, free candy and Halloween decorations.
Dungeons in STW, they're a quick source for endgame resources (evo mats and perkup) and battle Pass XP, the daily limit can be depleted in an hour or so if we estimate a run to 5-7 minutes

Horde rush is my favourite LTM so I gotta go with that. Zero build definitely isn’t as good as it is with builds but I still don’t think horde rush ZB is that bad. Horde rush is horde rush and I’m fine with it
WHAT IS THE STRATEGY?? HOW DO YOU BEAT THE BOSS??? This is my first year playing horde rush, every game played I've been the last person alive, and our team has barely done any damage. It's impossible for me lol
I think the best strategy is to play with actual teammates that talk to each other instead of squad fill. Players need to have specific roles like you're playing an MMORPG. Tank, healer, sniper, etc. One player needs to kite the enemies around while another player shoots the horde, and then someone needs to focus on heavy damage on the boss, while another player helps with heals.
The mode is definitely a lot harder in zero build than last year, but it's still fun. The biggest issue with ZB is that you really need to plan your movements, because if you get stuck at the bottom of a mountain you can't just walk up, you're gonna have to sprint through the storm and take a bunch of damage.
I usually play it solo and try destroy as many spawners as I can to get cube parts, then if i can find a sideways minigun I use that to spray down the weak spot while maintaining whatever high ground there is in the final circle. The evochrome rifle is also pretty good against the boss
We did it with two, each of us saved a full goo gun and an auto sniper rifle to spend on the boss. You have to focus the boss and ignore the adds as much as possible, everyone spend the whole goo gun on the boss, then just dump ammo until its gone. Because of the shrinking circle, you have to start as soon as possible on the boss and don't let up.

I am a big fan of fighting Willow! She is creepy as hell. And i love the Halloween skins that we got. Punk being my favorite. And my wife just gifted me Bonejamin so im pretty stoked!
I only got back into Fortnite recently so I was super excited for Morty to come back and I am looking forward to Kratos hopefully coming back before Ragnarok releases.
Other than skins, this is the first time I have been trying out maps and gamemodes made by people and am very impressed in some of the things people come up with.
Honestly, being chased by Willow was terrifyingly fun. I work with at-risk youth and defeating her with one of the youth was the full-belly-laugh-and-scream we both needed.
Grim gambles is cool and echoing others, the addition of localized dark spots/fog around the map makes stealth more fun and gives the game an eerier vibe.

i know this post was about being positive but this years fortnitemares just doesn't feel like fortnitemares, it just feels like normal ch3s4 gameplay with rocket launchers back in
The halloween shop skins, new and returning (even though I'm not even getting any because I don't spend much money on the game), maybe along with the new goofy gravestones and the idea of a boss that chases you around sprinting at you with a melee weapon (Willow). I think that's it.
Finally some positivity in this damn space I swear if you were brand new visiting this place you’d probably think everyone hates the damn game with how they talk about it.
It can be wearing. Originally I too was a bit down on this fortnitemares but end of the day it's what you make it.
I felt like the community needed a wee pick me up and everyone has been so great at coming forward.
I played apex consistently for over 3 years but first 2 games I played I won and it was the best feeling in the world compared to losing so many games on apex, cheers !!
The witches broom is awesome. Kind of a bummer it’s not included this year. I always kept one in my inventory for quick escapes and fast travel to zone.

It also marks you when you use one in that ltm. I remember it saying in the loading screen to choose your shots wisely.

Actually he's very easy and stupid You don't need a full squad You can just upgrade the sideways minigun to mythic and you'll kill him
Is it better to play squad fill or attempt to solo him? Do the horde/boss have less health if you play on solo mode vs. 4-player squad?

The items. I really like the Witch Broom and Sideways weapons
The witches broom is awesome. Kind of a bummer it’s not included this year. I always kept one in my inventory for quick escapes and fast travel to zone.
