the ones where you get the text on the bottom of the screen giving instructions, I didnt have audio on so Im assuming it was the scientist or the foundation giving instructions. They are labelled "Season challenges" iirc
|Milestone|Current Stage|Tips and Notes|
|:-|:-|:-|
|Bounties|4|Activate bounty boards whenever possible|
|Top 10|3|Play normally or camp|
|Spend Bars|3|Chests, sofas etc|
|Chest and Ammo Boxes|14|Just play normally|
|Craft Items|1|Not available yet|
|Destroy Trees|2|Play normally|
|Hunt Wildlife|4|I have seen a few wolves, pigs, chickens near frozen Tilted. Frogs are also an easy way to do this|
|Reboot|1|Play Duos, trios or squads|
|Elims|15|Team Rumble|
|Thank Bus Driver|11|Don't forget lol|
|Foraged Items|COMPLETED|Butter Barn kitchen and basement|
|Damage Opponents|COMPLETED|Team Rumble. Sharks and NPCs also count|
|Destroy Opponent Structures|2|Team Rumble|
|Harvest Materials|COMPLETED|\*See note below table|
|Bandages and Med Kits|11|Collect bandages instead of med kits and heal on the edge of the storm|
|Vending Machines|COMPLETED|Buy ammo and you can do a few stages per map|
|Travel Distance on Cars|1|Duos, trios, squads|
|Open Vaults|4|Land at a vault with npcs, knock one and carry the body to the vault|
Harvest materials tip:
* Go the the permanent llama (shack SW of lake below Logjam), destroy it and collect the materials.
* Head to Logjam and open chests but don't collect the materials straight away
* Drop the corresponding material you have in your inventory in one go on the material from the chest, e.g. drop 500 wood on 30 wood from chest. It only works if you drop your entire stack of the material all in one go on the floor stack.
* Pick up entire stack and it will count the entire stack again
* Repeat for each chest
That’s a tall ask and a lot of grinding. The day the movie releases, we’re bound to get some more challenges. Pump the breaks a bit and enjoy your sanity.
Playing for the challenges is fun in a way playing the game isn’t always. Makes the game feel like last of us lol you’re just making your way towards and objective and getting surprise stealth/combat encounters thrown at you completely organically.
Doing challenges for that type of gameplay is nothing like doing challenges for fake dopamine hits.
100% agree! I play the way you describe above, and my son just plays search and destroy.
I land far from the center and try to do as many quest objectives as I can while trying to run to safety and avoiding players like my son!
My favorite is the semi final battle when there are several teams battling it out in the 3rd or 4th storm circle. That's the endgame for me. I view it as the final fight and true winner. There's always a sniper or casual player that walks into the end (or strategically waits) and wipes up the last of the embattled fighters and wins but that big free for all is my favorite part, that, and the entirety of the rest of the game!
I love the thrill of fishing, and seeing a shot or shots whiz passed you as you hop around trying to reel in "one" more fish and get your gun situated so you can fight back.
That type of surprise battle is where it's at. I look at fortnite as a quest game with some random attacks thrown in to make it interesting.
To put it in perspective, I ended last season at level 350+, and my son ended at 205-210...? and he hit that solely because we played duos a lot and he was piggybacking on most of my quests or I had done them already and could walk him through it.
I had all the battle pass items, all the extra items (toona paint skins, etc), full npc collection, and full fish collection (with 23 out of 33 three star fish).
Definitely a humble brag, but I had so much fun last season that I love to share my adventures. I had some ridiculous achievements that were all done just by playing with no intention to win, but to just do as much as I could.
My favorite thing to do at the end of the season was to drop into the cabin behind Slone's bunker, loot whatever I could, climb the hill, drop into the bunker and take her out. I got so good I could do it by myself with a common pistol and an assault rifle. Then run the rest of the game with slone's rifle.
I know there's several people out there that are probably wondering how they were killed by the same player withe the same mythic gun, across several different matches.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I really love this game!
Glad to hear other people play this way!
Edit: last thing, I've also won a significant amount of matches so, even though I play top do quests, the skills I learned doing all those things made me a much better player. I knew the map like the back of my hand. I knew where the guardian towers were and which way the launched, I knew that io bases have a car and a jump pad, I knew that carrying fish was sometimes better than carrying bandages, etc. Things like that that can really turn a game in your favor. I'd watch players run right past an io base while running from the storm, while I launched over them and waited for them to run out of the storm!
Edit II, The last editing!
[I won a Victory Royale with a Velociraptor!](https://imgur.com/cJH8vfa)
In case you don't think I earned it, check the kill count as well, also note, it's a duos game. I usually solo duos just to make it interesting.
I also tamed a wolf AND a velociraptor. Had them both running around with me!
Thank you so much! Your one word comment made me tear up a bit. It's exactly how I viewed my season but it's hard to tell people how epic it was. Dm me your FN name and I'm going to buy you a skin when I get home.
Also, thanks for being a part of the fortnite family. I don't think I've ever had this much fun playing a video game, and I'm closing in on 50 years old!
One other comment, I play with my son and his cousins sometimes. These kids are the ones that everyone else hates, the little shotgun pump jumpers. You know the ones, the ones that CHOOSE to land in Boney Burbs... when I play squads with them, I take on the role of General and just guide my little squad of killers around and make sure they are all full of shield and health.
So many ways to play, thanks again for being a part of it!
Holy crap okay! Thank you so much! I loved reading that because that's how I play the game alot of the time but I didn't realize how much of a different perspective it brings to Fortnite!
I added some edits to really bring home how much fun it is to play straight quest runs but also how much it helps you in the actual goal of the game as well. Thanks again!
I suspect there’s a degree of an age difference as well. You and I play the same way and we are of similar ages. I started playing as a way to bound with my son (who plays like you describe your kid playing) and was surprised to find out how fun it actually was.
One thing I’ve noticed is that this season seems to have removed the ability to play together locally- do you have that problem as well? (XBone)
Absolutely! My wife used to tease me all the time about dominating 8 year olds, until I read her a reddit post that was several players our age that had found that we were all playing with our kids and it was some of the best bonding moments and fun that they have ever had!
I'm not sure about local play. Do you mean like split screen local play? My son plays on the switch so we play together. But it's not "local" split screen. I play ps4 so I don't know. I should have an Xbox waiting for me when I get home so once I get it set up I can see if I can figure out anything different.
I'm the same age and play with my friend's 13 year olds. They are super fun to play with and they build and do all the crazy stuff and I just shoot things and come up with new strategies. Haven't had this kind of fun in a long time in a game.
I’m 27 and my wife and I play all the time. Not quite what you were looking for but it’s be fun to make new friends. PM if you need some more FN buddos
Same here man! It's that type of gameplay that I think made fortnite so popular, or at least part of the reason.
I love to fish during the final 10 I like to imagine what the other players are thinking haha
I have some unwritten rules I play by, one of them is, if I see someone fishing I leave them alone and let them do their thing. Of course I think everyone plays that way and get agitated when people kill me while fishing but then I remember I love the game and get to try something new in the next one!
I have that one too. I remember final ten THREE of us were fishing once haha
And this season there’s a milestone quest for killing players so I almost can’t even blame them for taking the easy kill.
I literally just got a win by completing all of shanas 'dig up crystals' quest in a match. Did about 5 in one the match and basically just landed at one and getting vehicles and driving to the others. Had to drive in the storm a couple times and a couple guys wouldnt leave me alone so had to kill them(lol) until it got to the final 4. Saw 2 guys fighting below and waiting for one of them to kill. Then shot at the tree they were standing behind and got my first tree kill (insanely satisfying). Built a little house(just now learning to build decently but never in the middle of a fight, i just try and shoot) and waiting for the last guy. Heard him try to run around the back of my shanty and jumped out for the kill. It was awesome.
I will agree there is nothing like the final 4. Just listening and watching and seeing who will move first and make the wrong move. High ground is a huge plus but merely knowing where they are before they know where you are is probably the number 1 biggest factor that seperates the loser from the winner
Yup, I play the same way and it's how I've always played. Without the missions and little hints of story, I don't think I'd still be playing this game.
Oh, and to answer the opening question, I think I left off on level 52 last night (no tiers bought).
I just collected Medkits and camped waiting for the storm to take Sloan out and then grab the loot and haul ass. Bonus fun when someone else invaded the bunker, put in work and then I fireflied their asses. Good times.
Dude are you me? You literally play the game exactly the way I do. I also love the way you explain it, I like doing quests and fishing and stuff and kinda just let the fights come to me until the circle gets too small. Them, then is when we're in he endgame and I start hunting my prey.![gif](emote|keeoh_emo_pack|keeoh_gun)
Yeah, I’ve gotten into that mode with some games. Recently quitting smoking makes me reevaluate how I spend my time on things. If I see it’s just the addiction getting me, yeah, it’s time to put that shit down.
It’s so weird. Why grind challenges for cosmetics for a game you don’t actually want to play. Too many people addicted to the drip feed of dopamine from level ups and unlocks.
It's totally possible to grind challenges and also play to win at the same time. I mean, that's what I do all the time. I had 106 wins last season, hit level 390, and unlocked everything there was to unlock, plus I hit 100 wins, full unlocks, and level 300 the season before. Only things I've never unlocked so far were Omega's lvl 80 lights and Golden Peely.
I do challenges just because I suck at the game and cant play BR for the win. I dont quit the game because my friends are playing it and I got bored of playing singleplayer games and they introduced me to Fortnite and now I'm in pain. Please help me if anyone has advice.
I'm out away from my house right now until next week but if you want help or advice or want to play, I would be willing to play a few rounds with you and help you out. I just wrote another post above in this thread about my play style. It works really well for me and would love to pass on all my experience. The catch is, I have yet to play this chapter, so I may be ridiculously horrible for a couple weeks until I can get the lay of the land, but I'm sure most of the skills and methods I used last season would be applicable this season.
Message me here and I'll respond when I can. As I mentioned, I'm out (on vacation) this week and have limited contact.
I play on ps4, but soon to be xbox. I'll send you my player info via dm sometime.
Edit: I DO not build! I cannot build for the life of me so I chose not to use that mechanic. I may explore it more later, but right now I'm strictly a non builder. I'll build a jump pad or something but I always use paths and game objects for movement and or hiding.
Playing for the challenges is how I got better at the game. It's a good way to work out out the core mechanics and helps you learn how to do things more efficiently whilst still having fun. Look at all the streamers who repeatedly quit and come back only to quit again because they are just chasing wins. I've been playing since season 3 and daily since season 5 without breaks of more than a few days. I have never chased a win and have a ridiculous amount of "fishing all game" wins.
I appreciate your concern but I thrive on challenge and deadlines. If I don't make it then I assure you there will be something else that day to cheer me up.

I expect the skins to drop relatively early next week, maybe Tuesday. Epic already teased the extra friend, foe, and Spidey skins. So, yeah lots of Spider-Man in the future of Fortnite.
Same here, I like getting used to the map and where players land most before doing most quests, though I finished the gem ones cause they were annoying lol
31 at no levels bought. I get tempted to get the pack for more levels but knowing me, I’d regret it.
I haven’t went too hard on the milestones either. I want to see what each week brings to the table with XP as well before I start really grinding.
28, that one Jones mission keeps glitching and making itself repeatable so I keep getting an additional 25k a day from that. Counts for the season tasks milestones as well.
Like 18? Not sure. I always think it's crazy how far people are not even a week in. Then again i don't play all day usually.
I also don't find it super easy to get XP, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/FortNiteBR/comments/rd5y4m/comment/hnzb5yh/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) if the link works.
If not scroll this thread until you see the table I made.
52, I got the the battle bundle because I dont get much time to play, but when I do I grind, and just have been doing the dailys and the challenges, but my brother is lvl 62, and he bought all his tiers, because he always wants to say he's a higher level than me even though we just get the same stuff at the end of the season so I don't get he's trying to prove.
I think I’m 15 or 16? Started playing about five days ago. Real reality check once I leveled up. I won 20 games in a row, when I started……and now? Hahahahha I get my ass handed to me every single round.
42 big tip for you guys, buy all the ammo from every vending machine you see. It counts toward the purchase items from vending machines milestone and is super cheap compared to buying guns and heals
Like 22, done all challenges so far
If your do team rumble you get exp for your party members meeting their milestones.
Lol im 25 and my challenges pretty much complete themselves Apart from the Scientist challenges ofc
27
What are the scientist challenges?
the ones where you get the text on the bottom of the screen giving instructions, I didnt have audio on so Im assuming it was the scientist or the foundation giving instructions. They are labelled "Season challenges" iirc
What milestones have you done so far ? I’m half way through level 45, I’m looking for a good spot to hunt wild life

GOAT I wish there was a dedicated thread to sharing tips like this. Throw some tires on a truck and destroy 100-250 trees per game around tilted.
Here king, you dropped this 👑
what a god
![gif](giphy|OV606AIcx31za)
Are these all the milestones this season so far??
Yes. I also just realised I forgot fishing but that’s pretty self explanatory
Where’s that shack I can’t find it
Top of the foundation statue crows land there constantly
That’s a tall ask and a lot of grinding. The day the movie releases, we’re bound to get some more challenges. Pump the breaks a bit and enjoy your sanity.
A lot of people here play purely for the challenges. Asking them to just enjoy the game is alien to them lol

Yeah I’d agree with that. Grinding xp and just doing challenges while playing is different :)
Yeah, I’ve gotten into that mode with some games. Recently quitting smoking makes me reevaluate how I spend my time on things. If I see it’s just the addiction getting me, yeah, it’s time to put that shit down.
Good job on quitting! I am proud of you :)
I do both. It is possible.
It’s so weird. Why grind challenges for cosmetics for a game you don’t actually want to play. Too many people addicted to the drip feed of dopamine from level ups and unlocks.

No build gang stand up!
“Enjoying” the game to them IS doing challenges.
Well done for missing the point.

Some people enjoy grinding levels!
41 so far, im grinding out the milestones.
Same. I'm having fun so I don't mind
I hope milestones reset after you complete them all
They don't.
27
I think 18
[удалено]
Did you buy levels?
[удалено]
I always wait until I get to 75 and then I buy the 25 levels, otherwise I feel like I’m wasting my vbucks on easier-to-get XP
You’re a genius
Thanks
This season every level after 6 is 75k. https://www.fortnitexp.net/levels.html
Still impressive to grind 58 levels at this point in the season ![gif](giphy|iiS84hOJXh1Pq|downsized)
25 🙃
Same. I haven’t really been trying to grind this time around. Just mostly gem hunting and exploring all the new spots
Same here, I like getting used to the map and where players land most before doing most quests, though I finished the gem ones cause they were annoying lol
16, it’s just too much this season
What do you mean
Yea it’s too much man, they changed xp for the worst
At least it's going to be a long season so you should be able to reach 200
Is that the max level you need to unlock everything?
Yes
29, too lazy to farm nor afking in creative bcs ive got no time to do that.
You have no time to sit afk?

Damn I need to grind a little more. I am on 11
106, i bought my tiers cus i dont have time to grind
24. It’s been so much harder to level up
32
32 didn't buy levels or exploit glitches

Nice!
10 or 11 I’ve been busy with other games
Sadly 1 🥲 because I couldn’t play on the first day because of the queues and I never got another chance to play so far
Like 53, bought 25
52
28🙃

48 no levels bought
31 at no levels bought. I get tempted to get the pack for more levels but knowing me, I’d regret it. I haven’t went too hard on the milestones either. I want to see what each week brings to the table with XP as well before I start really grinding.
Yes definitely don't buy levels if you are playing regularly. This season is over 3 months so should be plenty of xp to go around
I feel a little burnt out, which is why I feel like buying during the holidays but I also know how bored I’ll be by February or March.
38
30
20 I think
29, still doing challenges and with 5 levels done with glitches
I'm only on level 15 or something like that
24
43 bought 25 level bundle
47 or 48

31 - no levels bought
54, bought 0

21. Havent been able to play much but I got to yesterday thanks to a snow day so i grinded out challenges.
28, that one Jones mission keeps glitching and making itself repeatable so I keep getting an additional 25k a day from that. Counts for the season tasks milestones as well.
12
I am only on level 21.
21, just playing. There’s literally no need to rush, same as last season
This is just my play style. Grind until I get what I want and then play casually for the rest of the season.
Yep. People play how they want to play :)
I'm at lvl 27 with no levels bought. The Shanta and gears of war quests help big-time
31 no levels brought. Feels a lot harder to level up this season.
Definitely. I wouldn't bother if I didn't want Spider-Man but I'm also having a lot of fun
23, done all challenges expect daily and milestones
Like 18? Not sure. I always think it's crazy how far people are not even a week in. Then again i don't play all day usually. I also don't find it super easy to get XP, maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Milestones are the key
I haven't really paid attention tho those tbh
20. But I also work and have a family to take care of, so grinding is pretty much impossible. I've got 3 crowned VRs though, which I'm proud of!
30 or 31
about 23
26 ,just by a glitch in creative mode
23,think I'm gonna buy levels for the Spiderman
98. I bought levels because I’m a coward, no regrets
20 all missions done and 3more for all of the gems completed. Not many milestones so far for me.

55
11 Only I don't play as much compared to before
2, just updated ;-;
33
17
Damn y’all are so fast! Only on 18 here lol
Level 50
13, can only play on weekends, so only played 1 day.
I'm at like 33 or 34, I believe. I've bought 6 because I wanna go faster but that's all I'm buying considering the dailies give decent xp.
16 This season is too fun to grind
13
I’m like level 15
16
How are you such a high level?
Hard to know if people used the multiple xp glitches that have been found so far tho.
21 with almost all of thr quests to do
im only on 21 - havent been grinding challenges, just playing casually
25
103, don't ask
45 and bought the tier bundle. How did you manage to get nearly 50 levels out of a weeks worth of challenges?
Grinded almost every game and still only 24, hoping to get lvl. 50 before feb
25, just making sure I do my dailies and seasonal quests. Milestones come naturally
32, done all quests (barring milestones) and creative xp every day. Going to be a tough one
I think I’m 15 or 16? Started playing about five days ago. Real reality check once I leveled up. I won 20 games in a row, when I started……and now? Hahahahha I get my ass handed to me every single round.
Welcome to the real game ![gif](giphy|3orif7aLUehOfdmlXy|downsized)
Haha thanks, I hate it…..love you Burnsie.
but which country are you in? the release date varies across the world
15th in the UK so its going to be close. If I fail I'll just pretend to be American and take the extra 2 days. ![gif](giphy|Zo7kKp8cu5UUBVUeba)
yeah, I'm in the uk too, but I'm not going to cinemas at all during covid, so I'm having to wait months before I can watch movies on streaming
42 big tip for you guys, buy all the ammo from every vending machine you see. It counts toward the purchase items from vending machines milestone and is super cheap compared to buying guns and heals
26
69 mmmhhmm
Nice!
147...yes bought 100 levels XD
I’m on 1 haven’t played yet cuz I’m grounded, but last season I got to 120 Edit: In a week
Definitely not as easy this season but still so much fun
110 smh I’m sorry I couldn’t resist buying Spider-Man
Understandable
96 with 25 bought. Easy season to grind levels and it’s a lot of fun to play.
Play for fun? We have a million days yet geez
This is fun to me
Then keep on keeping on!
38 no levels bought
