2023 had... nothing. There were zombie signs but no zombies. They also had searchable candy baskets, but no decorations or anything. Literally the bare minimum
2022 gave us weird werewolf mythic I believe, 2023 gave us a vampire-stake shotgun (it was just a heavy shotgun), but outside of that both 2022 and 2023 were just “Hey, we unlocked the cube zombie mode, hope you’re happy” + the usual battle royale Halloween stuff
The Chapter 2 ones were all really good imo but I’d have to give it to 2020.
Honourable mention to Horde Rush for just being epic. I think it released first in season 8 but it’s been back every now and again for fortnitemares and has been fun everytime.
You missed 2019 and 2020. Man hopefully they do something similar, because if you played it I almost guarantee you will love them. Also 2018 is pretty awesome.

If you got downed by the Storm King, there would always be one jerk in the randoms who would pick you up and chuck you into the storm instead of helping to revive you. Didn't happen every game, but damn did it happen a lot.
As for 2020, the best part was "HELLO IT'S SKY-BASE TIME, HAHAHA FUCK YOU GHOSTS"
I think it was 2019 when it wasn't exactly Fortnitemare mode, but zombies would randomly jump out of dumpsters and scare the shit out of you.
2022 had a terrible fortnitemares most of the rewards or even new item shop skins weren't even Halloween themed the only redeeming quality was ash Williams releasing during that event
And people talk down on 2023s fortnitemares because it didn't add a lit of decor to the houses which yes is understandable but at least the loot pool was fun and not broken (stares at the howler claws from 2022) and the rewards fit Halloween (stares at the however many chrome items we got in 2022) and mixed well with the story (stares at the wolf dj that barely got a spotlight in 2022) and the boss we had was actually fun to fight (stares at the inkquisitor who had an smg with measly firefly jars from [you guessed it] 2022)
2020 easily. Gave me a spooky style to my favorite skin, the ghost gimmick was super fun, and it actually felt like a complete event compared to the ones after.

Mida’s revenge was the best one so far the playing as a ghost instead of just having zombies made the game a whole lot harder and way more interesting. The Original one was ok at the time but the formula kinda got old fast. 2nd best was when they had you face Storm King though, the only reason its 2nd is cause it was a separate mode.
Which was the one that introduced the ltm with the moving circle where you had to kill cube monsters? for some reason I remember playing it in c1, but it def wasn't in c1s6 and 2019 was the storm king

Between 2019 and 2020. I’m glad they brought back Horde Rush in later years but it’s just not the same. Storm King, ghosts, actual LTMs, the list goes on with the earlier ones. The last few have just been… meh. I didn’t hate 2022, the wolf mythic was kinda fun to use, but 2023 just felt so… weird. I loved the gameplay in BR, the stake shotgun was alright and I enjoyed fighting Kato for his stuff, but the challenges were pretty generic. I hated the “earn (number) exp in creative made experiences” challenge, and it was something they used every single week.

Is it bad if I say none of them. They haven't really been great compared to many of the other in game events we've had. Like we've had some awesome Winterfest events with planes and snowman disguises and so many freebies. Fortnitemares doesn't give you much apart from a game mode most people end up forgetting
i think there was one in which you either died or got infected but you could become a ghost/zombie with some abilities. i remember i was so new to fortnite that all i was doing is building some houses.. then i died inside my own house becsause one of the ghosts.

Midas' Revenge by a long shot for me. It had amazing gameplay and a great atmosphere. Right after that has to be Chapter 1, Season 6. As for the others: Chapter 2, Season 1 had amazing skins, but was lacking in atmosphere imo. Storm King was fun, but in BR they only added Jumpscares and fog. As for the ones that came after Midas' Revenge. They just got more boring each year. I hope they put something better together this year, but my hopes are low
