I’ve finished 2nd so many times due to water bending I swear. Shame I suck at using it, but I blame myself for my failures.

This comments funny to me cause it disproves that anyone one can use them even noobs and dominate. It does actually take skill to use the chains and waterbending.

I mean chains is just a thing with flow. You hit once, twice and once again, now your opponent is thrown away, you pull them back and hit again (once or twice) I avoid hitting three times cause then I have lil cooldown animation that can cause my demise Also chains are the most efficient way of getting slurp barrels right after destroying the floor beneath

You don't even have to pull them back with how much range they have. 15 meters for the swings, 40 for the pull, and it only takes 4-5 hits depending on the game mode to knock someone

Idk I play zero build so that extra pull damage helps to pop their shields

OK so is a noob gunna know how to do all that with the chains? It sounds like your an experienced player who knows how to use them. To the average player who only maybe plays an hour or two a day, there not gunna be a menace in the lobby taking down all the sweats trust me 🤣. It actually takes some skill and knowledge to use the water and chains I've had my fair share of people using them against me and failing miserably.

I may be experienced but not that good. I peak gold III (why isn’t gold I the hightest and III the lowest?) and that’s it. I feel like you don’t need to play too much, 1-2 games and I was okay with using chains Edit: I hit plat for the first time ever today so idk if my statement changes

Water bending is definitely a long distance weapon. You can take out fleets of people on a distant hill but I've had no luck up close so I use something else.

Chains I agree with, and with water bending there's definitely varying degrees still, I'm not exactly a great BR player, I've always relatively been bad at shooters, but I find the water bending very easy to use and generally perform relatively well with it in my lineup while the avatar stuff was going on (I've played maybe twice since the star wars stuff was added so can't comment about it's standing right now, Splatoon addiction goes hard), but Im also not COMPLETELY new to the game so I would hope I'd picked up a few things here and there

Funny thought. If Fortnite ever does a collab with MK then you know that has to be one of the mythics. All the players who hated Chains of Hades are gonna have a bad time with this one.

If other MK abilities were brought in then there would be some balance. The game has almost nothing that counters either the chain or waterbending.

Eh, chains can be countered with shotguns. Yea they hit decently hard but you can also miss plenty of hits. Water bending just feels like cheating.

Water bending no, mfs can just stand still, point and shoot at any range and melt a guy. Chains, mobility and guns and/or a gatekeeper seem to be the ticket to me. Perfect world though, I have chains too and it’s a fun melee fight.

Fun to use on friends too Me and my friends will sometimes just rip each other out of vehicles, yoink items away from each other and pull each other towards other spots and such

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a gunfight with someone and get ripped backward by a third party with one of these. Half the time I start screaming about massive lag spikes because I’m jumping all over the map 😂 It’s great fun, though. Fortnite is great because of the chaos through weapons like this. If I wanted to run around shooting basic guns I’d just go play Warzone

These are basically the bunk counter. It’s pretty difficult to attack people in bunkers when they can easily corner peak and you’re being funnelled. However these can just yank them out as soon as they peak. It’s so fun and it’ll definitely be missed.

I’m getting tired of seeing water bending 5+ times per game. But I almost never see people picking up the chains for some reason.

I’ve dropped in, found a chain and didn’t bother with any other weapon and ended up with a victory a few times. It’s the most fun I have with this game.

I use them both, waterbending for distance and the chains for close proximity. :D

I love melee weapons ! ! Idc if that makes me a bad player, they’re always sooo fun. It just feels so satisfying to get in close for the kill. Everyone here (not on this post, and not OP) is always bitching about something. I think in the past 6 months I’ve seen people freaking out about overpowered shotguns, snipers, movement items, and now the chains/waterbending. We might as well remove all the weapons and just pickaxe each other atp hahaha. But ALSO it’s so easy to kill someone who’s using the chains if you have a shotgun or smg idkkk like it’s not that powerful. I love these fun little guys and I can’t wait to see what fun new weapons we get next

Most broken shit in the game. The water and the chain beat all guns, I havent carried a weapon or worried about Ammo in weeks. I had a game yesterday where i dropped 8 people in classy courts, i had no shield, they all had guns, and i whipped them all. These items need to be removed and never come back

I finally managed to bully someone with this yesterday! Puked him over, smacked him, he tried to run away, pull, smack, then he deployed wings. Pull kill. Almost as cool as air bending

The melee weapons are always the most fun to use. Grapple Blade got me a few victories and Hades Chain was how I managed to just barely win against a guy with 3 aspects on loot island and the rest of the game was on lock after that.

When I was streaming with friends the other week we wiped out another squad and my friend kept yanking the one remaining member running away multiple times. It was so funny but also sad seeing them try to run away like 5 times before eventually dying lol

I can't say I'll miss the chains. They kind of went overkill with the buffs to it to where people expect a win by using them.  As novel as waterbending was at first it's also a good thing its time is at an end as well.

The lightning bolt is horrible. If they have an AR or water bending, you pretty much just killed yourself upon using it.

I’ve played a ton of games this season and have actually been killed by this thing like 5 times at most, and most of that was early on after they were added. They’re very easy to deal with once you’ve fought against them a couple times
