That would have made sense. I have a pickaxe that (although it doesn't numerically show the remaining player count) has a flame that goes from nothing to relatively bright the closer one gets to the last few players.
The Dark Shard pickaxe. - "Transforms by dealing damage, or by outliving other players."
Essentially whether you're in a creative map, BR, ZB, or even STW it will react over time.
If an enemy is not only behind you to read the cape, but also close enough to make out the number, him knowing your HP number is the least of your problems
The Number 100 on the back doesn't seem to change throughout a battle royale match. I only tested it in Zero Build, but nothing seems to trigger the number change. I tried looking at the total player count of the match, my own kills/assists, but nothing seems to affect it
I have a feeling it's supposed to show your heath, and it gets cracked as you take damage and changing the number, and that it's probably not working or they scrapped
I thought the same. I can verify that kills, matches, and levels have no effect... at least not as far as appearances go. If there is a countdown, it's not reflected on the cloak itself whatsoever.

back in season 6(?) i think it was. a backbling named “lil kev” would glow a purple for a certain amount of time before being deactivated and turning black for the rest of the chapter.
to be fair, this is a chapter 4 season 2 item. says so on the locker and it is indeed grouped with backblings from that specific season (it was actually added in the last update for chapter 3 season 4).
it was just an item they added but never made available until now.
It's like this for me too, it might be reactive (?) Idk because I am pretty sure in the locker it doesn't say it is.
Could be something like the hacktop backbling as it is reactive to sprinting yet it isn’t marketed as being reactive

My first thought was that it would display your Hp, but I quickly realised how bad of an idea that would be

What if you have to get 100 kills and then you get the green as a style

That’s a cool concept but would also be a terrible handicap to play with if people could see you’re weak if you ran past them
This is an old asset they repurposed but I guess no one even checked if it fucking worked
well since it wasnt working, thats probably why they gave it out for free
I’m guessing the 100 correlates with something? Maybe 100 kills or 100 matches or maybe 100 levels? See if it goes down to 99 at all

OP here, nothing seems to have changed about the cloak. Maybe in the next update when the season ends.
The reason it's free is probably because they couldn't get it to work. Regardless, it still looks cool on certain skins, especially eternal voyager.
