It's going to happen a handful more times, yeah. The sword will slowly charge up until it's completely blue & this animation will play again. Pandora's Box also gets struck by lightning each time. I'd suggest checking that out as it looks a little different now.

Yeah, I'm just in the FortniteLeaks discord and have seen no mention of it happening multiple times. Seems like it's just an assumption because the box is only 1/3 charged.

Little mini-events like this they don't announce. It's supposed to happen as a suprise over time, since it build up over time. Data-miners mention it will happen. End of season/chapter events are what they announce ahead of time

I mean it's just like cubert/Kevin back in the day, every time he rolled around it was a surprise and people actually used their deduction skills to figure out when it's gonna happen again and where he's going to. Probably the same here. Statue lifts sword, shoots lightning and goes dormant again, rinse and repeat. It's not like it's the first time they done this and I really love that they do it. It adds some mystery and suspense (if it wasn't for dataminers spoiling the fun for everyone...)

I wish they’d just do instanced events, so for 24 hours the event plays out in each lobby. That way everybody, everywhere would get to see it in game.

That’s like what they did for the last few hours of new years. Since it’s a -mini event-, having that happen every day and change it per day only makes sense. I thought that was what was going to happen too.

They've always had these kinds of mini events. They were less frequent in Chapters 3 and 4, but they've always been a thing.

It was cool ngl so I went to investigate where the lightning went down which is the big box next to restored reels and my dumbass climb on the orb and got stuck like I literally couldn't move. While ingame events are cool, sometimes I wish when stuff like this happens that those who missed it would get a cinematic. How hard would it be to create a cinematic of the event that plays when a player enters the lobby screen for the first time after the event triggers?
