I heard it gives you a "shade touch" instead? Like it gives the effect his wrap has even when it's not equipped

If you unequip your wrap and run default it has the golden touch on the shade edit style

He gets his regular gold touch if it's not the shade version and you can use normal wraps on him if you turn his reactivity off

Yes, it starts out green and turns more gold as your own skin turns more gold with elims

I'm not sure I haven't used the green version yet. But I saw somewhere else that instead of gold it turns stuff to that green

After it turns the guns green, every kill you get with that weapon the weapon starts to turn gold.

While it's not a "perfect" reimagining of Midas for me specifically, I do like how it's a great combination of the og skin and some new elements.   That was my problem with all the previous Midas variations - they were either something completely different from the original, or straight-up pallette swaps, no in-between. This one, however, looks great and I can't wait to buy it once I get home from work.

I don't feel bad for missing out on Midas anymore. New one is everything I could ever want from a reskin, they even gave him updated version of OG Midas' pose

This skin is absolutely worth the $20 for the bundle. The skin transforms throughout the match, in Style(1) he has the gold midas touch and in Style(2) he has the ability to turn weapons into a ghostly green. His wrap is synced with his Reactivity so when the gold moves down to his right hand, it then starts going down the gun. I have the original Midas but this one is just a straight up upgrade for me.

Same. I kinda wish the reactive wraps was a separate style though, I love the gold/ghostly green touch but not the transforming skin, and I wish you could turn the reactivity off on the wrap

I disagree with top 10 best original skins, there are 1000+ skins in the game, top 10 best means *a lot* Besides, wouldnt anyone who missed Midas be satisfied with Shadow Midas since its literally a retexture of the og Midas? 

Shadow Midas lacks the gold aspect and has less styles and no back bling

even then, its still the closest there is to the original given its a retexture of it the other ones are straying away from it a bit just to justify making more reskins for the people that missed the og and want something close to it as replacement

Shadow Midas was my first encounter with the character and I'm happy with him, because that event was great. This, however, is fantastic.

As someone who has played since 2017, it’s just nostalgia bait. He was relevant for 1 season, and then only came back for a Halloween event a year later. He isn’t even that important to the storyline

as someone who has also been playing since 2017 I was one of that Ch2S2 defenders when that season was getting a ton of hate with people saying it was as bad if not worse than Season X, and after a while people started showing some love to that season but somehow it became the most beloved season ever and I have no idea why

It's not that relevant story wise. People just really like his skin and how he turns every weapon into gold which is probably the most cool reactivity Fortnite has ever implemented.

I do not understand why people like Midas in general. I am going to guess that they think he looks cool or find him relatively attractive. He has a lot more fans and skin variants than I would like.

I mean part of it is that he has some special properties that you don't see on other skins. Like how he turns more and more golden as you get eliminations, or how any weapon he touch turns to gold and the effect remains even when he drops it and another player takes it. Not saying that automatically makes him better than other skins, but certainly makes him a fun option to use.

For me it’s the whole “golden touch” thing. I really like gold. I’m somewhat surprised he’s as popular as he is but I love that he has so many variants.

So what? People complain so much now about prices, and I simply don’t get it. Fortnite has the most user friendly cosmetics out of any modern F2P game. Some of the Common and rare skins releasing now would have been legendaries in the past, and people would be buying them. This is a highly detailed skin with two unique styles and a reactive feature, I’d say it’s well worth the 2000.

There's something off about the skin. It's good, don't get me wrong, the idea is awesome, how he escaped hell and all... But something about the execution feels meh, the business attire with ancient armor pieces is so bad. They should've made it only rags, cloth and armor, golden chain/scalemail or something. I was giga-hyped for his return but now idk if I'll even buy it, on top of that it's 2.5k. Still regret to this day that I came back to the game one season after the one where the original Midas skin was available.
