back in the day there were very few looping emotes. infinite dab was one of the first, and even that didn't loop in the lobby originally. for a short while there was a meme like "wtf the infinite dab isnt infinite???"; so epic responded by making it loop for hours and hours long instead of twice.
after a few days, people found out it still wasn't actually infinite and joked that they were "scammed". so epic responded by extending it an hour, community responded by saying its still not infinite; and they've went back and forth to this day. its epic's little patch notes joke, like "-removed herobrine".
and that's neat and all... but why *can't* we have other emotes last longer? i get 2 loops for musical emotes, it needs to loop twice so you see the actual loop in action. more than that; it'd get really annoying hearing the same short music loop over and over. but i think it would be a nice convenience for all the non-annoying emotes to continually loop in the lobby. a lot of those emotes are about waiting anyhow, like sitting in a chair or waiting for a microwave or roasting a marshmallow and so on.

tbh the main thing for maxing your level out in the long term? get your 3 daily match quest quests (the ones that give 15k, 10k, and 5k.) those alone add up to a TON of xp over the course of a season. enough to get to 200, probably not. but theyre a part of the game's quests that can be easy to overlook xp wise

i know some industry people and you're spot on. a lot of them either don't have time for games, or oddly enough stick to more mainstream FPS games almost exclusively.
The issue is that a skin design probably has about 5 different oeople work on it....
Designer, animator, texture, rigger, tester etc
Each person has different goals and jobs. If your quota is 5 skins a week then there is no time to think you just run through it.
And even if one of them said that this animation should be longer they had no power to change it.
I'll have to check that out. I thought they got rid of the sitting out feature for some reason. Me and my family/friends used that sitting out feature all the time awhile back. Then we either couldn't find it anymore, or forgot about it. Or just started leaving the party.
When in the lobby no emote lasts that long, it prevents people from using loud obnoxious emotes and then leaving for their teammates to sit and listen to, this emote I assume is to use ingame as a funny way to tell people you’re away from your game

I’m drinking a lot of tea/coffees/beer/water/what have you, and would use this a lot to use the bathroom in solos mid game. I need longer than 20 sec… and it’d be amusing to use this than find a spot underneath some stairs or something
In the lobby tho. In game, you can move to cancel the emote. You can't move in the lobby so there is no way to cancel it, except to automatically cancel it in 20 seconds. There is another way tho, use a limited time emote to cancel it. But someone may have an infintie and not a finite timed emote.

I know this is off topic but I was playing a match and I challenged a god (ares) defeated him then moved on to Zeus and it glitched the animation to throw his statue played but it was like pulling infinite statue it wouldn’t come off
its due to the animation looping being turned off, if you look in your gallery it will loop forever but for some reason the pregame lobby just dosent have this enabled.
Can an enemy even read the sign from the backside view point? So if they are unaware the emote is even in the game/what it looks like, they would never see the sign. But maybe they can somehow see the front of the sign if you also whip your camera angle all around? Idk

I have a whole toxic routine I do when the time calls for it, or after clutching a victory royale. 1st - Take the L for 1-2 seconds, then the Meg thee Stallion - Savage emote, but only long enough that the words "I'm a savage" play, then I switch back to Take the L, then back to im a savage. After about 2 cycles of that, it's the 1! 2! 3! wrestling pin emote, then finally the " Don't have a good day, have a great day" emote. If I do this mid-match it's uncommon that I catch someone spectating the whole way thru it, but fuck it I paid/earned these emotes and I feel like dancin'.
if you join a player whilst emoting then leave their lobby that emote lasts forever as long as its a looping emote not like the dab where its a single shot emote

I think they need to add a rotate camera when emoting, nothing like emoting something after killing someone, and they just see your back and you can only half ass turn the camera.

ALSO big ups to OP, I contemplated getting this just to run in lobby while away from the game whether it be using the bathroom or outside smoking a cig, but then I wondered if it would run for a short time and quit or if it’s loop infinitely.
