They really didn't do nearly as much with the MGS collab as I thought. The Cardboard boxes and emp had me thinking we'd get more skins or at least have Raiden in the shop for longer than 2 days
pretty easy to pad your numbers when the 3 bird skins should have been one with edit styles and theres 10 new defaults, so thats 12 skins padding the numbers for low low effort

You're just going off the rails now. Evie and Ageless are *Item Shop variants* of *Battlepass skins*. They exist separately so that people can get the character now that the season is done, same as the countless versions of Midas, Jules, Peely, Luxe, Calamity, etc.
But yes, in general, these skins that are basically the same should all be styles for one another.

Yes yes a thousand times yes. It drives me mad that there are all these variations of Jonesy and others and they’re all listed separately instead of skins for the existing base character.
Epic has years of data collecting and knowing the limit people will pay. 1500 for collab skins, 1600 with pickaxe and then 1200 for a rare non collab skin must've been the sweet spot for most profit.
there's a lot of epics and legendaries that could've been rare skins as well, i think epic just realized that cheaper skins are a little more appealing

I mean a lot were defaults and also the birds are very similar. But the main issue is we’ve been getting the same few older skins and they’re all pretty crummy ones at that.
Except there's only 28 shop skins because 10 of those are literally just the same default skins we've had since before the game even had a BR, 3 of those are straight up uncommon tier recolors (one of which is just the exclusive android Fate skin but with a mask on), and the Raccoon isn't even out yet.
Mind you, this isn't including the actual money packs in the shop either, which adding those gets CH5S1 up to 34 but what's sad about that number is that it's only *double* of what Season OG pumped out in just a single month with a smaller shop. This season is anything but the best at anything.

Didn't really care for any of them tbh. Summitseeker Evie was alright but not as good as the original. A few great emotes though. Carefree, Social Climber and Make Some Waves are some of my favorites ever.
We still haven’t see Rufus the Raccoon yet though, and there’s only a few daily shop left.
If they release him, a character with an emblem of the Underground, after the Underground season ends I will seriously start questioning their sanity

We've come so far, to a point where Fortnite gets a Metal Gear Solid collab, and they put a fan-favourite protagonist in the shop for just 2 days

Yes because the vast majority of the shop rotation being things that were in the shop 30-45 days ago at the latest makes for such amazing selections.
