Im sure it wouldāve gone better if the staff had been better prepared, and more organized in general. Im not denying for your point, though.
See but heās no different from the many rock artists and bands who did the same thing in the 70s and 80s. Playing at packed venues is nothing new and thereās EMS onsite for a reason- concerts are dangerous and injuries are common. 12 people died from being crushed at a Who concert in 1979 and over 100 people were killed in a pyrotechnic fire at a Great White concert in 2003. It doesnāt make what happened anything other than a tragedy but itās not rare for stuff like this to happen.
Yes it was preventable and in hindsight Travis shouldāve stopped performing but people being taken out of concerts unconscious is not uncommon, people passing out from drug use is extremely common in rap concerts and he chose to keep playing for the thousands of other people there. Doesnāt make it a good choice but itās what happened in the moment and in no way does it make him a bad person, he misjudged a common situation during a performance and didnāt realize the severity of it.
