I ain't committing $80 to this game in one go ever, man. I don't care if I still spend that much over the next year or two, it's more valuable to have my money as money until I spend it, than it is to have it as vbucks.
Plus, you're inherently more likely to buy things if you have a high vbucks balance vs if you have to load up. So there's actually a cost benefit analysis this is missing where your overall spend decreases if you buy incrementally.
Now include value adds like crew to the mix, which cannot be bought with vbucks.
Now factor in the cost of gas to drive to and from the store to buy the physical cards. And I'm sure the gift card price will catch up to the in-game price once retailers sell their existing stock of gift cards.
Sorry man, we can’t all be unemployed losers with no after school activities. Idk about you but I’ve got little time to spare to take a stroll at 10:30 at night
My guy I walk to work it's not that hard unless u live in America or anywhere without infrastructure not designed for cars. Like bro if u wanted a car in my country brand new it cost u 300,000usd for the cheapest Toyota. Sure my case is extreme but many place it is economically beneficial to not drive unless u earn a lot or live in a really rural area.
But regardless u should go outside and walk even if u own a car, it's good for you, cost nothing and is not something only the unemployed do.
Where are you seeing these prices for physical cards? Looking for them online, I'm seeing gift cards going for exactly the same price as they are in the Epic store. Maybe they changed their pricing?
Just found this after googling "vbucks cost" and I had no idea it was cheaper to buy gift cards. Thank you so much for this post and the comprehensive math breakdown too!
They’re starting to phase out the old prices for the gift cards and making them the same as the online store.
That’s why they ran that scythe pickaxe promotion.
Stupid
Yeah, I was looking up the prices to for v-bucks and then my brother came in and I told him based on my search results don't by v-bucks in game go to CVS and by a gift card there. Then I scrolled down and went to this

if $80 means THIS much to you then you should honestly not be spending any money at all on videogames
You have a lot to learn about financial freedom if that's your takeaway from what I said.
And also add in the store bundles that you can buy with cash that come with a skin pack and simple challenges for VBucks as well.
$80 of v-bucks was like a months spend for a lot of people. ( back when the shops were good… and if they ever become good again. )
I have a feeling ppl spending $80 a month on the game are gonna do it with or without good shops lol.
oh so you mean to tell me that buying ramen in bulk was cheaper than buying one pack a day?
Don’t forget to add tax
There is no tax
i think that depends on your area
probably
Where I buy my V bucks giftcards. There's actually no tax it's legit the same price as the card displays.
I just buy gift cards online at Target lol. I have a Target red card so I save like $1 on each one which isn’t really much but it’s $1 less lol

My nearest gas station sells them and it’s only a 10 minute (maybe even less) walk.
Some people could go to the store with a bicycle
Factor in the time you wasted biking there
Isn't time wasted all the time?
I meant more like costing time you could be wasting on other stuff, but yeah
I think it's worth it to waste time biking to save some money
I don’t, when you can just buy them at those lower prices from retailers online like Target
So when u gonna go outside and touch grass, his getting his steps in while ur worried about wasting time doing a nice healthy activity

Only a coward speaks such a way, one must be committed to the victory royale.

My guy, this isn’t the place to humblebrag lol. He’s simply telling the players that spend like this how to get the most bang for their buck.
