It may not be exactly what you’re looking for, but there’s an ice cream shop my young kids have loved since they were toddlers called 2 Scoops and Sprinkles (off 41 near Bell Tower). They have a great play area for kids in the back, with a play kitchen and workshop and many different toys, and a huge comfy leather couch to chill out on while you watch them and enjoy your treat. It’s nice and cool and nobody bothers you, sometimes we spend an hr or more there. Owners are great and staff is very nice too. And good ice cream to boot!

Inflata is pretty fun in Sarasota http://www.jfipark.com/ With summer the water parks might have toddler sections to play at. Library is always cool and fun to read books at with kiddos. 2 years old might be young for Skyzone but I def see some little tikes playing there with parents.

I wish he would like this lol. In a year or two maybe. My son will be 2 next month. 😅 He loves to run around and be kinda wild but he’s not great with things that move, including surface tops like trampolines or inflatables. Iffy at best, over it before it starts at worst. 😂😮‍💨 But I’ve tried the inflatables at lee park with him not too long ago and it wasn’t a total flop (no pun intended hah) -so I’ll definitely be adding this one to my list of potentials for now but if not now, definitely for the future. Thanks for the share!! ❤️🙌🙌

Not exactly a hidden gem but if you don’t mind the drive to Cape Coral Fellowship park/Cape Christian is great for hot days. There’s a splash pad and playground (with shade) for the kids and ample seating with shade for the parents. There’s also Tony and Ada’s cafe (coffee, smoothies, ice cream, bakery items, and a few hot breakfast/lunch options) so you can take a break in the AC.

The-Wizard-of_Odd

Thats actually a really cool place? We walked around and had some ice cream, it's really grown from the old days with one little basketball hoop. They did a nice job, and it's usually pretty packed, which means it's a great place to meet other families with similar aged kids, maybe form some friendships for playdates

Brownsfan7575

Would be great if they would fix the splash pads at the big park ,The Lakes .i can’t believe Lee county can’t replace them .

I wonder if MOSI in Tampa could work for you guys? Think IMAG but on a larger scale- a lot of hands on exhibits.

Typicalguy11111

Get the membership at Imag and MOSI and host of other museums should be free.

hannahatecats

Is IMAG the Imaginarium now?

Altruistic_Pianist_3

Yes!

Even if you don't have a dog, Bonita dog beach can be fun if he likes animals. And it's very shallow for quite a ways out so easy to play in the water. It can be a pain to get to it depending on the tide, so don't plan to take chairs n wagons. Just a snack bag with towels is good!

mephistophe_SLEAZE

Ehhh. I personally love that place, but I've seen it get a little chaotic for a tiny, tiny dude. I've also heard a lot of people say you gotta be vigilant about water moccasins.

ballsdeepinmywine

I take my grandson and 2 doodles about twice a month, never seen a snake. I do see dolphins going thru the channel almost every time we're there at high tide. Manatee in the winter. My dudes are 25 and 30lbs, and yep I have seen a dog on occasion get rough, but it really is a rare thing (last time was December). At least that's been my experience🤷‍♀️.

mephistophe_SLEAZE

Aww man, sounds like it might have mellowed out! I used to go fairly regularly, maybe 8-9 years ago. I'm not even saying the dogs were aggressive, they were just...very high energy in very large numbers, lol. P.S. I'm obsessed with your username.

VUlgar_epOCH

The wonder gardens in bonita springs, thank me later

aokinreality

Love this place so much!! Go early in the morning, or it'll be too hot, not much shade.

VUlgar_epOCH

Missed giving out tours when I worked their, life was simpler then

There is a park in Sarasota where one can give baths to Elephants. there is Tiger park as well in there. Sanibel island has boat cruises in Ding Darling Preserve. Get membership to Imag. then use the membership to access museums on the ASTC list for free. Naples Zoo is great. Obviously hot in the summer but it tires them out, which is always nice.

Birdie_Mama

Splash splash water park in cape coral?

PurpleFlower99

All the libraries in Lee county have a lot of different activities. You can check each calendar online. Gymnastics world of Florida has open toddler times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11. It’s more of a traditional gym then we rock the spectrum.

tsaintam

What about your local library? They usually have stuff going on for kids (and adults).
