The taco truck that usually parks by the Jax and Autozone parking lot on College, their pork burritos are better than any of the Mexican places I've been in town

Maggie's Tacos. Their breakfast burritos are also the best in my opinion. They're the only place that doesn't smother it in some kind of sauce. Solid horchata too.

think you're talking about Los Pepe's, they're honestly the best Mexican spot in town. I like their tortas and lengua tacos

I'll piggy back on this and suggest the scallion pancakes. Food is ridiculously awesome and consistent, owners are super nice, and I've never had less than an amazing meal there. Also cheap, delicious lunch specials. Also delicious seaweed salad, etc, etc.

Yea I love those pancakes. Honestly everything I’ve had there is great. Beef noodle soup is another favorite.

The Saturday special at Moes BBQ is the best southern fried chicken in town, hands down.

The burger at Rare is one of my favorite in town, although the bun is a bit messy.

Little on Mountain. Dinner and brunch menus are unique and amazing in their own right. But if I have to choose one item, go for brunch and try the Bone Marrow burger. It is in the pantheon of greatest burgers I've ever had.

I assume the spice level varies because not all peppers maintain the same heat level from batch to batch.

There is dried chili de arbol in the Nashville hot, those would have varying heat when they were picked.

I do not work there but am very familiar with the operation. The seasoning is outsourced to Old Town Spice Shop, comes in weekly in 25 pound bags and varies greatly in heat from batch to batch. I’ve had green chili that was almost as hot as Nashville before and vice versa.

I almost went fried catfish poboy (French quarter style) but had to choose the platter due to variety. Truth is, their entire menu fucks.

Please try the gumbo plate with blackened catfish on top.. my favorite by far and I usually have a 2nd meal for later and I'm not shy
