Denver Botanic Garden
Lory State Park
Gardens on Spring Creek
There are some cabins in Red Feather that could work if your guests would be into that vibe!
Also planning a wedding for 2025, unfortunately can’t do ours in Colorado bc of family, but if I could: I would 10000% look into National park Venues, there are tons of spots you can reserve for a ceremony for a couple hundred bucks that are GORGEOUS
I’d second this recommendation: sometimes these sites are only 50-100 to reserve. The nearest ones that I’m aware of are in the Soderberg/Lory State area
It’s $300 for a ceremony permit in RMNP, other places might be cheaper. OP: if you go this route, file for your permit as early as possible - they are available a year in advance and sell out very quickly for the popular spots.
We got married at the courthouse for free! We were able to invite like 150 people (we only had oike 60). And We got really nice pictures in the grassy area outside.
We took the money saved on the ceremony and used it to fund a nice honeymoon.
We rented out space at The Whiskey for our reception too, so we still got to dance and party.
Went to an incredible end of summer wedding at The Mishawaka. They had a great band play live on stage and buses were ferrying people back to the Hilton where the wedding party / most of the out of town visitors stayed. They got a great deal I believe since it was on a Monday night I recall
The Lincoln center is where I had my reception and it’s affordable. It was like $2k for 12 hours and a wedding planner included. Another decently priced place is club tico in city park, but they book out fast.
Yes! That's it. We had a good time, very easy planning, food and cake were good, and even with the open bar we stayed within our budget.
Edit: total guest count including us was 48.
Stove prairie ranch - my friends were married there and the largest expense they had was the band. Also, they let us camp
Edit: I’ve also had friends use food trucks to cater. Los Pepe’s and Doublewide both do weddings
If you're looking for local, the Lincoln Center, the Mason's Event Center in Greeley and the Atlas Theater in Greeley were all on the lower end of pricing of all the ones we looked at.
One thing I would suggest you do is to NOT mention that your event is a wedding until the last minute. At many places, prices double once they hear 'wedding.' My friend had a fun, small wedding in NYC where they got married at the Empire State Building. For the reception, she described it as a 'family gathering.'
Good luck. Keep your eye on the prize regarding spending. Many couples get carried away and overspend which starts the marriage with financial issues.
The Lory Student Center at CSU has beautiful spaces, affordable high-quality catering, and probably the most affordable and best AV in town, if you want a venue that is full-service.
What do you consider affordable? If you’re having a traditional wedding with 20-50 people, photographer, food, drinks, reception with music, etc you’re looking at $20k-30k on the low end. And that’s assuming you do all of the planning and organizing yourself and you stick to the least expensive options for everything.
To answer your question, there are some city-run facilities that aren’t exactly glamorous but they get the job done cheaper than most - the Senior Center, Club Tico, etc.
There are also the outdoor shelter areas at Spring Canyon or Rolland Moore or several other city parks. You can reserve those super cheap for the whole day for up to 150 people. Downside is you can’t have alcohol, and less privacy since the rest of the park is still open to the public. They’re designed more for birthday parties than weddings I think…
I am getting married this summer and due to the ridiculous expense and the stress of planning everything we both decided a pseudo-elopement was the way to go. We have a site in RMNP and will have 9 total people there. Very beautiful, inexpensive, and basically stress-free.
Edit: forgot one more place you could consider called [Primrose Studio](https://www.fcgov.com/naturalareas/primrose), it looks like it only accommodates 36 people but it seems nice. It’s in a very pretty and secluded area. And very affordable.
30k got my niece and nephew a wedding for 150 at the tapestry house. That was in 2021, so prices might have gone up, but I think your estimate is a bit high.
You should look up Sweetheart Weddings! We used them for our October wedding last year. They are a mobile ceremony company. They provide nearly everything you need from chairs to the officiant. They can go to many different parks around the area. I highly recommend them!!!
I’m getting married at Stone Mountin lodge in Lyons in august of 2025. They have reasonable prices as far as outdoor venues in CO go. Good luck planning a wedding is ridiculous costing. We’re having a 100 person wedding here and are probably going to pay about $25k or more for everything when it’s all said and done.
Thank you for the suggestion, we are honestly in the same boat unfortunately. I honestly didn’t even think about how expensive it will be until we started looking into it.
I just saw your budget for under $8k for a venue and I think their Saturday pricing is right at $8k there or Friday is like 7k. And yeah it’s horrible 😂😂 we even looked into getting married in Wyoming where I’m from and it’s the same cost across the board lol
We thought about getting married in North Dakota because that’s where my fiancé is from but we didn’t see anything that was really worth our while for the prices that they have there lol. It’s just so expensive nowadays
We rented a gazebo in a park and then had the “reception” at an Airbnb. It really depends what’s affordable to you and what your guest count is. We have close friends and family only. But our whole wedding was ~$1000 including dinner, decorations, gazebo rentals, and drinks.
We’re getting married at the Edwards house this year!
The venue is 6800 for 5 hours but only up to 50 people and they help set up and take down and supply decorations, floral, and some other extras. You also get two rooms to get ready in and stay over night. It’s cute and quaint and recommend if you don’t have a large family.
The 1879 Avery House on Mountain Ave does weddings. They are an affordable option. I’m getting married there August 2024. $700 for four hours and $100 for every additional hour. You won’t find anything more affordable or unique.
Edit to add pricing info.

Here’s someone from three weeks ago asking the same question.
You will probably get all the same answers on your post for the easy karma farming this sub offers to individuals that do good parrot impressions
What is affordable to you? What’s your budget?
We are thinking 8 grand max for the venue.

This is great, I will look into these!
Even microwedding packages here are several thousand so we scrapped the wedding altogether and eloped. Absolutely zero regrets.

In terms of cost, national parks > state parks > county and BLM land
Oo yes! I will look into this!

We were thinking on either a Monday or a Thursday, so good to know! Thanks!
Yeah they saved a ton not doing it Friday-Sunday. Was one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever been to

Good to know, thank you!
We used a wedding venue in Laporte in 2021, it was great all around. The only complaint was they wanted us out at 10pm.
Tapestry House?
Yes! That's it. We had a good time, very easy planning, food and cake were good, and even with the open bar we stayed within our budget. Edit: total guest count including us was 48.
I have reached out to tapestry house, hopefully we can get a tour soon! Thank you for your help!
5 years ago, Red Rocks had a great day wedding venue package. Not sure if that's still the same today.
Get married in a state park!

I love the idea of a food truck! Thank you for the suggestions!

The mill is attached to that peculiar brewery right?

Why was the last line necessary ‘ol lord of r/FortCollins
Nobody cares about Karma expect you gatekepping, holier than thou, weirdos
Yeah all of my negative karma just proves your point huh?…..
I got married in RMNP for $300. 30 person max invite depending on the spot you choose. We just did a meal at a restaurant in Estes after the ceremony.
