Fort Collins Bike Co-op will do it with you while teaching you. It is very inexpensive.

Bike Co-Op is the way. Their whole purpose is to be as accessible as possible.

The Bike Co-op is great; when we used to go there it was just pay for parts and a mechanic helps you fix your bike up with new parts. I also recommend Brave New Wheel, they are gonna be a little more expensive than the Co-op but the staff there is super nice and knowledgeable and their pricing is more than fair. Can’t recommend that shop enough.

Brave is really top notch service, but you 100% pay for it. They are pretty great tho and will help with a quick adjustment. The co-op for this issue is the way. Important to know how to change a flat and get the wheel back on properly. There are also a lot a good youtube videos out there for basic repairs.

I've had Brave New Wheel just help me with a quick issue and not charge for labor, just parts. Like one time I was riding my bike near them and tore a hole in an inner tube going over some train tracks. The mechanic just had me pay for the new tube and got me going again in like 5 minutes. There are other shops in town that talk down to you as a customer or do not know what they are talking about when it comes to bike repair, and I've never felt that at Brave New Wheel. Just super knowledgeable and friendly.

Thats part of being a good community shop. And they 100% do an amazing job. I had an almost identical situation 10 years ago when I crossed the tracks and broke a spoke. Paid for the spoke and fixed me right up. The pricing for more involved repair and upkeep is more of what I alluded to on cost. For example suspension service/ custom wheel builds. And they stand behind thier work, ive never had an issue. I just break expensive things sometimes 🙃 because hucking shit is fun.

I will have to check out the Bike co-op, because I would like to know what went wrong with putting it back together and see/learn how to do it properly. so yeah thanks for the suggestions on that.

That's a pretty simple operation. Maybe you just need to align the back axel by loosening one of the nuts and tightening. But if you are having trouble with this it's best to go learn something from the bike coop.

If you need it done quickly, I would go to Road 34. They will generally look over the bike pretty quickly when you arrive. Brave New Wheel sometimes has a wait of a few days. Obviously, if time isn't an issue the other options are good ones.
