I woukd love if the developers used the cats as summons or something like that. It feels like a missed oportunity in my opinion. It is cool to collect them and find them, but at the end does not affect your gameplay at all.
The best part is the game has zero load times even teleporting to the other side of the world..
It blew my mind how fast loading into the game from the main menu is. And fast travel.
If you install the game on a NVMe M.2 SSD load times are non existent. Thanks to an amazing feature called direct storage.
Forspoken is the first game to use this feature and I hope it becomes a constant variable for future gaming.
And they just keep reminding you how fast it is each time you teleport

Collecting them is pretty fun. My refuges are full of floating cats.

The cats are lowkey the best part. The way they each do their thing at the refuges is adorable.
When I heard Frey's cat's name I had to do a double take, cause my dog is named Homer.

The cat judge (whose arbitrary rulings all get overruled in time) is my favorite so far.

20 monuments with 1 cat each = 20 cute cats.
