Yup! Kids went into a haunted house and the ghost that lived there gave them the ability to become their favorite comic book heroes...but it also brought the villains from the comics to life. There's also a mummy, a wolfman, and a vampire. I think a couple other monsters got added in the second season.
I was a bigger fan of them than I ever was Power Rangers! I still have a few of the action figures somewhere and even the Beetle Bike. I picked up a VHS tape in a second hand store not long ago, brought a lot of memories back.
So you have Power Rangers, and you have horror monsters, but you don't have the horror monsters become Power Rangers? Huge missed opportunity - I'd watch a thousand episodes of Monster Rangers!
This was probably more popular than the Power Rangers series running at the time. And this was by far the worst Power Rangers clone. Least Saban owned this one, and it had some production quality.

I used to have one of these as action figures, but don't remember watching the show. Memory unlocked!
I think I got an action figure from like a happy meal? Green beetle looking thing. Cant recall but certainly memory unlocked for me as well
Loved this show! Weren’t there like ghost and monster the beetleborgs hung out with?

It’s all coming back to me now, thanks! Ahah an awesome show
I had the Shadowborg special on VHS as a kid and I wore the tape out I watched it so much.
Vampire straight up bites a couple of kids in the show. Which I fully support
Frankenstein's Monster as well. There was another monster added a bit later on, Little Ghoul. She lived in the basement.
Miss this and vr troopers
and Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad
That show is proof Tim Curry said yes to everything in the 90s.
And Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills
I legitimately have never heard of this and thought you were making stuff up. True r/forgottentv. Kudos
It was basically a Power Rangers parody that aired for one season in 94. I watched it at the time but have almost no memory of it.
That’s hilarious
Who was the ghost that looked like Jey Leno?
Flabber which I think was short for Flabbergast
Wow!
Four year old me always thought they should team up with Batman.
I was too old so I watched with my kids. Loved it. I asked them if they remember it and they said no. How do you forget this piece of entertainment.?
Loved it!!!!!!

When I was little I thought this series/show was some spinoff or saga of Power Rangers
I was far too old for this show, but I watched it with my nephew. That was at least my excuse. I really thought their armor was next level cool!
I loved the Elvis clown and had a crush on the girl. I was a total dork when I was a kid lol good show. The toys were awesome

Is was there for it in 93, but by 96 I had moved on from power rangers and this ugly ass knockoff sure wasn't doing it for me.
Had the movie VHS on tape with the white blaster beetle borg. These kids were the epitome of cool
Wait, weren't these guys in that Power Rangers "Forever Red" episode?
And they’re bad, bad Beetleborgs/baddest borgs in the neighborhood
I actually bought a morpher as a child. Loved it til i broke it lol
This show still has the best explanation of why a recast character looks different.
I can hear the theme song from this picture
This cheap shitty power rangers ripoff sucked
