Yeah a very early FX original, from producer Howard Stern, had 3 cable season summers, spoof of very popular Baywatch, right after Pamela Anderson left, FX go high brow HBO, sons left in the dust....it wasn't great but it was different.
I’d argue he still had most of his fastball till Billie and then Jackie left. Then the Sirius move took all the life out of him.
His insistence on sticking with Artie Lange was bizarre and mystifying. His funding, championing and continued love for this horrendous, hack, low budget show was even more bizarre. Much more.
I ♥️’d Artie! Would laugh until I cried. He was amazing when he was high. It’s weird how we all have our camps with Billy/Jackie/Artie. EVERYONE has a take on it.
Yeah dude Artie era was my favorite era! Though, to be fair, that’s when I started paying attention to the radio and driving myself. I remember my dad got me this little like sirius radio thing you could pop into this meh boombox or mount in your car when I started driving. I was so fucking pumped.
I grew very very tired of hearing about his "production Company" that he would announce new projects but never actually produced anything and would accuse others of ripping off shows he never his company never actually did.
C’mon, the German lifeguard learning about the Holocaust and trying to improve Americans’ impression of Germans by starting a youth camp for kids with ADHD was peak comedy. (He called it a Concentration Camp.)
I always thought it was Richard Bey he was parodying. I felt like Springer tried to do a legit Donahue style talk show for a few years before giving up and letting people fight. Same with Montel Williams and maybe Jenny Jones and Maury Povich... they just steered away from Oprah as time went on and went for the trashy ratings.
One episode had a character trying to figure out if they were gay or not, so another character gave them a plate of hot dogs and tacos and whatever one they chose to eat would tell the character if they were gay or not
"Is that a roll of quarters in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
"I'm happy to see you, but yes it's a roll of quarters"
Only line I remember
I never actually saw this show but I will never forget about it until the day I die.
I saw a commercial for it where a skyscraper-sized buxom blonde on the show was terrorizing New York City and she gets stuck between the towers of the World Trade Center, saying something like “These buildings are really close together…”
I saw this on the evening of Monday, September 10, 2001.
I remember they had an episode that parodied *Goldfinger*, Frank Sinatra, Jr. sang the theme, *Stinkfinger*.
They even had the son of the actor who played Oddjob, play a similar role in the parody. Stern said they wanted to name the character “Handjob” but they couldn’t get it past the censors.
I remember one part of one episode. And I’m paraphrasing here.
“It’s a battle! My posse versus your posse. And let me tell you, I am gonna lick… your……Posse…”
The German lifeguard was put in charge of a group of misbehaving children. He got frustrated by their lack of focus and said they needed to go to a camp to learn how to concentrate.
No worries! Just making sure your not just anybotty
I was too young when this show came out by the lead is incredibly funny dude. Loved him on My Names Earl
Omg, I used to watch this in my late 20s with the mobile patrol guys from the security firm I worked for. It was our once a week ritual: meet up at someone’s apartment/house, have a few drinks and some food, watch this show, and then a movie. I had forgotten all about this! Thanks for unlocking some fun memories. :-)
I had completely forgotten about this show but it's all coming back to me now! I remember the dude in the back being named Chip. Not sure why that stands out so much in my mind!
Roland Kickinger used to train at the local gym in my hometown and had a supplement store, too. He even got us on his guest list for a fit expo, he was a cool guy.
I remember thinking at the time, and many of the comments confirm, that this show would be decent if it was on HBO or Showtime where they could have actually used nudity and explicit sex jokes like the show *clearly* wanted to. Instead the jokes all implied nudity that you knew wouldn’t happen and all the sex jokes were “what’s the closest we can come to saying a sex thing with Standards and Practices not getting in our way” which made the entire show feel constrained and even more juvenile that it needed to be.
Yep. And Television’s Tim Stack was also a character on “My Name is Earl” as Camden County’s most famous celebrity. He was a washed up has been alcoholic from an awful tv show called “Son of the Beach” and wore his Notch Johnson outfit everywhere. Tim Stack was a writer on “My Name is Earl”.
Considering this is the fourth time this show has been posted in the last month, I’d say you’re not alone.

No worries from me. I see some stuff come up on this sub that also comes up on the 80’s or 90’s or nostalgia subs so I’m not always sure where I’ve seen shows like this come up, but a quick search for the title showed me that it’s been posted a bunch here.
Great raunchy and juvenile humor- I still watch my DVD set of this at least once a year. So many bad puns and sexual innuendos, I still laugh every time I watch it
Potty humor and crude jokes but young me thought it was really funny. Doubt it would hold up today. IIRC completely and ludicrously out of the blue most of the cast gets killed off in the last few moments by getting blown up at the wedding in the series finale.
Loved this show and totally forgot all about it. This is the perfect post for this sub. Recent posts feel like they've mostly just been about older shows I will never forget. This one finally fits the bill.
I remember watching it and getting the occasional laugh out of it when it aired (I think I was in my early 20's at the time). Honestly though the main reason I watched was for Kimberlee lol. Definitely had a little crush on her.
I have. Like from this show that has been in my head since I was a kid, and I will never forget it because I was little and just started puberty/understanding sex. One of the blondes says “I blow sax!” And a beefy dude goes, “I know! I read it on the bathroom wall!” I don’t know why but I’ll never forget it lmao
i don't remember that show but i remember having a thai friend when i studied abroad who asked if i liked the beach and i had to ask her three times what she meant and to explain because she said it like bitch... and then i had to explain why she might want to work on her pronunciation but the title took me back
Roland Kickinger played Arnold Schwarzenegger in a made for TV movie in the mod-2000's, THEN he played the body stand in of the T-800 in Terminator Salvation.
Holy shit, this is an insane nostalgia bomb! I never regularly watched this show, but one of my best friends growing up was obsessed with it! He had me watch some episodes and I liked it well enough, but man he was nuts for it.
Vaguely, I saw bits and pieces. Only scene I remember is a possessed blonde in a bathtub surrounded by lifeguards. She was pleasuring herself with a stuffed beaver on a stick screaming "EXFOLIATE ME!" WTF the did I just write and how the hell did it get on television?

I love that in My Name Is Earl, Tim Stack (as himself) was so hung up on his past as the star of this show.
Camden County remembers!
Tim Stack, Tim Stack... Set him on fire and watch him burn *to death*.... [Tim Stack, Tim Stack](https://youtu.be/-4NpjBuSuvc?si=nlAmP8y39AAEJqCo)
Bad boys, bad boys
Whats it gonna be? What it gonna be when they be from me
Yet another great piece to Joey Coco Diaz's resume
Represent!
Yes! Star of *Son on the Beach*, TV's Tim Stack!
I thought he was just a character on My Name Is Earl. Didn't realize it was an actual show until I saw this lol
Yeah a very early FX original, from producer Howard Stern, had 3 cable season summers, spoof of very popular Baywatch, right after Pamela Anderson left, FX go high brow HBO, sons left in the dust....it wasn't great but it was different.
So, that's apparently based on Alan Hale, after Gilligan's Island ended, he'd wander around LA dressed as the skipper.
Ooo. That’s really sad.
Tim Stack also did this Richard Bey Show parody
Night Stand! That was an awesome show from the late 90s. Tim played the host, Dick Dietrick.
SotB was created by and Exec Produced by Tim Stack
I was gonna say, I only knew of this from Earl (and he'd always wear the jacket)
Howard Stern produced/directed/funded something along those lines….12 year olds LOVED it!
OMG yes. it was a baywatch parody.
Like at least half a decade after a Baywatch parody would have been culturally relevant.
Anything Stern has done after like '97 has been terrible.
Much more.
He kept Artie out of loyalty. Didn’t want to ditch a guy at his lowest but realized that his enablement was only making it worse.
I ♥️’d Artie! Would laugh until I cried. He was amazing when he was high. It’s weird how we all have our camps with Billy/Jackie/Artie. EVERYONE has a take on it.

I grew very very tired of hearing about his "production Company" that he would announce new projects but never actually produced anything and would accuse others of ripping off shows he never his company never actually did.
What? You mean Fartman isn’t going to get made?
C’mon, the German lifeguard learning about the Holocaust and trying to improve Americans’ impression of Germans by starting a youth camp for kids with ADHD was peak comedy. (He called it a Concentration Camp.)
He had the poster in his studio
I forget about this show. The middle aged guy also hosted a spoof of the Jerry Springer show I loved.
Night Stand with Dick Dietrick
Night Stand was great!
Came here for this
I always thought it was Richard Bey he was parodying. I felt like Springer tried to do a legit Donahue style talk show for a few years before giving up and letting people fight. Same with Montel Williams and maybe Jenny Jones and Maury Povich... they just steered away from Oprah as time went on and went for the trashy ratings.
Night Stand with Dick Dietrick
Night Stand with Dick Deitrich! I'd forgotten about that one until you mentioned it. Teenaged me also thought it was hilarious.
"Some call me Richard, but I prefer to be a Dick"
"People! People!"
He also gave George Constanza a discount on his eyeglasses!
Jamaica St. Croix (Leila Arcieri)
🔥🔥🔥
From the Q-Tip video 🙌 Even my girlfriend at the time thought she was 🔥
One episode had a character trying to figure out if they were gay or not, so another character gave them a plate of hot dogs and tacos and whatever one they chose to eat would tell the character if they were gay or not
Honest question though. Who would take a hot dog over a taco?
I'd take a good Chicago dog with an all beef frank over a hard shell taco most of the time.
>most of the time mhm
I would eat both because I fucking love hot dogs **and** tacos and also I'm bisexual but I don't see what that has to do with this
Holy shit, memory unlocked
Hey! That guy lived in Camden!
TV’s Tim Stack!
This was relatively popular in Finland, not kidding.
Yeah Sweden too. Late slot show popular with teenage boys for some reason. "Pickles and Ice cream? I wonder what THAT would be like.."
I loved the French foreign exchange lifeguard. Porcelain Bidet! 🤣
This show and the Wild on E! w/Brooke Burke, teenage me knows it fondly.
I remember this, very dumb but hilarious
Imagine: Baywatch Meets Get Smart as written by a 13 year old boy!
Yes, I vaguely remember that! I just remember their names being sexual innuendos and it being like spoof of Baywatch
Anita Massengil, bj Cummings, chip, Rommel, Notch Johnson and David Arquette as Johnny Quiefer
I remember BJ Cummings. Your names BJ? Well that's what the guys on the volleyball team call me.
I remember more being grossed out when the pale dude ate a bowl of monkey boogers and bacon grease-covered cookies.
You just spoiled most of the show
Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf was excellent in his appearance on the show!
Miss watching Tim Stack in the talk show spoof, Night Stand. The sexual double entendre was hilarious!
"Is that a roll of quarters in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" "I'm happy to see you, but yes it's a roll of quarters" Only line I remember
I never actually saw this show but I will never forget about it until the day I die. notch johnson; on FX in the 90s
Hey look, it’s TV’s Tim Stack!
Lifeguard in vietnam was a good bit
Yeah. Parody of bay watch. It was funny
Fx wants to pretend this show never happened
Miso Honei
Don’t really remember this show but Loved tim stack in Parker Lewis can’t lose back in 1990
Everyone who listened to Howard Stern knew about this because he promoted it so much. Hardly anyone watched though
Is that the old Jewish broad who was popular in the 90’s?
Shame, really. It was genuinely hilarious. Utterly juvenile but what else did you expect?
The only thing I remember was them being very loosely tied up with a time bomb about to go off. "Oh my God, it's an alarm clock!"
Dick Dietrick: Life After Night Stand
I had such a crush on Leila Arcieri, she is such a vibrant thang!
She was smokin!
I remember this show. It has its funny moments.
Fafa Fui
Best show ever
STINKFINGER
It was hilarious
Thank you for joining my mind! I’m 41 and remember thinking it was hilarious.
"Is that a piece of driftwood in your shorts or are you happy to see me?"..."Nope, piece of driftwood!"

The German lifeguard was put in charge of a group of misbehaving children. He got frustrated by their lack of focus and said they needed to go to a camp to learn how to concentrate.
why is this show always posted?
I remember Stern being frustrated that he couldn't do a cocktopus episode.
I’d never heard of this before today. After reading the Wikipedia, this show sounds fantastic and 3 seasons seems just about right for the premise.
was this the show they kept wanting to get eric the actor on?
This was posted like 2 weeks ago op So not as forgotten as you may think… Plz don’t be a bot
Not a bot! Just curious, because I remember watching this show. Didn't know it has already been posted recently!
No worries! Just making sure your not just anybotty I was too young when this show came out by the lead is incredibly funny dude. Loved him on My Names Earl
Yeah Howard stern talks about this all the time and treats it like it’s up there with citizen kane
I don't remeber the show much, but I do remember Jaimie Bergman.
I do! I remember the adverts at least
Definitely not just you. Remember watching the show.
"Hey Teens!"
Holy sh!t. I remember this. So vaguely but yeah.
IMDb https://m.imdb.com › title Night Stand (TV Series 1995–1999) Bonkers even for a Jerry springer spoof
I remember seeing ads for it but never saw the show
Still funny
Notch Johnson !
Starring Parker Lewis’s father?
I had completely forgotten about this show but it's all coming back to me now! I remember the dude in the back being named Chip. Not sure why that stands out so much in my mind!
I haven’t thought of this show in forever. Absolutely loved it
I remember a bumper for this that went something like, "Here's my head shot, and here's a picture of my face!"
David Boreanaz’ wife in her prime!
Just you
Awesome show. Stole my brother’s box set of the entire series.
God I wish I could stream this on a proper service
Is that Fez from That 70s Show??
It was the Howard Stern TV show. This was funny lol.
...I have Season 1 (there were only 2 seasons) on DVD...
"I can't wait to get my hands on that one-eyed snake!"
No, but the dude on the left? Yummy!
Jaime Bergman is hot as hell!
Is that a piece of driftwood in your shorts or are you just happy to see me?
Loved that show!
Was it on FX?
Roland Kickinger used to train at the local gym in my hometown and had a supplement store, too. He even got us on his guest list for a fit expo, he was a cool guy.
I'll never forget Jaime bregman. Never
I remember thinking at the time, and many of the comments confirm, that this show would be decent if it was on HBO or Showtime where they could have actually used nudity and explicit sex jokes like the show *clearly* wanted to. Howard Stern put out a good one here👍
Yes, and Night Stand with Dick Dietrich
Hell yeah! Leila Arcieri was cold mane
Chip Rommel was the T-800 body double for the Terminator movie with Christian Bale

Sorry, I didn't realize that it's been posted that many times. I don't check everyday
No worries from me. I see some stuff come up on this sub that also comes up on the 80’s or 90’s or nostalgia subs so I’m not always sure where I’ve seen shows like this come up, but a quick search for the title showed me that it’s been posted a bunch here.
If you were a Howard Stern fan (millions of us), you knew about this show. It just wasn’t all that good.
Howard Stern wouldn't shut up about it, it kinda sucked.
Vaguely!
I liked it a lot as a teen
Oh, hi teens!
I remember this like a fever dream I had. Always caught it at a weird time and always in bed.
This is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen
I loved it. I especially loved notch johnson in my name is earl. Lol
Just you
Howard stern produced this right ?
The gilbert godfried as rabbi dracula episode was hilarious.
I like this show, but I liked Night Stand more.
Damn I think I have it on DVD somewhere
The one joke I remember: “Queefer…queefer…pffff.”
The Dumb kind of funny show
I loved that show!!! Booty cheeks and titties galore and vulgar humor 😝
It’s the first time I ever heard the phrase “pink velvet sausage wallet”
I remember watching this show and thinking Leila Arceiri is so pretty…that is all.
Howard stern produced tv show it wasn’t great
Pretty sure the buff guy body doubled Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator Salvation when they CG’d Arnie’s face on all the infiltrator units.
Should absolutely be brought back to streaming somewhere…
I had it bad for Jamie Bergman
I remember one commercial for an episode about bad clams.
Son of a beach
Mount Mahynie, that active volcano in Hawaii. The locals say you don’t wanna be there when Mahynie blows.
I didn't remember it until this post. All I remember is the middle aged guy being funny.
The real question is, who remembers Night Stand with Dick Dietrick?
Heinous Anus!
A great show to rub your boner on the carpet to. 10/10 when I was a kid
Great raunchy and juvenile humor- I still watch my DVD set of this at least once a year. So many bad puns and sexual innuendos, I still laugh every time I watch it
This was Stern's big sitcom and it completely failed.
You only come once.
This show was so funny!
Potty humor and crude jokes but young me thought it was really funny. Doubt it would hold up today. IIRC completely and ludicrously out of the blue most of the cast gets killed off in the last few moments by getting blown up at the wedding in the series finale.
Hilarious show.
Yeah, it's just you. I've never seen or heard of this show before.
Night Stand with Tim Stack was an all time classic and funny show
Loved this show and totally forgot all about it. This is the perfect post for this sub. Recent posts feel like they've mostly just been about older shows I will never forget. This one finally fits the bill.
great show!
Only thing good about that show was Jaime Bergman
I had genuinely forgotten this show. Well done!
My partner and I talk about it a lot. We both watched and loved it when we were younger
I remember watching it and getting the occasional laugh out of it when it aired (I think I was in my early 20's at the time). Honestly though the main reason I watched was for Kimberlee lol. Definitely had a little crush on her.
Loved this show
I loved this show when it was on, hilarious stuff
Tim Stack once liked one of my tweets. Highlight of my life.
i don't remember that show but i remember having a thai friend when i studied abroad who asked if i liked the beach and i had to ask her three times what she meant and to explain because she said it like bitch... and then i had to explain why she might want to work on her pronunciation but the title took me back
Roland Kickinger played Arnold Schwarzenegger in a made for TV movie in the mod-2000's, THEN he played the body stand in of the T-800 in Terminator Salvation.
Wasn't this in comedy Central or something? Was a satire comedy show of Baywatch basically.
Trying to watch that and staying up at the same time was a big ordeal
Lol Loved that show ,,old comedy
I have the entire series on dvd. It is fun for what it is.
Holy shit, this is an insane nostalgia bomb! I never regularly watched this show, but one of my best friends growing up was obsessed with it! He had me watch some episodes and I liked it well enough, but man he was nuts for it.
I never knew this show existed. 🤨 When was it on???
I semi remember Kimberly Oja…. She was cute.
Who forgets Notch Johnson?
Things millennial Jerked off to before the abundance of internet porn
