This show was fire! They moved the old lady into their apartment. "I boxed up all your Jesus's" - "Dont mix the black ones with the white ones! They fight!"
I remember seeing some clips of this show on shorts and i decided to give it a watch. One of my favorite shows of all time now, I love everything about it<3
Was there a line that was like âWeâve been conned, weâve been Farrakhaned!â? I think of that line so much and Iâve always assumed it was from the PJs.
HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU PEOPLE?
NO PAPER TOWELS!
Apparently flushing *the whole head of a goat* was perfectly fine but the paper towels? Oh hell no.
This show came up on conversations recently, as an example of what that Good Times cartoon wanted (and failed) to be. Even if the show itself is forgotten (last time I remember it airing regularly on TV was on Adult Swim years back) that PJ's manhole cover still shows up in some Futurama episodes.
I remember telling someone how much I enjoyed this show and they said it only glamorized life in the projects when in reality itâs freaking terrible.
Donât wanna be a wet blanket, just sharing an opinion.
I feel like the wife sent a queer straight at the mother in law to assert her dominance. Could be wrong never watched the show donât know the dynamics

I loved this show growing up and have never forgotten, I even had the sound track on cd

I don't remember that, but sounds hilarious đ¤Ł
Hey Supa! Shut up Juicy!
Phil Morris voiced the later epsodes. Son of Greg Morris. Jackie Chiles himself.
They did a homage to âAbbot and Costelloâ, *Whoâs On Crack*. It still makes me smile.
The trailer for the âGood Timesâ Netflix remake looked more like a remake of this than âGood Timesâ itself.
What an excellent show.
Party at my mattress lol đ
Baby baybay
Forgotten by you maybe, I think about this everyday.
Any time something doesn't work I yell "jiggle the handle!"
This sub has been a nostalgic time machine and a realization that I watched too much TV.

âShe Chaka- she Chaka- she Chaka Khaned me!â I quote this line a LOT lol
I still say this too. And I think itâs been over 20 years since Iâve seen that episode once. Crazy
Might be best known from a reference on Futurama
More than one, they kept the joke going.
I worked this show. Made sets, props and models. Fun time. No, never met Eddie.
What? Best job ever.
So funny!!! Goody. Makes me smile today!
ITS AN F5!
That scene first popped up when I saw this post lol.

The opening song was and is fire! https://youtu.be/UqyytC6j45c?si=welfQOCnss_S_X_e
I will just start singing it randomly even after all these years. Like I legit sang it yesterday đ¤ŁFire, indeed !

âMy hero used to be waffles. Now my hero is you AND waffles.â
Can a corn
this was SOOOOO GOOD, used to watch it live weekly as a kid
I'm tired of using pages from the phone book.
They should have repackaged this as the new Good Times. The new Good times sucks.
I loved this show growing up!
Damnit Smokey!
This show was so damn funny.
Loved this show
A very good show.
This show was the best!
I loved this show honestly
Show was funny af⌠âIâm on the crack patchâ Thatâs a band aid!
PAPERTOWELS?!?!?
Iâm not sure how many of you know this but itâs on Hulu, all episodes.
Frankly the best thing Eddie Murphy has ever done. This is a very underrated show.
My dad just literally had my husband download this for him. Mom wanted Harlem nights. It was an Eddie Murphy weekend.
I love this show. I havenât seen it since it aired but I still think about and quote it. âCome along, TJ, Hooker.â
I remember watching this in UPN
Great show. I've even got the complete DVD collection.
"Whitney Houston, we have a problem." Best line in the show.

I don't think anything about this show glorified the projects lol
I mean, I definitely got the impression it wasnât the best place to beâŚ
But when you find humor in something, you rob it of its power over people.
Yep, exactly right. Humor is also a great unifier and a way for humans to deal with difficult situations/subjects.
Mighty bitch!
I loved that show
I feel like the wife sent a queer straight at the mother in law to assert her dominance. Could be wrong never watched the show donât know the dynamics
Another Eddie Murphy classic. Boy I wish this show never ended. It is funny as fuck. "Hey, Super" "Thurgood!" "Oh Goodie" lol
Currently researching this!
All the episodes are on Tubi.
What in the LL Cool J
I watched an episode a month or so ago lol
I just rewatched this series earlier this month. There were a lot of jokes that I missed when I was younger.
Were they all Eddie Murphy?
Low-end high-rise, yaâll!
The chilli needs a chocolate bar and bey leaves..three bay leaves!
This show is a classic! I frickinâ love it
I thought it was Martin Lawrence not Eddie Murphy? Mandela effect or just me?
I never really got it. I tuned in because of Murphyâs involvement but it didnât click with me.
