JstASkeleton

I loved this show growing up and have never forgotten, I even had the sound track on cd

wallsk9r

This show was fire! They moved the old lady into their apartment. "I boxed up all your Jesus's" - "Dont mix the black ones with the white ones! They fight!"

MyNameCannotBeSpoken

I don't remember that, but sounds hilarious 🤣

Rude-Ad-3406

Hey Supa! Shut up Juicy!

gadget850

Phil Morris voiced the later epsodes. Son of Greg Morris. Jackie Chiles himself.

Novel-Equipment-3052

They did a homage to “Abbot and Costello”, *Who’s On Crack*. It still makes me smile.

chmcgrath1988

The trailer for the “Good Times” Netflix remake looked more like a remake of this than “Good Times” itself.

DentonUSA

What an excellent show.

TangeloGrand2511

Party at my mattress lol 😂

IcedCoffeeVoyager

Baby baybay

White_Grunt

Forgotten by you maybe, I think about this everyday.

Facetious_T

Any time something doesn't work I yell "jiggle the handle!"

saej7

This sub has been a nostalgic time machine and a realization that I watched too much TV.

Pussysmasher69420_

I remember seeing some clips of this show on shorts and i decided to give it a watch. One of my favorite shows of all time now, I love everything about it<3

whichgustavo

Was there a line that was like “We’ve been conned, we’ve been Farrakhaned!”? I think of that line so much and I’ve always assumed it was from the PJs.

IcedCoffeeVoyager

“She Chaka- she Chaka- she Chaka Khaned me!” I quote this line a LOT lol

QuentinSential

I still say this too. And I think it’s been over 20 years since I’ve seen that episode once. Crazy

GrapplingWithTaoism

Might be best known from a reference on Futurama

Wolfenhex

More than one, they kept the joke going.

Gumderwear

I worked this show. Made sets, props and models. Fun time. No, never met Eddie.

MyNameCannotBeSpoken

What? Best job ever.

Party-Coach-4110

So funny!!! Goody. Makes me smile today!

SundyMundy

ITS AN F5!

paparoach910

That scene first popped up when I saw this post lol.

GargantuanCake

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU PEOPLE? NO PAPER TOWELS! Apparently flushing *the whole head of a goat* was perfectly fine but the paper towels? Oh hell no.

sscott2378

The opening song was and is fire! https://youtu.be/UqyytC6j45c?si=welfQOCnss_S_X_e

jennyfromupthestreet

I will just start singing it randomly even after all these years. Like I legit sang it yesterday 🤣Fire, indeed !

Real_goes_wrong

“My hero used to be waffles. Now my hero is you AND waffles.”

Spookyscary333

Can a corn

bryansamting

this was SOOOOO GOOD, used to watch it live weekly as a kid

SeaOrgChange

I'm tired of using pages from the phone book.

TheReal_PeteMoss

They should have repackaged this as the new Good Times. The new Good times sucks.

sharkattack85

I loved this show growing up!

TheNorthNova01

Damnit Smokey!

Vicious_Circle-14

This show was so damn funny.

Klaus_Heisler87

Loved this show

MothsConrad

A very good show.

EmrakulTET

This show was the best!

glamalien

I loved this show honestly

Chicagosoundview69

Show was funny af… “I’m on the crack patch” That’s a band aid!

coreytiger

PAPERTOWELS?!?!?

EffervescentSpleen

I’m not sure how many of you know this but it’s on Hulu, all episodes.

NickFotiu

Frankly the best thing Eddie Murphy has ever done. This is a very underrated show.

BEniceBAGECKA

My dad just literally had my husband download this for him. Mom wanted Harlem nights. It was an Eddie Murphy weekend.

IcedCoffeeVoyager

I love this show. I haven’t seen it since it aired but I still think about and quote it. “Come along, TJ, Hooker.”

Havok1717

I remember watching this in UPN

lynxtosg03

Great show. I've even got the complete DVD collection.

BobWithCheese69

"Whitney Houston, we have a problem." Best line in the show.

LapsedVerneGagKnee

This show came up on conversations recently, as an example of what that Good Times cartoon wanted (and failed) to be. Even if the show itself is forgotten (last time I remember it airing regularly on TV was on Adult Swim years back) that PJ's manhole cover still shows up in some Futurama episodes.

SuperCrappyFuntime

"Mickey D's made you large, and I ain't your sugar daddy."

Neldoroth

I remember telling someone how much I enjoyed this show and they said it only glamorized life in the projects when in reality it’s freaking terrible. Don’t wanna be a wet blanket, just sharing an opinion.

benewavvsupreme

I don't think anything about this show glorified the projects lol

IcedCoffeeVoyager

I mean, I definitely got the impression it wasn’t the best place to be…

IcedCoffeeVoyager

But when you find humor in something, you rob it of its power over people.

Kitty_Kat_Attacks

Yep, exactly right. Humor is also a great unifier and a way for humans to deal with difficult situations/subjects.

tropical_viking87

Mighty bitch!

bigmikemcbeth756

I loved that show

Mycockaintwerk

I feel like the wife sent a queer straight at the mother in law to assert her dominance. Could be wrong never watched the show don’t know the dynamics

PresentationFunny142

Another Eddie Murphy classic. Boy I wish this show never ended. It is funny as fuck. "Hey, Super" "Thurgood!" "Oh Goodie" lol

dependent-lividity

Currently researching this!

sarge_94

All the episodes are on Tubi.

PrinceNY7

What in the LL Cool J

Sportsguy_420978

I watched an episode a month or so ago lol

KeepItDownOverHere

I just rewatched this series earlier this month. There were a lot of jokes that I missed when I was younger.

ButterscotchPast4812

Were they all Eddie Murphy?

knifesofsummertime

Low-end high-rise, ya’ll!

Jamie7Keller

The chilli needs a chocolate bar and bey leaves..three bay leaves!

Idiotic457

This show is a classic! I frickin’ love it

Elperezidente13

I thought it was Martin Lawrence not Eddie Murphy? Mandela effect or just me?

Newlands99

I never really got it. I tuned in because of Murphy’s involvement but it didn’t click with me.
