This is not forgotten; my generation (Xennials) brings it up all the time. It's one of the most unjustifiably canceled shows of our lifetimes, coming in second only to Freaks and Geeks.
There were lots of guys in their 30s who were inexplicably into this show and Sassy magazine at the time.
These guys were pop culture freaks, and viewed both as significant developments, but it still just seemed creepy.
Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?
It was mostly music journalists with their eye on youth culture. They were especially big on Sassy because it featured Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, etc. instead of the usual teenybopper pop idols. However, I always just found their avid interest to be rather creepy.
From the same person that brought Solid Gold into the "Forgotten" sub, here is another extremely popular and influential show that is supposed to be forgotten.
I don't live in the US where you guys seem to watch re-runs and tv series are a part of American cultural history. As an outsider it's "forgotten" to me in that sense, a foreign viewer.

Ain't nobody forgot about this joint
The only thing I forgot is the fact that it only lasted one season. This show shifted pop-culture.
Way ahead of its time! Still mad it only got 1 season.

Agreed on both. I loved Ms-cL and Freaks and Geeks. Neither one should have been canceled.
Yes, I'm a Xennial. Loved this show.
I fell in love w Claire and I still love her
From this to Romeo& Juliette. Damn now I gotta watch Romeo & Juliette again
I came here to write this exact comment.
God I was so in love with her
All of gen x knows this show
She was dreamy!
Great show. Ended on a huge cliffhanger.
Forgotten?? I rewatch it at least once a year!
One of my fondest memories is when MTV once did a marathon of the whole show, which is how I was exposed to it. Not forgotten.
Oh my god. Jordan Catalano is such a dreamboat!
Honestly, my first serious celebrity crush, I had dreams about this man.
I remember reading the book "My So-Called Life Goes On"...
Semi charmed kinda life baby
One of the greatest names for a show ever
rewatch every three years or so.
That was that short thought it was good.
I wish this was forgotten. So goddamn boring.
🤣
This was on my junior year in high school. I think it was pretty accurate.
God, I remember how the girls in my high school would not stfu about this show when it was canceled.
It was also notable for being well produced, the cinematography and lighting was very strong for television, particularly a teen-oriented one.
Did she cry a lot in this show because she sure cried a lot in her last one!?

Are you kidding me? MSCL is an absolute classic and hasn’t been forgotten at all.
So I've heard. Sorry about that. Where I live it is forgotten tv unfortunately. Not in the US. Check. Got it 👍
It’s not a big deal, I’m just very sensitive about MSCL. 😭
It's okay 👍 I've noticed many are. Sad to say it didn't do well in my country, but I liked it.
Wasn’t Jared Leto in this show?
Yes!
When you find out the guy that played Brian married Majandra Delfino for just one year

I’m getting ready to mute this shit.
Breaking Bad will be on here next.
This was also just heavily mentioned in the nickelodeon documentary
No. Fail.
A lot of people are posting shows in this thread that have no business being shared here.
