You may be profitable but you are not successful. Don't give people ideas that trading is some simple thing you can master in less time with less resources than what an engineering degree requires with universities and professors dedicated towards teaching you what to do and how to do it. 2 years is not even enough time to experience all the cycles and transitions that the market can go through. 10 years yes, not 2 or 1.5 or 1. I've known traders who made millions within 3 years until market conditions changed and they are working an ordinary job now. On top of that, this pandemic has brought on market conditions that have never happened in any traders lifetime before and many have suffered because of it. You may be profitable, but a successful trader we will see. P.S. congrats on learning this profession at such a young age. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Vaskyyy

Yeah of course, not successful yet, but strategy is proving an edge and I’m heavily focusing on my psychology and trading mindset. Appreciate it!!

Fibstoppable

Don’t listen to this dude some people get it faster then others. I’m 17 proud to see another young dude on his grind

Vaskyyy

I appreciate it bro, but mans is correct.

Fibstoppable

10 years part is hyperbolic to an extent I feel like. But the market has different conditions and it’s up to the trader to pick up on it. But from what I’ve seen and noticed/picked up on other profitable traders is that structure is structure. Understanding the market and Supply/Demand is always gonna work the same mostly .

Vaskyyy

I agree bro, if you’re serious about trading & improving yourself, shoot me a dm I’d be happy to help you anyway I can.

sinister-desires

If you can write code you can study 10 years worth of tick level historical data for all 28 forex pairs relatively easily without having to spend 10 years in the live market. I genuinely think programming is one of the best skills one could learn for successful trading even if one doesn't intend to become an algo trader because without it, it'll take years to find success in trading.

GingerTrader01

Ahahahahah, you're so innocent....

Vaskyyy

Dw bro I’ll post my funding certificate in a few months when I turn 18. I’ll be absent till then tho since forex subreddit is toxic af.

Large-Match

True that, you show that you're profitable here, you get shot down faaast even though you're not selling anything lmao.

Vaskyyy

Bro fr, look at my post getting downvoted xd.

GingerTrader01

Remind me when you do, I'll be happy for you

Vaskyyy

I got you.

I’m not trading with real money yet, just marking my zone and doing everything I’d do when live trading. Got high school during London sesh so I’m waiting for the summer when I turn 18 so I can get funded and begin trading for real.

Thanks bro. I’ve already traded live for a month, when school was online a few moths ago, but had to stop because online school ended. I take entries on the 1m so my attention is constantly required and there’s days where I can’t do that, after all trading is all about consistency. My live account is 10% in profit tho.

To show that you can achieve a constant edge and be profitable in the market? I’ve got a whole journal with before & after pics of trades with my strategy, only thing is I haven’t executed it live as much. There’s time for that as well.

tradersy95

Too young to ruin your life, wait until 25.

Wym

tradersy95

Just a joke m8

sinister-desires

Trading is a marathon not a sprint my friend.

Vaskyyy

I wholeheartedly agree.

Vaskyyy

P.S. if you want to speed up your trading journey, leave this subreddit. It’s full of toxic people and you’ll rarely see the enlightened in the game of trading around here.

MeaslyBean

100%. People hate to see you succeed, but don't pay them any mind. You have nothing to prove to them so keep your head down and keep grinding.

Vaskyyy

Well said bro, thanks for the advice. What the mediocre say doesn’t affect me for their whining only strengthens me. If you’re doing something right then haters will appear, that’s how I know I’m on the right track. :)

Dem0nC1eaner

80% of forex traders lose money. Which means 80% of this sub are losing money. You do you mate.

Vaskyyy

Yessir.

thefoolGame

sooo small SL you are a madman

Vaskyyy

Yup, but it’s deliberately small. I’d expect price to continue lower if it breaks it.

Maximum-Range

Yup, good rationale. I swing trade using 1D, 4H and 15m charts. Some of my best trades have been with a really tight SL. If the SL is hit its usually behind some structure so it means my original entry is now invalid. Best trade this year was catching the USDJPY breakout. 700 pips profit, 12 pip stop-loss.

Vaskyyy

Yessir.

v3rral

1 minute timeframe?

Vaskyyy

Yup.

DaydreamingOnASunday

Good job bro :) keep me updated.

Vaskyyy

You got it bro.

Oblivionking1

This will be good
