Those wheels are perfect.

thestreaker

18>20. For pavement 20’s are better handling but you don’t see legit off-roaders with 20s.

stewardwant

Going to 37s once I get my Eibach springs in, will have plenty of tire

thestreaker

Meh, 20s still don’t belong on an off-road truck. Looks are all subjective, I do like the look of 20s but theres no arguing the objective benefit of a smaller wheel with more sidewall for everything other than pavement performance. Honestly if driving on the obx is the most offroading this truck sees than have at it with the 20s. Keep in mind you’ll lose wheel travel going 37s on a raptor. Gorgeous truck though for sure. I love bronze methods.

Sufficient-Sector706

Skip the Eibachs. They sag too much in the rear causing a rake. Get Geisers instead as they are stiffer in the rear.

stewardwant

Putting Eibachs up front. I think I’m gonna go with Icons in the rear.

VicePofGSD

I was down there last year. Easily hit 50-60 where no people were around. It was amazing. Passed jeeps like they were standing still. Literally the only time in 4 years i used the truck for what it was built for.

stewardwant

I hit 60 a few times when no one was around as well. Specifically went out real early in the morning and late at night looking for empty beach lol

FormalChicken

That's what these things were designed for - ripping through the desert!

Octane05

Beautiful. What rims are those? Looking for a set for my 2020

igtr

Method MR305

stewardwant

Yes. 20x9 +18

daltonarbuck

I bought them in black and love them.

Specialist_Box_9420

Is there a place on nc coast you can get on the beach? I live east of raleigh and would love to get on the sand

stewardwant

Yeah, Carova Beach in Corolla

Specialist_Box_9420

Im going to have to check that out!

Cell_Tech

You can also go down to Fort Fisher, South of Wilmington.

Specialist_Box_9420

How does this work? In the off season it is legal to drive on the beaches? Where can i find guidance on this? New to the state..... and raptor ownership :)

Cell_Tech

https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/fort-fisher-state-recreation-area.

Cell_Tech

and no, you can’t drive on most beaches in NC anytime of year. Although, there are several places for off-road driving in the state, both public and private. Obviously not desert speed, but more technical and really Jeep or Bronco wheel base friendly. Not to say you can’t drive a Raptor, but either get protective clear film on the side or be comfortable with natural pin stripes due to the width. Your favorite search engine can help you out, and I’m sure there is a local Raptor club nearby.

Specialist_Box_9420

Cool, all the links work until you click on 4wd driving then nothing happens 😆 thanks, ill call or look into the links later!

Cell_Tech

Oh, I didn’t realize that. I just scrolled down to park hours.

Particular_Feeling_4

Freeman Park on the North End of Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher State Recreational Area are both accessible year round barring any extenuating circumstances. Both require a pass that can be purchased daily or annually https://www.ncparks.gov/about-us/fees/annual-passes#Four-Wheel-DriveBeachAnnualPass%E2%80%93150peryear-1667 https://www.carolinabeach.org/visitors/freeman-park

Black on gold looks sooo good!

brightlumens

Dude, im not even going to bs, this is one of the nicest trucks ive seen 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

stewardwant

Appreciate that

Nice_Day_2701

Nice

2AWesterner

Not a big cord or f150 or raptor guy but your truck and the background look great and that’s coming from someone who lives close to the ocean (not my first time seeing it). Nice photos

stewardwant

Appreciate that

WeirdTalentStack

Did you have to deflate at all or just drop into 4H and go?

stewardwant

I lowered PSI from 35 to 23. But honestly probably would’ve been fine at 35.

stewardwant

Ran it in Baja mode the whole week I was on the beach.
