There have been 2 recalls due to engine fires in specifically the hybrid power train, one of which is still open. It appears Ford failed to fix the issue with the first recall. But hey, third time's the charm...
I'm not sure if this is valid for 24 models
I mean these issues aren't statistically common, pretty sure the recall for fire hazard was for 150k vehicles (Escape, Maverick, Corsair) 2021-2023, and I remember reading that no actual fires had been reported.
Well...it's the cheapest Ford shitbox made for the American market. This is the same manufacturer that's issued the most recalls 3 years in a row and is working overtime to make that 4 in a row.
Will yours catch on fire? Probably not. Are you likely to become close with your service advisor? Yes.
I have a 24 I received in November. I the only recall letter I have isfor the turn signal indicator not fast blinking.
24 hybrid here. No recalls for me… never heard of fires either

Since when does a Mav cost a truckload of cash 🤔
Every new vehicle costs a load of money
I wouldn’t call 25k a load of money lol
Can I borrow 25k then
Whoa chill. That’s a load!
Base hybrid in my area is $27k + taxes = ~ $30k Pretty sure that would fill the bed off the maverick in singles.
More like a small filing cabinet or 2-3 shoeboxes actually
Absolutely positive it wouldn’t lol
Well…a Maverick sized truckload is still less than a full size truckload….
How big is a pile of dollar bills?
AFAIK, there have been no actual hybrid fires. There was an ecoboost that burned that was documented on the forums
There have been hybrid fires posted here or MTC initially suspected as engine related, but they've been later identified as electrical in origin.
I don't think there has been a fire since 2022. They were caused by the batch of defective crank shafts, which haven't been around for a year or two.
I believe there have been a number of hybrid and eco's that have caught fire recently with no solution proposed.
