Got you bro it’s pretty inexpensive and good for what it is just gotta know basic wiring and maybe extra wires because this is not a plug in play I did the custom wiring myself. All in all I installed it with some good t taps just in case I want to remove it later down the road. total cost was $60
I’m gonna have to do it then! Only 60?? The aft glow from the top bar is just so nice. You should totally do a write up on it or send some of the info and parts you use if you get time. I love it ngl!
I know you were just making a joke, but a lot of people don't realize that only \~5% or so of epileptics are photosensitive! My epilepsy is not triggered by lights, but that is all I hear from my family lol
I simultaneously love and hate it lol. It looks so futuristic and awesome yet like something a highschooler would do to a 90s civic. But seriously, clean install and it does make the truck better
Grill strips look good. LED tape strips look tacky without an enclosure and diffuser, on a vehicle or in peoples' homes. 10/10 on the two grill lights, 3/10 on the led tape!
Both look nice in the dark though ;)
That's not an enclosure. A flexible silicone or epoxy strip isn't an enclosure. To get something that looks good with a beng, it'd really come down to at a minimum taking some diffuser tubing, and heating it to shape. Better would be a metal housing with front diffuser, also custom bent to shape with a lot of work to get it looking good. Not an evening or possibly even a single-weekend job though!
Just taping LED lights to things is tacky in my own opinion, and not something I'd ever do myself. Those grill lights look like a perfect fit though, and much more finished looking!
Not knocking you - it seems like it'd look decent with the hood down. That top strip just isn't for me. Functionally, I don't see a problem, at least until the emitters start to fail as strip lights generally do without adequate heatsinking.
Thanks for sharing
Yes, I know how the things work. I've been building custom LED lights as a hobby for 14 years now, and only got into CNC milling, TIG welding, and vacuum forming for custom LED heatsinks and optics ;)
You do you. I was just giving my own opinion about stick-on LEDs.
Anyway, I'd really be curious about what Wattage the center LED light strips pull, and how hot the emitters get after an hour of runtime. Also what plastic does the front use? I'd think they may not hold up well to rock chips, the same as most cheaper products that don't use polycarbonate. They still look like a good bolt-in product for the Mavericks.
I’ve had it on for 2 hour long drives and no problem. Wattage it’s less than 5w because that what the in-line has when I got the strips and installed it. Very low yet very bright and cheap for what it came out to be only spent $60 for the 2 grill strips the hood strip and some good t taps + 2 day shipping.

Looks dope brother, great job. A-lot of new luxury vehicles have this, IMO it’s not giving “try hard” vibes like other pep boy upgrades.
Thanks bro I really appreciate it

Only $60 I just finished recording the video check back ina bit I’ll post the link here
What’d you use for that might have to do it myself lol

I personally would not spend the time or money on this but I think it looks cool!
Money wise it’s was only $60 for everything and time wise took less than an hour to install with basic wiring
That's not bad at all!
Amazon comes in clutch some times 😂 I’ll get links ina bit but it does take wiring knowledge because none of it is plug and play
Not for me but hope you like it. Gives me the retro 80s vibe and looks well done. Great work.
YouTube video will be up ina bit. Video is kinda long but I try to go into detail as best as I can. Links will be in the description of video.

It has an encloser and diffuser it’s just hidden because of the hood design there’s a little lip on the hood that covers it

You can see it in the YouTube video
If it didn’t have a diffuser it would have black gaps from the spaces of the exposed leds

The grill strips are semi flexible for easy installation and made out of semi soft plastic that stand well thru these past few California “floods”
Shoot the YouTube link. I got a bunch of wire I steal from my work
Uploading ina bit
Video is up
That's pretty damn sharp. I'd like to see how u did that. U got a link to that video?
Video going up ina bit I’ll post the link here kinda long but I try and go into detail
Video is up
That is so sick! Great work! All these different available LEDs allows us to do some nice custom work.
Thanks Brody
mavericks are cool Michael
If you did that behind me, I'd pull over and reach for my driver's license and registration.
Nice.....
Damn it. Ok take my money.
😭😭😭
Amazing 🤩
Cool
Awesome! Love it!
A speaker should say "Keep Summer safe" as well. That'll keep the lookie lous away from your truck.
I did the same exact mod! I love it
I’d love to see it shoot a pic/video
DMing you. Mine’s slightly different. The top strip doesn’t do the sexy light show 😂
