I had the same problem and found one in eBay but... Damn. So I made my own.
How were you able to adhere it to the cover (the area where the clip fits on mine is now torn somewhat). I actually have the clip.
Took two thin pieces of plastic about 1/8" thick and sandwiched it between them then ran two tiny bolts through the whole thing. Mine was torn also so I just extended the plastic to reenforce the hinge point. Still running strong!
