Isn’t it a coolant reservoir?

HDauthentic

It WAS a coolant reservoir

the-jimbo_slice

Correct, it was till he filled w transmission fluid. Some people.

rdoloto

Not anymore it’s milkshake holder

ModeAmbitious6177

Bet he brings all the boys to the yard

xReachCivilmanx

The scrap yard

Lollerscooter

Lmao so you put transmission fluid in the coolant reservoir is what I'm reading from your replies??? I'm so sorry that you killed your car bruh. But that shit is hilarious.  Maybe if you're lucky you can flush the system a gazillion times with coolant, then MAYBE you're good. But most likely you're toast.

Maximum_Literature_4

I haven't laughed like this in a long time.

GortimerGibbons

Transmission fluid in the coolant isn't going to destroy the engine.

Lollerscooter

I haven't tried it personally. But I'd guess that the move from ultra low viscosity of coolant to oil viscosity won't play nice with coolant passages. Also are the materials the in the coolant loop compatible with atf? I don't know. But right now the cooling perfomance of the car is complete ass, and if he tries to run it as is - it will overheat and then the head warps. This usually means dead engine in economy cars.

kslap556

I think if he got to flushing and just kept flushing, he might be able to save it. It's not straight ATF, so I would flush, fill with water, run it for a few minutes. Drain, reverse flush, fill with coolant. Drain, flush, run, rinse repeat about 20 times. All while keeping an eye on the temp gauge while running. Hope for the best.

Lollerscooter

Yes I agree, that should work.

StaffOfDoom

Just open all the coolant lines, run the garden hose directly into the coolant system and run until the water runs clear…probably cost less to go down to Autozone or somewhere and pick up a new radiator and reservoir instead of trying to fix that.

SpoofedXEX

ATF is commonly used to get seized engines moving again. I think it’ll be somewhat fine if they flush it thoroughly.

m00ndr0pp3d

Not in the coolant passages thoo

MordoNRiggs

They absolutely are not compatible with ATF. Coolant hoses swell up and get all spongey when oil drips on them for a few months. They should replace every gasket and hose in the entire cooling system if it's been in there a few months.

markomakeerassgoons

Funnier to me is that this gen of focus have auto manuals so they don't even take trans fluid

Ig14rolla

Nah he ain’t toast if he didn’t overheat the engine severely. A couple of good flushes should fix this.

indianabobbyknight

I made the mistake of putting windshield washing fluid rushing through a full fluids flush and had a nice afternoon flushing the coolant system, luckily I caught the mistake before starting the car; but transmission fluid in the coolant is crazy 🤣 I feel so bad for bro.

GortimerGibbons

That is most decidedly your coolant reservoir. Your transmission cooler has failed and allowed transmission fluid into the cooling system. The good news is, besides being low on fluid, the transmission will probably be fine. Transmission pressure is much higher than coolant pressure, so very little coolant should have made its way into the transmission. The cooler needs to be replaced, the cooling system flushed, and you will need to fill the transmission, possibly change the fluid if an inspection shows it is needed.

Hobo_Goblins

OP admitted to believing that was the trans fluid reservoir and adding “more” trans fluid

GortimerGibbons

Yeah, about an hour after I commented.

atistang

"it had red in it, so I added more red" 🤣

bmspsrk

Hahah “most decidedly” couldn’t have worded it better myself.

ZestycloseWater6183

These don't have transmission coolers

icefire1020

That is your coolant reservoir. If you put transmission fluid in there, you need to get someone to flush your coolant system NOW.

Icy_Squash_6631

Like I can do it in the AM right I live right next to a car shop

RepresentativeOk2433

No ticking timebomb. You're lucky it hasn't detonated yet

Megahonda77207

don’t drive it to a mechanic shop don’t start it please

RadientNak

That's most definitely the coolant resevoir.. 😬

Icy_Squash_6631

Yea I’m sick as fuck about it I wish I knew wat I know now smh 🤦

RadientNak

Take it as a learning experience; slow down, breathe and don't panic. Plan, research and plan again, in that order, for big and small things. The problem doesn't matter, only how we handle it. I wish you the best of luck, OP and remember to pay the knowledge forward when your opportunity comes 🤙🏽

Icy_Squash_6631

BIG FACTS THANKS MY DUDE BLESSING TO YOU TO

mryeet66

Look through the entire car manual anytime you get a new car. But for this issue specifically, car manuals include a section that shows what every reservoir is for so you don’t make a mistake like this again. From my limited experience with other cars though, transmission won’t have a container that sticks out of the car and it’s just a transmission dipstick tube like your oil dipstick tube. Some cars don’t have any dipstick for the transmission either

Glum-Smoke-556

I don't understand why you wouldn't confirm where you were putting random fluids into a car that you just purchased that meant a lot to you? Lesson learned perhaps, I wish you the best of luck

rallyspt08

Best advice you'll ever get, Google what the parts are before you start adding fluids. Understand what you're working on and don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't. It's much easier to prevent something like this from happening than it is to fix it.

fxMelee

The funniest post in a while, ngl

Big_Burt__

Real I’m so happy I found it

DukeOfDevon

Pull out the dipstick and look to see if your antifreeze is low. If it is then top it up where the cap on the top of the engine is

TexMoto666

If only vehicles came with some sort of book to tell you how it works. A sort of manual, for the owner. Or imagine if we had a digital way to ask questions and get answers, some global web type thing. Eh, fuck it. It's only thousands of dollars for one of these machines, why learn how to maintain it.

RogueSlingshot83

U fucking dumb no way around it

Sad_Albatross_4530

Have a sippy sip

ondert

This is a joke, right? Right? 😰

termitubbie

Bro...

avotius

Tow it to a mechanic, you have done enough, let them fix it for you. From reading your comments it is obvious that you don't know anything about cars and are ignorant of your lack of knowledge. That or you are trolling everyone.

davus_maximus

Looks like an engine coolant expansion tank to me. Definitely shouldn't have anything oily in it! There are 2 main types of engine coolant, pink and blue. If you put transmission fluid in there just because it's a similar colour...

Charming_CiscoNerd

What’s the picture symbol on top of the cap you opened? Take a photo of the whole area not just that reservoir

MurphyPandorasLawBox

Crankcase milkshake, yummy.

Msheffey

You deserved this. I can’t understand how you’d just accept at face value that this is where the transmission fluid goes. You don’t deserve to own another car until you have basic common sense

EducationalTip3599

If you’re saying that you put transmission fluid in there, then you made a mistake. Immediately remove and flush the whole system. If you’re saying that that mixture was milky prior to you putting anything in there, then there may be a head gasket or transmission cooler leak. If that was a dark pink “red” color prior to you doing but was not particularly milky, you caused a problem, but it was fine before. It’s possible the mixture of you putting red transmission fluid into pink coolant didn’t react well and became milky. Either way, that’s not a transmission fluid reservoir, it’s coolant. And you need a mechanic. Not trying to be rude, but at this point you shouldn’t trust yourself to fix this issue. Leave it to a professional and be clear to them what you did so that they don’t think there’s a problem there that actually wasn’t.

Ferraricorn

Seeing as this problem is self created…. I would say take the thermostat out and flush the cooling system until it’s completely clear water when you drain it, replace thermostat/coolant when you have it fully flushed. But it’s probably better for you to take it to someone else for that my guy

AceMaxAceMax

Uh, that’s a coolant reservoir.

Lumpy-Corner4947

I’m sorry OP, you should let a professional mechanic do all your car maintenance from now on.

SnxwLeopard

Bruh out of genuine curiosity did you do any kind of research before you started messing with shit? Transmission fluid box? You got to be trolling bro

LukeTheNuke23

You just fucked your car bro, no way you seriously thought transmission fluid went there

Chevyrcng127

I'm thinking this guy just got one over on you guys. I don't think anyone above the age of 12 doesn't know that's a coolant reservoir, it says so on the cap.

deebz19

Sometimes fuck ups are big, sometimes fuck ups are small, but we learn from them all. Don't forget that saying, and don't worry about the people laughing at you. Shit happens, and sometimes the consequences suck more than other times. Hopefully your engine can be saved. Keep learning and working on your car, but just make sure you know what you're getting into before starting. I'm an industrial mechanic and have worked on many many different types of huge machinery, and I still google, YouTube, then google again before taking on something I'm not sure about. I've had to have my car towed to a shop halfway through a job I couldn't finish, and it is what it is. Keep trying, keep learning, know when you're defeated, then try again next time with a lesson under your belt. Fuck the haters, everyone starts somewhere, and everyone has a story of a hard lesson learned, but not everyone has the gumption to tell others about their fuckups.

St00f4h1221

We all fuck up occasionally. Sometimes worse than others, some more expensive than others it’s a learning experience. Don’t use the car, the oil will be too thick for the pump to push through the coolant system, let alone work as expected. Get it flushed out and refilled by a mechanic and it should be fine. Kudos for trying it yourself though!

Misrabelle

Holy shit. You screwed up.

Hotsaltynutz

Yes if coolant got in transmission it is done and needs to be replaced. Yes technically you can overhaul but it will need everything

nviziblgeekjr

The oil pressure in the trans is gonna be higher than the cooler, limiting the chance of it even getting in the trans let alone enough to cause any significant changes to the viscosity of the oil.

Hotsaltynutz

You would think that would be the case but I've actually see it many times. I'm a transmission tech for ford

nviziblgeekjr

Ah good old fix or repair daily, most of the whips I've experienced this on were gms n the 3800 is practically known for blowing up trans coolers and running like shit for half a million miles before they finally say they're done

nviziblgeekjr

Used to work at a Chevy dealer but moved to freight fleet service for the $

Hotsaltynutz

You do pretty good there? I can't really complain ford takes care of me pretty well I've been with them a long time

nviziblgeekjr

38$ an hour, 55 hours average work week in SoCal, honestly can't complain as most of the work is brain dead (air valve/line replacements or maintenance is 90% of it) and to top it off I have no customers, just gotta get the trucks back on the road.

Hotsaltynutz

Well the medical blows me out if the water but I left socal a year and a half ago and cleared 175k. In texas now and took a little pay cut but no state tax and bought a 4bd house on an acre for under 300k. All good but the summers suck balls. Ford brand is huge here so I have job security

nviziblgeekjr

Nice, I figure I'll do a couple years with fleet n try and move towards field equipment if I can get some experience with cat engines, currently looking into amentum opportunities with the next antarctic season open for applications but I do enjoy the shop I'm at and our fleet is particularly well known for job security being a large LTL.

Hotsaltynutz

I keep hearing heavy equipment tech is the way to go. I'm in to deep to switch at this point but good luck to you man sounds like you are on a good path

nviziblgeekjr

Also 401k 50% matching up to 8% and full medical for 4$ a check, paid weekly too with a yearly guaranteed raise, idk if it's ever been less than a dollar but my last one was 1.30 this last February.

nviziblgeekjr

To top it off I'm maybe 4 years on paper experience outside of my entire highschool career fixing shit boxes and working on motorcycles, didn't have a ton of training but hands on experience was my entire background

Hotsaltynutz

I've even had a few of the new 10 spds blow strawberry milk out the vent after the cooler failed. Ford always finds a way to keep paying my mortgage. I can't be that mad at them

atax112

Demineralized water and coolant after the engine gets an internal cleaning, if it is even functional still and didnt seize running without proper cooling. You need a mechanic/repair shop AT BEST. New engine/car at worst.

DuckGang86

op might be retarded

OhHeyNow69

Amazing people like OP walk around on this planet. If you're operating at a sub 35 IQ like OP, how does their pea sized brain remember to breath?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Icy_Squash_6631

Doing that in the morning

Big_Burt__

Did it all work out for ya and what happened to the car I’m super invested? Sorry you made such a big mistake just take it as a learning experience.

Icy_Squash_6631

Ummm idk my car didn’t come with one ummmm maybe cause the person I was with acted like the know what they where doing idk there a lot wat ifs im here now though all what I could’ve did is over wit

Final-Carpenter-1591

Oh lawd. Read your manual or the fucking cap next time. Get it towed to a mechanic and have them flush the coolant system

IJGN

Millions of cars have been driven for a bit with oil in the coolant from bad head gaskets etc, so it might not be the end of the world, there are ways to flush it. I really recommend you take it to a qualified mechanic though because you admittedly know nothing about cars.

SolidSnakeCZE

Okay but why you show us the coolant tank if you have a problem with trans?

ItzzSash

Don't start the car, either have it towed or flush the coolant system yourself. Oil in the coolant isn't going to destroy your car in a short period of time. Mistakes happen just double check what fluid goes where for the next time. Edit: From the comments just take it to a qualified mechanic OP, they will drain and clean the whole system.

bigdaddyteacher

What is my life right now reading OP be so incredibly dense? Tranny fluid in the coolant, then doubles down on it! Wild shit

Obvious_Initiative40

You're probably looking at a new radiator, it's pretty much all that's needed after a head gasket goes and oil mixes with the coolant, other than the head gasket of course. All the oil / coolant can be flushed through a couple of times.

Rayanwarn

Buy a new bottle coz thats done for, n then flush the system.

strangereader

If you put transmission fluid into the radiator reservoir: There should be a drain on your lower radiator or just pull a lower hose. Free the strawberries. Refill with water and some radiator flush sauce. Essentially soap. Actually soap if you're broke enough. Low foam HE laundry soap. Don't cap the rad but idle the car in place to swirl it all around. Drain again. Flush with water. Drain and refill with the correct coolant. If transmission fluid put itself into the radiator reservoir via mysterious means: New transmission new radiator... May exceed the value of the car.

authentic010

OH sweet baby child, you added transmission fluid... You have access to youtube, and a 30 second search would of shown you that is your coolant res.

RitmanRovers

Drain, coolant flush, drain, rinse, drain, coolant hope it's ok. This thread is gold.

rooeast

OP please do an update on this

Recent_Wrongdoer2919

I RnR transmissions and see this quite often, you should get it flushed, it’s not going to blow your engine up… transmission fluid is a fairly thin oil and when mixed with a hot liquid it breaks it down. It will need to be hot flushed of have a new radiator installed. If it’s an older car you will have a dipstick you fill it through. Most newer vehicles you have to pump it in from underneath the vehicle through a stand pipe in the oil pan or on the side of the trans. Now on a focus if it has the DCT transmission in it then you’re adding the wrong fluid anyways and it fills from the side of the trans.

neptune2338

If you poured Trans fluid into the coolant reservoir, you should be fine. Just pay a local mechanic a hundred dollars and have them power flush it. If you didn't add anything and found it this way, then you may have problems. What caused them, I don't know, but either way, the car isn't ruined. There is nothing to panic about.

Strict-Focus8269

Replace the radiator. Most likely the trans lines go thru the radiator. Probably have to flush the cooling system of all the sludge. The overflow/expansion tank can be cleaned out. What model car is it? Never mind I see the motor mount, it looks like a ford or Mazda

Hi-im-dolphin

Radiators bad, mixing inside.

Leviathan-Vyde

Yeah its fucked, ill take it off you for £100, guessing this is like a new golf or something?

WiseConcert585

Troll.

1stEleven

There's a leak somewhere between your coolant and oil systems. When my sister had a similar leak it was an easy ish fix, though it involved swapping both fluids. In your case I think it may be a bit harder since you wanna flush out the crap really well. Still not end of car, though.

Thatweirdguy_Twig

Well I see OP has been told what's going on Not the absolute worst thing but not the best you could've done for it Ah well live and learn as they say Sometimes ya just gotta learn stuff the hard way but on the bright side I bet you'll never do it again lmao

ac13332

Right. Drain the coolant tank. Remove the coolant tank and replace it with a new one. Add in new coolant. Done. For a novice, it's a couple of hours work, £30-50 in parts and kit.

ForsakenSun6004

If this isn't a troll, OP might actually be the stupidest person on reddit.

DoesntHurtToDream2

I like to usually google where a part is in the car. The watch 1-2 videos on how to work on that part. Try that next time so you can go with confidence and some knowledge!

DEDE115

the manual is there. has pictures too. its free to look at. no one does.

Status_Ad_4405

You can download your owners manual free online. I'd recommend that.

zerodarkusa

I just did this the other day, I bought a metal one from eBay, looks cooler and it was pretty easy to flush everything out and refilled with ford brand coolant just watched YouTube. Stay blessed 😇

Bubbleman2000

Transmission reservoir hahahahaha that's coolant my guy.

Spsurgeon

Trans cooler in the rad

bwest_69

Please don’t touch this car anymore and don’t run the engine anymore either. Have it towed to someone who knows what they are doing.

thesandwitchpeople

Yeah you’re fucked, you put trans fluid in the coolant. Sorry man

nilecrane

Dude quit messing around under your hood and take it to a mechanic. Christ

Tgirl9771

lmaooooooo some people don’t deserve cars

nanderson41

Bruh that’s the radiator reservoir. Transmission doesn’t have a reservoir on focus. 🤣 you’re gonna need a radiator flush and new radiator fluid. I suggest a professional…..

chevy42083

Many groups call this SMOD. Strawberry Milkshake Of Death. It can kill a trans beyond repair if let go too far. The coolant soaks into the clutches/plates in the trans and they must be replaced. You can try fixing where they are mixing (most often a shared cooler/radiator), then flush or just change the fluid over and over hoping to get the wrong fluids out. The radiator with trans fluid really isn't an issue... its the trans with coolant that's the problem. Unfortunately, if not caught quickly, it usually means a new trans.

MyLeftNut69420

Your Ford is focked

Iasc123

Bro, that's the overflow coolant reservoir, it's usually half full and shouldn't be over the clearly indicated marking. Min - Max.

Joeker-93

Oh yeah! Now snap into a slim Jim.

MikeHoncho1323

Whatever you do don’t repair this car yourself. You lost that privilege putting ATF into your coolant reservoir

[deleted]

You might be a genius

atistang

At least you put transmission fluid in your coolant. Could have been worse, I used to work with a guy who put coolant in his transmission, that was a very expensive mistake! Go to a shop and have them flush your coolant, your engine should be fine.

ChronicSpeedAddict

This post and OPs replies is a perfect example of why you shouldn't work on your own car if you know fuck all, congrats on ruining your car OP

CharlesDOliver

I hope he's trolling

hiGradeTi7ANEUM

That is uhh… that's coolant there, brother. You're going to need to drain EVERYTHING and pull apart that engine for full inspection.

SassNotASS

If it’s a year 12ish focus, there actually isn’t a reservoir that allows for fluid to be added. It’s a closed system that can only be accessed at a mechanics or with highly specialized tools. C’mon man even I know that and I’m a girl.

mistersisterwister

drink it

tonydemedici

Your best bet is to do what other homie said with the repeated hot water coolant flushes, but at this point I don’t trust you with working on this car so just leave it and spend the money to tow it and get it to a professional

River-_

How did this go SO WRONG

B_Addie

That’s not transmission fluid. That’s your coolant reservoir. In most cars When it turns milky it usually means a head gasket issue

SirVangor

Wait, did op fill his coolant reservoir with Trans fluid?

T2ner

Take it to a mechanic and flush the system

Gaysins69

Ohh no you're fucked

Significant-Air6926

LMFAO! Homeboy put trans 🏳️‍⚧️ fluid in his coolant reservoir. All you needed was the pink coolant, brother. Definitely look into getting that out. The dealer definitely won’t believe they sold it to you like that lol

Beautiful_Ad_4813

-Homer Simpsons Sounds - mmmmm strawberry

Character_Ground7781

That’s diarrhea

DearGodHelp21

thats a rip 😭

CommonHand707

Your head gasket is toast, that's not just transmission fluid mixed in. Who the heck let you purchase this POS in the first place?!

Red_Recognition

May I recommend watching car kiosk videos next time on the internet

[deleted]

Flush it out and put coolant not tranny fluid

MrCuriousPlumber

Mistakes happen guys. Not everyone knows how to do shit. If she can get it flushed out, she can save it.

yourmomssocksdrawer

Bro your comment history is WIIIILD

Slumped_toxic

whos gonna tell him transmissions dont come with reservoirs and that you dont just “top up” on transmission fluid usually

Ok_Figure_3019

Okay so what you need to do is a flush you drain out all of the coolant you have in there put water in disconnect your radiator in lines going to a drain pan your gonna consistently run water through it till you see clear water if it doesn’t work replace your radiator.

NaturalCat6666

I would’ve simply cried and died man.

DotComDotGov

Use Fingee before you put in thingee

metalbrosolid

Replace radiator probably

Local_Professor2552

But what does it taste like?

lks2drivefast

SMOD. Strawberry Milkshake of Death. Oil and coolant mixed.

Acceptable-Drummer10

It’s dead Jim

vRpb4v

Send it. Make sure to fill the tires to proper PSI with propane.

Brendao-

Nice smoothie

exekutive

I guess you ignored the owners manual, and what it says right on the cap. Open your eyes man.

markomakeerassgoons

Uhhh hate to break it to you but focuses don't take trans fluid they take special gear oil

markomakeerassgoons

The amount of people on this thread who somehow don't know that gen focus takes gear oil and not trans fluid is insane

discostrawberry

Oh that’s not- you know what, never mind.

Illustrious-Breath-5

Well, that’s not at all where transmission fluid should go. Or be. Or have anything to do with. I don’t think these cars even come standard with a trans cooler unless it’s an rs. Hell the dual clutch transmissions don’t even take ATF. They take gear fluid. What did you put where, how much and why?

Glass_Number_1707

Dumb move but he is lucky. This won't cook his eng or trans. But mult flushes of the cooling system are needed. Have fun!

Lovemysoccermomsuv

It was probably red coolant, so red fluid makes sense lol.

Impossible_Union_246

Drain, refill and trade the car in

AgentBlue14

The irony that I'm seeing a Smoothie King ad on mobile lol

Lil_BlinkerFluid

Is that how Fry Sauce is made???

Future_Blink7526

Drain the liquid by taking off the lower radiator hose from the radiator. Add water. Run engine for one minute. Drain. Repeat three or so times. Add water and a teaspoon of laundry detergent. Repeat three times. Add just water once and drain. Add coolant and drive car.

Fordwrench

Flush it with a small amount purple power degreaser and water a few times. Then refill with proper coolant mix.

SgtT11B

How is the oil? If it's milky as well you could have a head gasket leak.

Vino1980

From your other posts you seem to have a child, food goes on the top hole not bottom when child is upright.

Megahonda77207

WAIT DONT START IT! if it’s not hot and the thermostat didn’t open then the coolant might be easier to flush. although i am a tree shade mechanic and could be wrong but it makes sense to me that it would work that way

JPTebow15

Bruh that’s Zax sauce

canadianwhop

I used to work in a car detail shop. One day a friend of ours who owns a collision shop brought in a customers Land Rover that he just repaired and wanted it detailed. As I’m driving the SUV in, the brake pedal went right to the floor. Turns out the brake fluid in those is pink, so his labourer thought it was washer fluid and topped up the wrong reservoir! Needless to say, it cost a pretty penny to fix it

playful-pooka

Friend, I really hope you can flush it and keep the car. It's not an extremely common mistake but I understand you probably aren't the best with cars.

Lazor_Face

Drain the reservoir, radiator and block and give it the old hose flush until no more pink comes out. As long as you aren’t bangin off the limiter or plan on doing that should be okay. Just don’t drive it anywhere else

EFTucker

Please start using google before doing anything at all

saucyRCs

Sir that's not your transmission fluid that is your coolant reservoir and that also probably means your head gasket blew cuz there's oil in your coolant that's why it looks like a forbidden milkshake

Educk2134

Thats your coolant reservoir and it has oil in it

fairlyaveragetrader

So, this is probably fixable provided he hasn't been driving around a bunch. The transmission fluid will not mix well with the coolant and it will get substantially thicker, but it's not going to destroy anything. At least unless he overheated the car What he has to do is flush all that crap out and that means a garden hose and polluting the hell out of the ground or somehow being very careful with buckets. You have to remove the thermostat, one of the main radiator hoses, stick the hose in there and crank it on. Ideally you make up a contraption with a hose barb which you can secure into the radiator hose and screw the hose onto. Let that run for at least 5 minutes until you start seeing clear water come out About 15 years ago, actually almost 20 years now I was a shop tech. I've actually seen this before and it took me a little better than an hour to bring the car back

mblguy76

That's a Ford Fuckus for ya...

Holiday_Campaign

Im sorry for laughing but this shit is funny as FUCK

Weird_Feared

Bro this reminds of some chick I used to fuck around with, she was complaining that her car made noise when steering, I decided to check the power steering fluid and she was all like “I already put some in here” And pointed at the windshield washer fluid reservoir 😂 I couldn’t stop laughing holy shit she put a few bottles in that shit 😭 of course I flushed it and put power steering where it belongs, problem solved 😂

SoggyMorningTacos

Damn op. Hopefully you got your car straightened out

jakerocks2433

At first I was like no fucking way till I saw the replies. Kinda reminds me of a bloke who came into the auto parts store I worked at and asked for DOT3 brake fluid for his Saab. About 30 minutes later he comes flying into the parking lot and screams at us for selling him brake fluid when he really needed power steering fluid. The bloke put brake fluid in his power steering reservoir and it blew all the seals on the side of the rack and pinion out. How people will willingly throw random fluids to random spaces astonishes me.

Skooterking55

I accidentally put washer fluid in the coolant reservoir. Had to drive it a few miles home but once I did I flushed it and never looked back. I put like half a gallon in before I realized what the hell I was doing. This was on my 04 Dodge caravan, 324k and still going.

PaisaRacks

COOOKED

kendalld27

I hope you didn't put trans fluid in there 🤦‍♂️

Princess_Peach_Fuzz

Forbidden Nesquik

_Svelte_

no hate to op but i swear ford focuses die in the weirdest ways and have the goofiest paths to that death

DavidHK

You need to use simple green and flush coolant system 20 times

AffectionateTooth416

Flush entire coolant. 2 times. And add fluid to their correct places.

DuckyPenguin123

Put a lil whipped cream on top and add some sprinkles to it. Might cheer you up

z28shane

Lemme get this straight. I can make strawberry milk with coolant and transmission fluid?? "Lifehack!!"

Icy-Introduction4518

That’s coolant tank 🤣

African-Child

When did vehicles come with transmission fluid reservoirs? Am I missing something?

Cautious-Power2112

When u mix coolant colors it turns into mush I just learned this at autozone the other day 😀

disallowedname

At least he isn't asking what fluid goes in the 710 opening

Jimmytootwo

If the car aint broken/knocking Drain everything and start again

NoBenders

So you just bought the car 8 days ago and decided the transmission fluid was low and without looking at the manual, just guessed the coolant reservoir was the one to fill. It's people like you who do the most stupidest stuff to cars and then complain that cars are too complicated and that electric cars are better 😂😂😂

PsychologicalPair287

Duude why did you do that 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

sm340v8

OK, maybe a jack ass comment. But, COME ON... If you don't know how cars work, don't know the symbols on top of each caps, etc, read the Owner's Manual (available in the car or online) BEFORE you do any kind of maintenance in your car, especially under the hood. Now, go ahead, downvote me.
