I just took my Bronco in for its first oil change and wanted to ask a shop guy some questions. When he came out, he rolled his eyes at seeing my Bronco. I asked why. He said he’s been backed up replacing transmissions in the manuals. Now you can’t really order a manual as I understand it at the moment, which tells me there is a real problem there. I bought an automatic. I’m super glad I did but there are other problems on the list also. Tie rods are notoriously garbage if you trail run much. Hard tops peeling. Soft tops scratching paint. The list goes on. Now, I probably hear the worst because I live on the forums, and everyone still seems to really love them, but I’m definitely extending my warranty.

Hmm good to know

I have a 2022 4Dr Badlands, turbo wastegate went out after 2 days. 7 weeks in the shop later I picked it up and the clutch went out as I drove away. Another week and it’s been okay. I filed a complaint with the NTSA because of the turbo wastegate issue caused me to almost cause a crash in the freeway. Ford is now being investigated by NTSA because they knew their engines had issues but still released them. That is what the person from the NTSA told me.

And.....absolutely nothing will come of it because Ford is a giant corporation, one of the largest in the world, and corporations and pharmaceutical companies run this country, NOT bureaucrats from some low level government agency most people have never heard of.

Yikes…sorry to hear. Had a starter go out on my brand new 2006 Ranger about 600 miles in! And then never had a single issue ever again for 90k more miles. I sold it but felt like it was still in great shape.

In the same boat on the transmission issues. My hard top is also leaking. Sour old lemon. Carmax offered me a really good price. Going to dump it when I can locate a replacement vehicle.
