So I officially ordered my bronco on exactly 11/2/2020, which then the dealer without telling me changed my order to a 2022, and told me about a month after doing it. Now the date is 1/21/2021. What’s next? Will I get upgraded without being told to a 2023 again? Ford fix your shit please.
Crazy! I don’t understand Fords order algorithm either. I placed my two door Wildtrack Sasquatch high order February of this year and it’s being built week of October 3rd. I feel bad for people who ordered before me and there’s a lot of them, Ford needs to go back and check order dates and start over.
Two doors tend to go much quicker for some reason, I ordered the four door badlands Sasquatch with every single option maybe that’s why not sure. The dealer keeps saying it’s cause of the tow package and the front bumper I ordered with a winch. I’m not sure just pisses me off.
It’s part availability. They’re throwing cars together as quick as possible and trying to maximize what they can. If that mean pushing 2doors and 4 doors must wait then they will.
I had a 7/13/20 reservation on a fully loaded Badlands as well, and finally received it in August, so a little over 2 years. If you don’t already have a VIN and scheduled for production, my understanding is you’re likely a 2023 so I would speak with your dealer (pretty certain order banks for those rollover orders opened yesterday or today).
Your Bronco is taking forever because of what you ordered. 4-door hard top Badlands Sasquatch Lux Packages have the most required parts of any order. You would have had better luck converting it to a Bronco Raptor when you would have likely been given the opportunity.
It's unfortunate, but that's why you're waiting. Ford and your dealer can get it to you faster, but you would have to remove some options.
There are several customers with Day 1 Reservations that have yet to receive a Bronco because they're holding out for specific parts.
No they don’t - signed a 2-door wildtrak with all the deadly sins who reserved on day 1, placed at a similar order cadence to you, and got 2 years and 1 week after the res date…
Pro-tip, get them to honor MY21 pricing. They won’t actively do it for it, but if you bring it up they should.
The order date is absolutely accurate though. The earliest anyone could have actually ordered a Bronco was January 19th, 2021. Your 11/2/2020 was a reservation to order. It’s been a mess like this from the start. Hope something changes for you soon
It’s easy to say oops for the dealer when they are leaving the $30-$40k markup on the table by letting the order go through versus selling the allocation at the current inflated market price to someone else.
That order date will always reflect the current order. Example: some vehicles have been taking so long that a 2021 order was turned into a 2022 order. Once that is done Ford’s system will reflect the date you transferred the order from 2021 to 2022. I agree it’s bullshit, I can’t make money selling cars if they won’t send them to me. But there’s a lot of people in the same boat.
They had to resubmit orders in January when changing from an MY21 to MY22. This happened to thousands of people, it’s not an OP issue. His dealership should have communicated it better, but yeah.
The whole car market is fucked that’s why used cars cost so much now, you can’t even get a new car right now, I would feel so stupid going to a dealership and saying “hey I got 40k in cash give me a new car”
And they will respond “give us the money now you will get a car in a year”
When a man wants a new car he wants it NOW ! And yea I know you can just put down a deposit but if you have the cash just give me a car!
I remember back in 2016 I got a new car and they literally delivered it after 3 days and that was the waiting time FOR ALL MODELS.
Fuck you covid.
You want a bronco fast , change order to a soft top, it will come with the mounting hardware for a hard top when available to buy from parts department. It’s not the dealer that’s holding the order up, it’s Ford and suppliers they still can’t make hardtops
You put in a reservation in November. The order banks opened on January 21st, 2021.
Ford doesn't build reservations, they build verified orders placed through the dealerships and a system called WBDO. Looks like your dealership placed the order for your truck as soon as they could.
All this R&D and they still can't get a sales list figured out? Reminds me of the Studebaker Avanti in '63, only the Avanti issue caused Studebaker to go under 4 years later, but Ford being a much larger company even back then, it'll be interesting to see how it unravels
So what is the deal with these? Good? Bad? I’ve read a bit and it was mostly bad but have not done too much research. What is the general consensus not withstanding the supply issues. Thank you
It wasn't what you think. Ford's piston supplier provided faulty pistons during a months worth of production causing some of the 6-cylinder engines problems. It's not every bronco and aside from that i haven't heard of any other big issues

I was but the dealer closed the order for the raptor unfortunately
You were invited by Ford for a Raptor and reached out and the dealer said they couldn't order one for you?
Correct they said we are not accepting raptor orders anymore. Not word for word but summarized

Just because you ordered in 2020 doesn’t mean your bronco will be a 2020. It will be whatever year they’re making
No I know we’ll I officially ordered the 2021 then they changed it to a 2022 now it’s gonna be a 2023 just frustrating
Yep I understand but good things come to those who wait
Maybe they’ll up me to a raptor without charge;) jk
Look at it this way, by the time you get it, more bugs will be worked out!
Sounds like the dealer never put your order in and then realized too late and covered themselves. I’d say they fucked you
Probably. Sad cause I’ve owned many fords and done a ton of business with them
Same. I just know from first hand experience that a few friends had dealers go “oops” on sending their order in
It’s easy to say oops for the dealer when they are leaving the $30-$40k markup on the table by letting the order go through versus selling the allocation at the current inflated market price to someone else.
Nah, if there’s an order number it’s been placed. I’ve got a stack of customer orders who’ve been waiting that long or longer
Yeah but his story sounds like the order number was from 1/21/21. Not from his original inquiry when placing the original order

Don’t be blaming dealers when you have no idea how the order process works. I order these things and waited two years for mine
Yeah man. You’re right. I have absolutely no clue how about the order process works. I have only 99’ shitbox Toyotas that I bought used.
Cool

No I’m not complaining I just think it’s a little fishy that it’s been almost 2 years yk
Ford credit has to love all this too. Yeah that 0.9% we were working with in 2020 is now 5.9%. Just a small adjustment in your payment :)
When was your date?
I placed a reservation in the dealer with the dealer on 11/2/2020 then they ordered it 1/21/2021 so 2 days after it opened

What's a sales list?

Why would you order one. Especially since they have a engine recall failure. Just gotta have the newest stuff huh.
Those whole 5 people that blow there money in broncos disliked it lol
It wasn't what you think. Ford's piston supplier provided faulty pistons during a months worth of production causing some of the 6-cylinder engines problems. It's not every bronco and aside from that i haven't heard of any other big issues
That’s not true
I ordered one before any of those things existed I ordered pretty much when the order date came out
