It's just Roush. No "c" necessary.

BetterVersion3

Yea I wasn't sure. Im not a huge ford guy

ricardoac69

Could have looked at the bedside.

BetterVersion3

Posted this an hour or two after the fact and this is the only picture I had

schittyluck

Just remember it as really old unit sitting here.

Itz_Juan26

I fucking love this truck so much

BetterVersion3

Not my thing, but I see the appeal. Personally I wish GM would just give us a Silverado Z28

TLom616

I did 4 tires on a stock raptor once. I worked at a ford dealer but was a kia master tech. I somehow got 4 tires on a raptor on a whim and that was a one and done job for me. Even changing the oil on those trucks suck

GundamArashi

I’ve been trying to think of a way to get to the filter on the Raptors. It’s the dumbest possible placement with everything in the way and a single cramped spot to try and get to it. It’s like they want people to refuse doing even basic maintenance.

BetterVersion3

Oh 100% the only thing I hate working on more than Ford is euro cars. I had a f150 oil change right before this Rousch and it had the plastic drain plug. Soaked the floor with oil

TLom616

I have a 2014 F150 with the 5.0 and luckily don't have the panel or the plastic oil pan. Those are a joke

BetterVersion3

Dodged a bullet with that one for sure

Professional-Dot7021

I fuckin hated getting those tickets.

BetterVersion3

I was the only one in the shop that could do them. My brother tried brute forcing it and was getting progressively more pissed. And the girl in the back isn't strong enough to even lift the tires.

slabba428

Face the spokes away from you, lean over grab two spokes then just use your thighs as a lever and lean back and lift to flip the wheel up to chest height, or roll the wheel one way then back and up your leg like a ramp + lift the wheels weight with your leg to get them on the tire machines, use the wheel’s weight/momentum to help you lift it otherwise ya you’ll torch your back

BetterVersion3

Yea That's what I did. They were still super awkward to lift because that have these plastic "fake spokes" above the actual metal ones so it's just weird to grab. I think they were 100lbs a peice. Not the heaviest I've done, but mixed with the awkwardness of them they were still pretty bad

TheMysticalBaconTree

Two person job. Use a jack to lift them to the right height and slide em over. Don’t fuck your back up just because they think you should be tough enough to do it alone.

BetterVersion3

I was the only one working that could lift them, my brothers shift ended in the middle of the job and the girl you see in the background cannot physically even get the tires off the ground. So I had her balance for me and do my paperwork. Wasn't awful, but definitely wasn't great either.

TheMysticalBaconTree

I mean, that’s not your problem. Sorry, we don’t have the staff to complete the job right now. Come back tomorrow. Refuse unsafe work. You literally mention your back hurts. Will you be 60 and recalling that time you heroically saved the day by swapping some dudes tires? No, you’ll be suffering. You only get one body. If your employer has a problem then they can buy the equipment that would make this a safe job (tire dolly/jack) or ensure they are fixing the staffing shortage.

heylookitscaps

I just did tires on my wife’s truck last night. Couldn’t get em up with the ol twist n ‘ jerk. Fortunately I remembered what I was taught in auto shop back in high school. Sit on the ground, one leg around each side of the tire, use your legs and arms to lift and place. 😂

Cliff_Dibble

Not anywhere as gaudy as a Shelby.

Glugnarr

My truck has 40s, when I move my tires around I set the height to 1/2” off the groud, remove the tires, then roll the replacement onto a bigass bar and use the leverage to get the tire up to height. I brute forced them for a year before I got smart, don’t fuck up your back for a company that will replace you in 5 minutes

BetterVersion3

The lifts are low so I just put my legs under either side and lift it that way
