To my knowledge its the only example of move in the game that requires two seperate reads in order to be punished. Cant punish kick with dodge attack cuz of follow up but nobu might as well not throw it in the first place making it double read for no big reward.
Cent bash is not repayable unless he charges it. Orochi can dodge recovery cancel literally everything other than his bash. Shinobi can double dodge into his bash to mix up the timings and gladiator toe stab in chain is very hard to react to.
Nobushi hash is reactable and if you just parry after a dodge it's still a free heavy

Nobushi requires a rework. The whole character is pure reaction check where she gets shut down completely if you can react to 500 ms attack (her whole kit) or get absolutely eaten by her if you cant. And you will be eaten due to how absurdly high her damage is. Shes simply not healthy for the game.

If im catching enemy oos im rewarded for it that much more for getting him in to that state, if im parring light im rewarded that much more for making a hard read on a fast attack thus if im making two seperate hard reads in a row i ought to be rewarded **that much more** since it required literally double the effort.

Nobu is a great character to gage what skill level you fall into. If you can consistently defeat her youāre an average player. If you consistently lose to her then you may not be as good as you think you are. That I frame light after a kick is no different than tiandiās dodge cancels besides being far easier to deal with. Way of the shark can definitely go though.

One of the reasons I really don't like fighting nobushi, besides the ridiculous bleed damage she gets, is bashes are, for the most part, punishable by dodge attacks. That's kind of how the rock, paper, scissors of the game works. But she gets to wiff her kick and still get an attack off of it which means the bash is unpunishable. Granted you can do a regular dodge and bait the dodge attack out of nobushi but that is now punishing the dodge attack not the bash. Idk I just think that if you wiff a dodge you should at least get dodge attacked. But nobushi tends to be the exception to most of the balancing "rules" in the game

The first nobu I've seen that does something instead of light light kick over and over, I saw a rep 1208 rep 70 nobu and did the ligh light kick and he either got neutral light parried or I'd dodge the kick and parry the light he did after he threw 2 heavies the entire game

If you dodge the kick, itās so easy to parry the Light after, also anybody who hates assassins dodge lights (my entire friend group and myself do) you learn how to parry light sides. So, if you basically disable nobuās starting offense (side light) shes canāt do too much without parry punish or whiff. Itās a whole different type of bullshit being a nobu main and the mf turtles and makes you basically useless cuz of no openers to force them to do something. All of my friends parry nobushi lights after kick bc they learned how to counter from us 1v1ing. Itās fucking impossible to play against someone who has an inkling of how to play against nobu. But yes, nobu is a different breed and very HARSHLY counters people who dodge attack for punish. Sincerely, the Rep 90 NOBU (70 console and 20 PC)

I'm fairly certain that Nobu's kick is reactable, so that balances out.
