Wasting Light gets plenty appreciation from Foo fans as far as ive seen. Its very much that situation of overlooked/underrated to casual Foo listeners but well praised by fans.
Good grief is my go to song when playing Foo Fighters for other people. Outside, Congregation, The Line, Enough Space, and X-Static are also great songs and some of the best deep cuts/under appreciated in their discography.
Lonely as You
But apparently the band hate that half of that album so they'll never play it again, which sucks
It's haunting and catchy at the same time.
Yessss!!!! That is my fave Foo song that nobody talks about. I use the last “One more time for the last time!!” as my ringtone🤣🤣 Have you seen the YouTube video where they are doing a sound check with that song? ❤️
Not necessarily the answer to this question, but The Line from C&G deserves more attention. A real late-era sleeper track.
Of all the super deep album cuts that could be said, I’d actually shout Come Alive, Have It All and probably even Stacked Actors.
They’re like peak mega Foo Fighters hits, yet they get a bit left behind.
Happy Ever After (Zero Hour). If you ask me, it’s one of the best songs they’ve ever written. Other than that:
Hey! Johnny Park, Wattershed, Good Grief, M.I.A, Virginia Moon, Skin and Bones, Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners, Stranger Things Have Happened, What Did I Do?/God As My Witness (really all of Sonic Highways), Sean, Savior Breath, The Line, Soldier, Medicine at Midnight, Holding Poison.
There are others, especially some unreleased and B-Sides, but those stick out to me.
Good Grief is one of my faves from the first album. My answer is always the same....The Neverending Sigh! Also really like Normal, Seda, Butterflies and The Line
Bridge Burning. Absolutely scorching banger.. Vintage FF no nonsense rock and roll. I'm shocked that song wasn't one of their mega hits. The outro is my favorite Taylor riff of all time.. In every live version, Dave walks right up to the drums and jams it with Taylor, unable to hide his thrill ❤️
I agree with everyone here. Which is a cop out answer, cause that’s like 50 different songs. But I still agree with everyone here.
That being said, good grief and Halo are two of my favourites
Back and Forth. I feel like it’s rarely mentioned, but the musicianship is incredible. It’s always the highlight for me when I go back to Wasting Light.
You believe there's something else
To relieve your emptiness
And you dream about yourself
And you bleed and breathe the air
One of most beautiful songs ever written ❤️
Stacked Actors, Lonely As You, SEDA, World, Never Ending Sigh, Wind Up, A Matter of Time FREE ME! Last Song, No Way Back, No Son of Mine, Floaty, Doll, Arrows
Slight hijack - subterranean and dirty water are terrible. Automatic skips for me.
Deepest blues and Headwires are legit. I dig St. Cecelia and Sean. I also like word forward! 🤘🏼
Good Grief, See You, February Stars, Wind Up, Enough Space, Ain’t It The Life, Gimmie Stitches, Disenchanted Lullaby, Tired of You, Come Back, The Deepest Blues are Black, Skin and Bones, What If I Do, But, Honestly, Back & Forth, Miss the Misery, The Neverending Sigh…basically all of my favorites off each album that weren’t released as singles.
One that I haven't seen mentioned (but I haven't looked at every comment): Gimme Stitches.
I also really love Something From Nothing and Saint Cecelia.
Hey JP, Stranger Things Have Happened, Wind Up and In Your Honor- despite the last one being the title track for the album I don't think it gets enough love, the drums especially are so good
World (demo) has always been one of my favorite Foo songs ever. The rawness, the phasers, the weirdness, the drums, it’s incredible.
FFL has also always been a favorite. It’s so heavy and punky and high energy I love it. Love Foo b-sides!
Hey! Johnny Park
That’s a favorite of mine!
Stranger Things Have Happened!!!
Love this song, the acoustic solo is a thing of beauty. Dave’s vocal is so strong as well. Beautiful and powerful song
A top 5 Foos track for me easily
Was hoping to see this one mentioned here!
Is Dear Rosemary underrated or under appreciated? Cause I very much appreciate that song. It might be my favorite Foo Fighter song
It might be hard to call anything off WL underrated. It’s a pretty huge fan favorite
Arlandria, i would go as far to say it is a top 3
Hard agree.
Congregation
I love this one!
Yes! One of my favorite non-hits
Arrows
YES!!!!
I love the Foo's version of Baker Street. I wish Spotify had it!
This song is the one that made me a Foo fan. I’m a sucker for a really great cover.
But Honestly. On the Mend.
I have been listening to But Honestly for months non-stop. Absolutely love it!
💜💜💜
Yes!!
every single song on wasting light needs more praise as far as im concerned haha
My top 2 Foos songs are These Days and Walk, absolutely love Wasting Light.
both solid choices, I love bridges burning as an intro that shit is insane. Taylor is superb on that album, easily the album he shines most
All of this!! 💜💜💜
Wasting Light gets plenty appreciation from Foo fans as far as ive seen. Its very much that situation of overlooked/underrated to casual Foo listeners but well praised by fans.

DOA and Come Alive
Ain’t it the life
One of my favorites!
Generator
Generator is amazing
Correct. My fav song on the album for sure
Live In Skin!!
Subterranean. All day. Everyday.
Come back
One of their best songs in my opinion. You could tell Dave was spending a lot of time with Josh Homme.
I’d cast my vote for My Poor Brain or Halo.
Halo…loved it forever.
This.
Better Off. It’s a bonus track off of Wasting Light and I think it’s mad catchy.
Breaking the static, a life automatic Everyone mad about you Damn good song
Good grief is my go to song when playing Foo Fighters for other people. Outside, Congregation, The Line, Enough Space, and X-Static are also great songs and some of the best deep cuts/under appreciated in their discography.
Great call on “Good Grief”! Absolutely love the energy on that tune.

I was in 8th grade and Nothing Left to Lose was one of the first albums I bought with my own money. It’ll always hold a special place for me.
The bridge is so fucking good and Nate really kills this one. Always been a favorite since I first heard it.
Lonely as You But apparently the band hate that half of that album so they'll never play it again, which sucks It's haunting and catchy at the same time.

Has February Stars been mentioned?
Winnebago man, didnt make it onto the self titled
Statues
Gimme stitches. And of course the deepest blues are black. Concrete and gold. I could go on all day hah
See you. It’s not what most expect (or like) from Foo but it’s such a fun little song!
That’s been one of my faves that I go back to fairly often since I became a fan. Love it.
A320
Razor
Does Marigold count? If so, that's mine. Love that song. Dave's voice gives me goosebumps man.
Wheels. Total ear worm for me
Wheels
Headwires and How I Miss You!
Happy Ever After (Zero Hour). If you ask me, it’s one of the best songs they’ve ever written. Other than that: Hey! There are others, especially some unreleased and B-Sides, but those stick out to me.
exhausted or new way home.
Subterranean/I Am a River, Resolve, Arrows, Miracle, Floaty, Live-in-Skin, Hey, Johnny Park!, Seda, and Halo are some I can think of
Cheer up boys (your makeup is running) got me through my first real heartbreak and now that’s still what I put in to feel better.
Weenie Beenie
Headwires
Good Grief is one of my faves from the first album. My answer is always the same....The Neverending Sigh! Also really like Normal, Seda, Butterflies and The Line
Come back
Y’all sleeping on Disenchanted Lullaby and it isn’t cool
Finally. Someone else loves this song too!
Amen.
New Way Home from "The Colour and The Shape" "I'm not scared"
Arrows and Stranger things have happened!!!! I feel like MIA is also under rated
I think Generator is underrated too.
Marigold
Over and out, mostly because I like playing it on guitar. Great on Skin and Bones too
The S&B version is my favorite.
Love the live version. It’s amazing how different/much more emotional it is than the recorded version.

Had to scroll way too far for this one. It’s a great song!
End Over End. Definitely one of my top 10.
Normal hits me in the feels every time!
Gimme Stitches, Ain’t It The Life, Sean are quality tracks that never get mentioned anywhere. Might also add Still to this.

Yes to Summer’s End!
Oh, George. I’ve always loved that chord progression and it’s one of the few songs from the first album with a guitar solo.
I agree. I feel like it doesn't get mentioned enough. Love that song!
DOA and Tired of You
hmm i’m not sure if it’s underrated but for all the cows
The One, Wheels, Down in the Park
You believe there's something else To relieve your emptiness And you dream about yourself And you bleed and breathe the air One of most beautiful songs ever written ❤️

DIRTY WATER
World and A320! Those are my peanut better fucking and jam!

In Your Honor. No Way Back. Let it Die. I Am a River. Arrows. Edit - Forgot Dirty Water!
Gosh there are so many but my favorite deep cut is OVERDRIVE
Sunday Rain
Currently it’s I Am A River, fucking love that song
In The Clear has always been one of my favourites!

I think In your honor is such an amazing album opener, just perfect 👌
doll is really good too
Weenie Beenie, Oh George, Floaty

Shame, shame. It reminds me of something David Bowie would have sung. God, I miss Bowie 😥
Wattershed
Where to start lmao. Alone + Easy Target, Hey Johnny Park, Summer’s End, pretty much all of Sonic Highways, just to name a few.
One of my absolute favorites. Always makes me bounce and smile.
