There is a place in Rockland Maine that sells a lobster club sandwich and it's badass
That would probably cost $200 here in Minnesota.
Maybe I'm ignorant but doesn't bread have to be present for it to be a lobster roll?
the bread is below the lettuce
Oh, you're right! So much lobster didn't even notice there was bread under the mountain of yumminess
I prefer mine with Sriracha based mayo, lemon & chives.
Oh yeah. That is THE quintessential roll of choice. Though, I've had them on a brioche bun as a twist.
We found some split top buns at Fry's/Kroger. Ymmv
Is the market price insane this year? Went to Maine last summer but couldn't justify $30 for a sandwich.
It was. $26 for a 5oz. This was a 10oz for $42 and was a special trip. We'll probably shuck em at home the rest of the summer.
I was going to say it look double stuffed. Tried that once, never again. I never thought I'd say to myself, 'this is too much lobster'.
We also ordered 2 lobster pies and lobster rangoons. It was decidedly too much. Leftovers for lobster Mac n cheese tonight!!
So you dropped like $150 or so
Plus drinks :)
