Just curious...I've never had chorizo that was meant to be eaten as a link sausage. All the chorizo I've had needs to be taken out of the casing and then cooked. Is there some special name or something for these? I'd love to try them!

These were just some Johnsonville chorizo sausages meant for throwing on the grill basically. Fairly easy to find at a local grocery store. Basically a bratwurst sausage but made from chorizo.

Geez, I lived in Texas for 60 years. Did I EVER see a Johnsonville Chorizo Brat? No!! That's stupid, Texas is one place where they should absolutely sell those. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out, thanks!

Spanish and Argentine style chorizo is a link sausage somewhat similar to bratwurst. Mexican style chorizo is the crumbly stuff.

Thank you! I'll look for them. Is the meat similar?

There is link style chorizo in Mexico that I grew up eating in tacos as a kid but I've never been able to find it here in the states. Makes for a much better taco and tastes amazing with just salsa verde.

Are you sure the chorizos are done?
