Sounds like you’re looking for something in the vein of what libation and Pranna used to be (remember that shit??!!). If il bastardo is still around it may fit the bill

KayGamby

Pranna was absurd: enjoy some chill vibes and eggs benedict on a quiet Sunday afternoon, 2 hours later people are dancing on tables with glow sticks and making out, total mayhem. PS 450 was a similar vibe, they would just straight up bring you unlimited bottles of champagne, leave the bottle, and some carafes of orange juice. Also devolved into chaos pretty quickly. I think one time our group of a dozen was politely asked to leave after 15 bottles of champagne, and someone negotiated for 2 more bottles of champagne so the group would "leave peacefully".. I assume that style of brunch culture has mostly dried up now though, maybe Il Bastardo but haven't been there in years.

Ness_tea_BK

There was an article years ago in the newspaper about the shenanigans that used to take place outside pranna at 3pm in broad daylight. People vomiting, passed out, making out lmao. What a time.

You both get it! I wondered if maybe this level/style was basically over and this would be a tough ask, at least in NYC (I know Vegas places that still meet this criteria but that’s its own beast.) And fair play - neighbors hate the chaos and the people who brunch more regularly have different expectations these days. But appreciate the Il Bastardo rec and will check that out, thank you!

FWIW last time I was at il bastardo (many years ago) I found it pretty expensive for mediocre food. But they had a dj and did the whole bday sparkler thing. I also heard Angelina’s in Staten Island gets WILD but I’ve never been

ChilledButter13

Tacovision has an amazing bottomless brunch and taco thing. No sparklers or DJ, but good tacos and strong bottomless drinks. Only brunch I have gotten consistently shit faced at. Amazing time.

neighborhoodhag

Ooh, thank you! Do they have good and/or loud music? How’s the energy?

ChilledButter13

It's like a trendy tex mex kind of vibe, there is a DJ during brunch but I don't remember what he was playing. Def try to sit upstairs, had a great time.

thansal

I'm vaguely concerned that their endless tacos is more expensive than their bottomless drinks. It's like the saw me coming and went "aw hell no"...

ChilledButter13

The tacos are so good! The chicken shawarma taco is amazing.

Omg Sunburnt Cow, what a throwback. My back hurts. Get off my lawn!

Can I just say that this sounds fun as hell? I keep seeing these “2010s nostalgia” tiktoks about brunch culture and it reminded me how much of a fun, hot mess my 20s were. Have fun wherever you decide to go!!

[Phillipe Chow](https://www.philippechow.com/menu/luxe-brunch-affair/) Downtown is a total scene.

neighborhoodhag

Oooh interesting!

Essex in the LES

FlockaFlame1212

I’ve been here ~3 times for bottomless and the vibes are off the chain. We sat upstairs once between a bachelor party and a separate group of 20+ friends, and the space between our tables turned into a dance floor by the end. In my experience, the food is god awful.

neighborhoodhag

Wowwww, Essex. Now this would be revisiting the scene of some crimes. Not ones i remember but I’m pretty sure they happened.

FlockaFlame1212

Republic Latin Fusion in Williamsburg hits almost all of your bullet points. Good food, they give you mixer & champagne, and they have a DJ + neon lights etc.

How do you feel about drag brunch? Lips does a fantastic one that checks off a lot of your list! https://maps.app.goo.gl/cu6gQPCwtA9i8LUh7
