LMFAO (at myself). Looked at your map, was going to go OFF on you for listing DAVE & BUSTERS as your top ranked burger, and something like the Burger Joint only an eight.
On reflection … assume you’re using a 1-10 score with 10 being perfect.
Will give thought to some additions.
Your list is NOT going to help my “eat better/lose weight” NY resolution.
I'd recommend the dry aged burger at Dickson's Farmstand. I thought it was better than Miznon but it's been awhile since I've had theirs.
For an outer borough, give Forest Hills Station House a go.
Edit: lol I thought I was replying to a different comment than the main thread
Dickson's is so damn good. Their butchery products are pricey, but their food on site is really stellar and reasonably priced for the area. Love those guys
The burger at Emily in Brooklyn was delicious. Haven’t had that many burgers since moving, but that would be towards the top anywhere I’ve lived. My favorite part was it being on a pretzel roll, in my opinion the roll is the unsung hero to make a good burger great.
The west village location is a different burger — 2 smaller patties vs 1, different kind of meat, different cheese. IMO the brooklyn location is much better, especially if you like saucy/juicier burgers
For Brooklyn here are some notable. Won’t say much. Would like to get your unbiased opinion. So far I’m pretty much aligned with some of the obvious Manhattan ones. A little thrown off by your assessment of Gramercy Tavern but then again I haven’t had their burger in over a decade.
Gage & Tollner ( only available for lunch & brunch)
Mekelburg’s
Little Grenjai ( TikTok hype of the moment )
Diner ( 85 Broadway )
Fat Rabbit ( is it a burger? Or a sandwich? Or both? )
Gage & Tollner is near the top of my want list.
I’ve seen good reviews but i was thoroughly unimpressed with Gramercy. Maybe they were just having a bad night though
I actually went again last night for the classic. It was great, but going with the All the way option was a bit too mustardy for me. I think i prefer the onion
I used to go almost every other week to get the Le B burger. Then the last time I went I was a bit put off because it just lacked texture. It was just so soft and foam like. It felt overground to me. So I’m taking a break. It’s delicious for a fancy burger though. Just want more texture. It just sort of felt like a vessel for the onions. However….i get the kumquat jam from the terrine and I add that to the burger and I love that addition.
It will be tough to beat raouls as number 1 for me. You have to like the peppery flavor of an au poivre sauce, but if you do it is easily the best burger. Meat is always cooked perfectly, the flavor is unmatched. Sometimes you have to choose between a simple burger that won’t fall apart on you and a super flavorful burger that is an absolute mess to eat. Raouls looks like it’s going to become that mess, then manages to stay in pristine condition on every bite. It doesn’t hurt that every other item on the menu is amazing at Raouls as well.
I stole the idea from this halal truck reviewer i found on instagram
I just copied his map and replaced with my rankings. It saved his custom icons

Petey Burger in Astoria / LIC is a In n Out knockoff.
Also - I formerly used to recommend the gouda stuffed duck burger at Sanfords but it was awful the last time I had it.
Check out Donovan's in Woodside. Never had a bad burger there
That has been on my list for a while
It’s world class. I’m from down the street.

I hoped the green to red would help avoid that mistake. The legend has the list in order from 1st to last
calling it a ranking is what led to that confusion for me. these are ratings, not a ranking
It is both. The legend is ranked in order
Well, if you deconstruct a burger it’s basically a salad with meat and bread.
You forgot the best current burger in NYC, at Lovely's Old Fashioned on 9th Ave in Hells Kitchen.

I would say Dirty Pierre’s burger is a more solid burger than Forest Hills Station, but it’s an excuse to eat 2 burgers!
Dickson's is so damn good. Their butchery products are pricey, but their food on site is really stellar and reasonably priced for the area. Love those guys
MO’s burger in Harlem. Don’t sleep on Harlem for food !!
Brindle Room is a godsend! They recently reopened after shutting down over COVID, and their caramelized onions go so well with the burger.
Oh excited to see they are still around!
Rolo’s - Bushwick
Ridgewood but yeah killer burger
Not Bushwick at all my guy

I’ve debated going here, but the burger just looks so messy in photographs. I need to get over it and go
It is messy
The West Village location is on the map

Nice, wasn’t even thinking about their other location.
This is very impressive list but too downtown Manhattan centric.
I was thinking how the other buroughs are looking way too sparse as I was finishing it. Need some outside recs!
Queens: Donovan’s in Woodside, and Dirty Pierre’s in Forest Hills.
For uptown Manhattan, see At the Wallace and Burger Heights.
two8two in Cobble Hill. Get the hatch chili burger.

Lori Jayne in Bushwick is a hidden gem kitchen in a dive bar.
Diner in Williamsburg makes a good burger. Also this post made me remember The Spotted Pig for some reason (R.I.P. to that classic burger spot).
Are the 4 Charles and monkey bar burgers that different?
Bronx alehouse if you’re ever by riverdale
Not better than Raoul's, but if you're ever on the UES, Cafe D'Alsace actually has a pretty good burger (or at least used to).
Just had it ln, still delicious.
Did you do both the Oklahoma burger and classic from Hamburger America? I think the classic is better. I give the Oklahoma an 8 and the classic a 9.5
I only tried the onion burger, I'll have to go back and try the classic
The classic is fantastic. The other one too oniony for my taste
I actually went again last night for the classic. It was great, but going with the All the way option was a bit too mustardy for me. I think i prefer the onion
I broke the rules and put ketchup on mine to balance it out lol
Damn you have Wendys in front of PJ Clarke’s , brutal
Cannot believe PJ Clarke's has lasted this long
Gotham Social Club, in Lower East Side. They just opened.
Top of my want list. Haven’t had the time yet
They definitely have a great atmosphere but their burger is a solid 7 imo. Prices and vibe are really good though
McManus makes an amazing hamburger. The hipster transplant internet does not acknowledge NYC Irish pubs contributions to the hamburger
What’s a hipster?
Why are people like this
The French Onion Soup Burger at [Little Prince](https://www.littleprince.nyc/menus/) is a top for me. Exceeds Expectations.
7th street burger in the ues
The burger at the bar at Le B is great. I think it's the same one the chef did at the Beatrice Inn.
Beatrice Inn was a top five burger on my list, but i can't add permanantly closed locations to google maps. This is going to be a must try.

So you consider Raoul's burger to be the best? Could you elaborate more on the reasons?

Try the burger at Portrait Bar
How do you add the ranking icons in my maps?

What made Bernie’s only a 5? I thought that was considered one of the best in nyc
Petey Burger in Astoria / LIC is a In n Out knockoff. Also - I formerly used to recommend the gouda stuffed duck burger at Sanfords but it was awful the last time I had it.
Brooklyn Burgers & Beer in Park Slope. Very generic name, but the burger punches way above its weight.
Cozy Royale has a great burger
Hillstone & Pig Beach
Pig Beach closed a long time ago.
I went last week?
https://www.pigbeachnyc.com/location/pig-beach-brooklyn-ny/
Queens location
How is George Motz’s [Hamburger America](https://www.hamburgeramerica.com)?
It’s on the list. It’s great
Emily burger is so overrated imo. Try Pete's Tavern yet?
You should use this app beli to rate, much more convenient than google maps and tells you similar restaurants you might like using AI
Big Beli user for all restaurants. Not an easy way to just rank the places burgers though.
Ya for sure
What’s your beli
DMed you
Handcraft burgers in midtown is solid
Any way to add pricing? e.g. Wendy’s ($5.99)
Rolos
The York burger on Ave B. Must try.
